1. How long were you an active on TTGP? about 4 cycles (the first two were NTNP and not active TTC)

3. GIF that represents your SO's face when you told him/her about the BFP. (note that this is meant to indicate shock, as his first words were "what? I really thought this would take longer, I'm not ready yet." Sigh.)

4.Rants/Raves/Randoms. As with DD, I'm somewhat annoyed that I caved and tested early because now I have SO LONG before my first ultrasound. I'm basically just hanging out, praying that this bean will stick, and that this pregnancy will be as straightforward as my first one. Also, I can't wait for the others from TTGP to arrive, this is a seriously awesome grad group.

1. How long were you active on TTGP? Late May- September. I spent a whole lot of my summer off bumping.

I really couldn't believe there was another tiny line on my Wondfo.

He shrieked, "Are you serious?" and had a super cheesey grin. It was not how I expected him to react at all and super cute.

I'm ready for this board to be organized! I also just received a mini loaf of pumpkin bread from a student. I will be eating that now.

4. R/R/R: I kind of wish I had tested later because my anxiety is high. My period isn't due till Saturday. So for the next week or so I will be obsessively peeing on things, afraid one day it's going to be negative. I just keep repeating the mantra, today I am pregnant.

Looking forward to the BMB filling out and getting to know all the ladies over the next 9 months. Anddddd... I just want to meme all the things. Just a littleeeee, but being on a BMB so early makes me feel like I'm on a first date where I need to be on my best behavior or I won't get a call back. I didn't jump into my last BMB until my first U/S.

@swanbrooner – I am sooooooo with you on waiting for this board to be organized. I feel like there are a lot of one off posts happening. It is something I miss about the TTGP board.

Even though I am ready for #2 its taking me a little while to wrap my head going through pregnancy and labor again – I am not one of those ladies who loveees the pregnancy thing. If I could just be handed a baby that would be ideal.

He is was ecstatic He is more prepared than me – but I guess that’s because he still has a 9 month wait till it is “real” for him. Us ladies start to deal with it a lot earlier.

4.Rants/Raves/Randoms.

On the same boat with all of you that it is hard to wait for that first appointment. It is always so reassuring each time you go in and hear the heartbeat. I am ready to do that so I can set my mind at ease a bit.

@lmc929 I've been saying that for MONTHS, even before we started actively TTC again...I was like "I mean if you handed me a baby today I'd be good, I just don't want to be pregnant again really" haha. Pregnancy is not the best. I miss wine.

@delujm0 Yessss! So glad I am not alone. There is this brief part between feeling sick and feeling like a whale that I feel okay but otherwise, I just miss the wine too.

@lmc929 The one offs are a little ridiculous. They are mostly questions that could be answered by Google or could go in the Pregnancy Chatter and Questions thread. I would never assume that my own question was speshul enough to merit it's own thread. It's either that mentality or just not being willing to lurk.

I said something about it in the bitchfest thread earlier this week. There were a few people who shared my opinion and others who it didn't bother. It is just rough coming from such a well managed and organized board. S

I'm with you all about the random one-posts on the board. I went to go read a thread today and quickly realized that it was just a dear diary thing...which is fine, I guess. It's was just so much more organized over on TTGP. But like @Elyse1384 said, it'll likely mellow out here in a few weeks/months.
When is everyone's first doc appts? I just booked mine today for November 3rd, which seems far away but I'm sure it'll go quicker than I assume (especially since I'm dreading a flight I have to go on the following day).
Oh, also: is anyone already dealing with nausea? I'm feeling it a majority of the time and am really surprised as I thought it was too early for this sort of thing.

My first appointment is 10/27.

I started having nausea after lunch this week. This morning was the first morning where I had to remain within sprinting distance of the toilet, even though I didn't end up puking...just a lot of gagging. Oh, joy.

@sirius37 I'm 11/3 too! My dr does a dating ultrasound at 8w. I'll be 7w6d based on O date, but 8w3d based on lmp. I let them schedule based on lmp so I could get in a few days sooner :-)

@swanbrooner Ugh, gagging. Mine hasn't gotten quite to that point yet; mainly just a really unpleasant stomach ache a lot. I have a feeling as this progresses I'll full-out upchuck while standing in liquified whale guts (part of my job) and it'll give away the game to my employer....

@delujm0 Holy crap! You did the exact same thing I did! I know I O'd on CD 21, so I'll really be 7w1d at the ultrasound but according to my lmp I would have been 8w1d. For the record, I did mention I knew my O date and it was a longer cycle, but the girl brushed it off so I didn't fight it.

1. How long were you active on TTGP? I was a lurker for a long time but actively posting since August. Spent most of my time recently on the IF weekly check in, that was a little more my speed.

Lol! I was so excited to move out of lurking that I chimed in on WTO CD 1 of cycle 1 (August 8). So I was only around for a little over 2 months.

Wish I could say I freaked out and cried, always thought I would, but I was honestly confused and doubting the result because I only took the test to rule out pregnancy and confirm my + ovulation test! So my response was more like "What? No... what the heck is my body doing?!"

Eeek I still feel a little cautious about moving over here, but I'm starting to let myself get excited!

But *Rant* I have set up doctors appointments with 2 different offices... the one that does my annual (which I always see an NP for so this would be with someone I haven't met), and one with the physician who did my cold knife cone biopsy in 2010, because I really like and trust him. I'm not sure which to cancel yet....

here's the deal: My current office set up 2 appointments, an informational nurse visit with a beta draw on Nov 9 and an appt with the physician where we would do a scan for a heartbeat on Nov 28.

The other office set up an appointment with the physician on Nov 21. The receptionist said they would do a beta draw but typically don't do any ultrasounds until 20 weeks!!! She also said they have a Doppler for heartbeat but often it can't be picked up until after 12 weeks which seems like a crazy long time, especially since we will see DH's family on thanksgiving and will likely announce to them at that time so that we can do it in person.... they would also call it anyway if I refuse drinks over the entire weekend. I just hoped to have a little more evidence that things are moving along okay but that point.

Honestly I'm torn because I prefer the schedule of my current office but prefer going to a doc that I'm familiar with. They would deliver at 2 different hospitals so I have to look into that a little further as well. I guess I see so many people post ultrasound pics before their anatomy scan that I thought it was just the norm!

I was first active in the spring of 2015 for a few months. I took a break from posting and just lurked for a while. I became active again in September.

I was only 11DPIUI/10DPO so my second line was super faint. I wasn't sure if I was seeing what I thought I was seeing, then I started to get excited.

DH has been working nights so I he had just gone to bed when I got up. He really didn't comprehend what I was saying until much later in the day.

I agree with the others that I miss the organization of the TTGP board. I feel like the daily and weekly threads encourage more interaction.

@mrlight it does to me too! I'm leaning toward keeping my appointments with my regular office so I can see a scan at 10 weeks (by O date I will be 10 weeks 2 days and then at least we could say to DH's family that we are announcing *cautiously* and have a scan scheduled for the Monday after we return). The earlier appointment is just a nurse appointment so the scan would be the first time meeting the physician and if we don't like her I figure we can always switch & schedule later appointments with someone else, right? Plus the hospital I would deliver at with that plan is the one I work for, so it's a familiar environment, and also the one with the most comprehensive NICU/ICU capacities, which is kind of a peace of mind factor (God forbid we should need those)

well this is not our first rodeo and each time the nerves mount a little higher. I tested at night dpIUI 11

4.Rants/Raves/Randoms: it's been a very stressful week since we found out. 4 rounds of betas later we are finally feeling better. My RE was a little concerned at first but numbers have gone 15, 38.5, 72, 171 all 48 hours apart so we are scheduled for our last beta next week and first scan Thursday at 5w4d. We will be getting weekly checks until I graduate from him at 10w if we can make it that far this time

@sirius37 @lmc929 yay ultrasound buddies!

With DD I ovulated day 31 and I had to fight my doctor office on my 8 w scan bc the receptionist insisted I base it on lmp. I knew they wouldn't see anything at 5.5 weeks and would just make me go back later. So I called and talked to a nurse and she fixed it so I went in at 7w6d based on O. I measured 8w2d so that's what they based EDD on.

This time I ovulated day 19 so I figured it's only a few days off lmp and they won't make me go back again later so it should be fine. I will do the same as last time and warn the ultrasound tech before she starts that I ovulate late and tell her my expectation so that they don't think there is something wrong. Last time she was like "so you're a bit over 10 weeks?" And I was like "closer to 8 actually" and since I was right it didn't freak them out that it was so different from lmp.

@delujm0 Well damn...is 7w1d too soon to go in? I'm sure I could call them back and say I want to schedule for the following week if I need to. I was thinking 11/3 was great timing when the receptionist suggested it since we leave out of state to see DH's family the next day, but obviously whatever is best for baby is what needs to happen. I figured 1 week off wouldn't be too bad, but I honestly have no idea what I'm doing.

@sirius37 7w1d should be late enough to see a heartbeat, so you should be fine. If I'd gone in at 5-6 weeks they would have made me go back at 8 to make sure everything was ok, and DH and I taking off work twice in two weeks for dr appt would have looked weird. I was young and naive the first time, and none of my friends had miscarried that I knew if so I was like "oh of course I'll wait until 8 weeks everything is fine!" Fast forward two years and so many people I know have had issues I've previously never even heard of and my sil and three best friends all miscarried, some multiple times, and I'm 34 now and closing in on AMA, so I'm much more anxious this time. If they'd have me in at 7 weeks, I'd take it! My office's standard is dating scan between 8-9 weeks unless you have had previous loss or are otherwise high risk.

@Sirius37 I got in at 7+2 as that is when my specialist said they should be able to see the heartbeat. You're good!
