BEING SO SICK. My medicine barely helps. With DD the second I hit 12 weeks I was instantly better, so I woke up Sunday ready to dance ... and then puke up everything. I really, really just want to feel normal. And be able to drink liquids. I cannot even swallow any beverage except Dr. Pepper and OJ. I am, therefore, a cranky, dehydrated person.
Needing extra time to recover from stuff. This has gotten a little better recently, but in 1st tri I would go to DH's football games, leave early and STILL wake up with this hungover-like feeling no matter how long I slept. All of the morning-after suffering with none of the night-before fun!
When i hear other mothers to be freak out over every little thing. For example: listeria.....
Eat the damn ham sandwich your baby will not sprout a 3rd arm from their forehead! Seriously all our parents ate things like lunch meat.... you can get listeria from ANYTHING these days. Seriously spinach was recently recalled for listeria... should we cut that from our diet too.
I had another mom to be say she was so jealous when I told her I went to subway by saying "you're so brave".... nope I was hungry, bye Felicia.....
it just makes me stabby
***also I'm sure i was like that the first time around, I seriously think to myself all the time.."man was I that bad the first time"
For me it's the constant exhaustion and feeling bigger and more limited this time around than with my first pregnancy.

+1. It's so brutal this time around! I have never been so sick and miserable my entire life! I've had a total of maybe 4-5 good days and then the nausea hits with a vengeance! It's starting to feel like I'm never going to not be nauseous or throw up again. So depressing! Hard not to be in a bad mood when you feel so sick.
I think since we got pregnant only seven weeks after mc, I've hated that I can't enjoy anything. So much anxiety and fear of loss again. And those few who knew I was pregnant expecting me to be happy and excited when I'm still grieving the first one. I'm hopeful that I'll start feeling excited soon. Especially after I feel some kicks.
Also, I've already started getting the "are you sure there's only one in there"? at 12 weeks. Yeah, I'm sure, with 3 u/s to prove it. This is my third baby and my first two were 7 lbs 14 oz and 8 lbs 13 oz, without even making it to my due date. I'm 5'3" and grow gargantuan babies. Suck it......and stop asking asshole questions like that.
YES @BeachMommy2B I get a cold sandwich 1x per week. Which is nothing for me! I could eat them every day. And every time I have one my coworker side eyes me and lectures me about lysteria. It makes me so mad!

My biggest pet peeve is when people butt into my life. What I'm eating, what I'm wearing, what activities I partake in. I'm pregnant, not handicapped!
My last pregnancy I had a craving for hard boiled eggs. So I would have 1-2 each morning with a bit of salt and a coworker would give me shit about the salt. Back up off me and my cravings!!!
Hahaha...sorry, but these (re: people butting in where they shouldn't) are making me laugh and get grumpy simultaneously. On a similar note, I had someone at work tell me that I shouldn't be wearing high heels because it's not safe during pregnancy. Uh yeah, if I had a big pregnant belly I MIGHT worry about my balance, but I'm only 15 weeks (and was about 10 weeks then).
I can't stand how short-tempered I am while I am pregnant! Especially in the beginning. Every sets me off... my co-worker (with no kids and a husband who does everything) complaining about how tired she is and always coming in late, my 1 year old acting like a toddler at dinner last night and DH did nothing about it, questions at work that I would normally happily answer, etc. I'm usually a mild-mannered person, but when I'm pregnant I feel like a monster! This went away about 14 weeks with DS, I only hope it does with this one too.
Little things can set me off - I was a basket case from Saturday til Monday - just couldn't do anything I was so sad!
Mostly my mother butting in - don't lift your arms over your head, don't run, don't eat that, eat that, don't wear tight clothes, don't this or that. I remind her that stress is really bad for the babies and I can only pinpoint one source.... shuts her up usually.

this x100. I'm on #4 and my oldest just turned 4 a few weeks ago. All 3 of them have been over 8 1/2 lbs born a week early. People are so rude.
The pure exhaustion this this time is out of this world. I can't wait for it to go so I can get some of my energy back. Hopefully REALLY soon.
Yes to the exhaustion! I'm finally sleeping fine....no more up for 3 hrs in the middle of the night. But now I can't seem to catch my breath after walking up a flight of stairs.

THIS. Or being surprised that you aren't due any day bc of your size. DS was a 10 pounder at birth, and measured big the entire time, and I didn't have GD either--just a big baby. People would also be shocked over the summer that I was only have 1 baby and due early November. I also had someone at work try to imitate my waddle when I close to the end--like really?? You carry about this giant baby and show me how you manage to walk to the bathroom a hundred times during your shift. People need throat-punched for asking pregnant women ignorant questions lol.
I hate my temper. I already have a bad one, but I have no patience when I'm pregnant. And with this one, the nausea has been so bad.
I'm over the rude comments I keep getting from people. "You're pregnant AGAIN?!" "Can you even afford another baby since you don't work?" Apparently running my business from home isn't considered real work. And my favorite...straight from my delightful mother in law, "you look so run down already, are you sure you can handle another one? You should probably wean the baby soon"
Hey thanks for pointing out how tired I am and making me feel worse. Also, don't worry about when I wean my baby. What I do with my boobs is my business. Step off! Grr!

Being touched. I was fit and relatively flat stomached before pregnancy, so I popped a little sooner (mostly bloating, but the little one is poking out a bit now). At 15 weeks, I've been touched 3 times - unwanted touching of the belly - and I swear to all that is precious and holy, I may have this kid in jail, 'cause I'm removing the hand of the next person that does it. I'M NOT A PETTING ZOO.
@BluesGal10 ugh I get you. I haven't been yet but I do NOT want to be touched and I don't look forward to it. I saw a shirt that says "if you didn't put it there, don't touch it." I'm so tempted to buy it.
Just got back from an appointment and I was lectured over having a cup and a half of coffee today - seriously? I'm over all of it! No nitrates, no caffeine, no lunchmeat, no cheese, no Caesar dressing, wash everything 10 times, nothing cooked medium, no sushi, no alcohol, no medicines, no salt, no herbal teas. Despite me being 16 weeks this was my first real appointment this preg and I swear as I'm sitting there listening to all this my eyeball just starts twitching since it's bringing up all the reasons I hate going to the OB. I know some of it makes sense (hello, no smoking), but Jesus are pregnant women 'allowed' to do anything?!? The listeria warnings in particular drive me insane @BeachMommy2B
The not knowing is the worst this time. My symptoms went away about week ten. I swear I lay in bed every night trying to convince this little guy to move just so I know he/ she is alive in there. With DS, I had heart burn constantly so I at least felt pregnant. With this one, I felt HORRIBLE the first few weeks and then nothing. I'm still exhausted daily, but I have a two year old and 40 fourth graders so ... i was going to buy a monitor, but the doctor couldnt even find a heart beat with her Doppler until I had an ultrasound last week so I'm scared buying one would make me more anxious.
@mallyandryan I have felt horrible but around week 10 my symptoms went away for a few days and it was torture bc I couldn't help but think something was wrong. My dr couldn't find the heartbeat with the doppler either that week so I didn't want to try with mine bc I knew it would cause unnecessary worry.. I've had three ultrasounds since (stubborn baby wouldn't let then get the right picture) and baby is perfect.. my sickness is back all day and I'm sad I didn't enjoy the few normal days I had!
I hate feeling super crappy but guilty about trying to save as much time as possible for leave so I can't really cal in sick. I don't like being less than 100% at my job and I have been operating at around 50%.
I hate when people ask about birth plans. I give birth at home, unless there's a medical reason not to. Inevitably someone has to share why their baby (or the mom) would have died if not in a hospital. K, thanks. Not helpful.
