Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:26-27&33-34

@Jenshoes: I think the weight restrictions are basically anything that causes you to strain. I have been super careful on my weights, I was using 8-10-15s for my weights and I have stopped using the 15s but I think that is just paranoia causing me to do that. If you don't strain I think it would be ok.

@Jenshoes - The biggest concern with weights during pregnancy is that because ligaments are looser, that you might end up hurting yourself or pulling a muscle. If you feel comfortable with it, you should be fine although you might want to reduce weight as your belly gets bigger because you lose the core strength that helps with lifting weights. I normally have found that I don't need to make adjustments until I get to 3rd tri, except if it's boot camp or circuit training because higher weights will get me out of breath more easily.

@vrj0522 That makes sense... I'm a pretty active person, so it is not out of the ordinary to lift that weight. she made it seem like I would spontaneously give myself a miscarriage if I lifted more than 25 pounds.
@Jenshoes - that's one of those old wives tales that's been around forever and is not true. My mom is the same way and freaks out if she sees me lifting anything, even though I do weights and often find myself carrying my two kids at the same time who are a combined 65 lbs.
