This morning I got to school an hour early to drive an hour with a coworker to a training. We get to the place the training was supposed to be and no one is there. I called my principal who then informed us that the training was cancelled and she must have forgot to tell us. Fortunately she also forgot to cancel our subs so at least our classes are covered. So anyway my principal is the TW today for having us write sub plans, get to school an hour early, and drive two hours for nothing.
My co-worker is a twatwaffle. I love her, and for breakfast this morning I ate 2 Reeses cups (dont judge, its going to be a bad day here. I NEED them!), and she looked at me and said 'do you know how many calories are in those?'. If my phone let me gif, I would post a pic of the glare I gave her.
The car service place is the twatwaffle. My car died and needed the transmission control module changed. Fine, whatever. They fix it and tell me to come pick it up on Thursday. When I get there they tell me they replace the module but the clutches are on back order and they'll call me when they're in. I make sure my car is safe to drive, and they assure me it's good to go.
Cue me driving to the spa Friday and my car dies AGAIN. So I call and am ragey but there's "nothing they can do til Tuesday" because it's a long weekend here in Canadaland.
So I get here at 8:00 this morning and there's no one here, despite them telling me to get here for 8. It's now almost 10 and I'm still waiting here and my boss is probably going to kill me.
@kiwi2628 Reese Cups. are. my. jam. I'm currently having a love affair with the little pumpkins that they put out for Halloween. It's getting serious and I'm worried that I may soon have to make a choice between them and having dress pants that fit.
To your coworker, from me:

Friday. I wake up to go to work. He tells me he needs to go the ER because his foot hurts and he can't really walk on it. (We had gone to Disneyland on Sun and it had been hurting ever since). I call in sick and take him to our local urgent care instead (cause cheaper than ER). They tell him that he has stress fractures and needs to see a specialist. They make us an appointment 45 min away and I take him to that too. Specialist says the x-rays that urgent care took are the worst images she's ever seen and takes new ones. Turns out that he doesn't have stress fractures, he just has some strained ligaments (so urgent care doc is TW too I guess?). She tells us that he needs to stay off of it, keep it elevated, ice 5-6 times a way and take anti-inflammatories. We start that regimen that evening. Saturday, we keep going with the regimen.
Sunday, we have tickets to Hollywood Horror Nights at Universal (it's like this Halloween thing at a theme park with mazes and scare zones and involves a LOT of walking around). DH still wants to go. I tell him that he needs to wear the boot the doctor gave him. He's like no, it will prevent me from stretching out my foot. I tell him we need to rent a wheelchair then. He says I'm overreacting (he regularly accuses me of being a hypochondriac because I encourage going to the doctor when you don't feel well. weird, right?). I say we're not going otherwise. He swears to me that he'll let me know if it hurts and rest it if he needs to. So I cave. We go Sunday and have a good time. Monday, he wakes up and tells me his foot hurts again. Who among us didn't see that coming? I have now forced him back on the doctors regimen.
@verde1982 your story sounds JUST like my DH. Last year he started having bad foot pain but refused to see a doctor. I got so tired of hearing his complaints I basically told him to shut up about it or see someone. So he goes and sees a doctor who says to ice it 10-15 every few hours, keep it raised above heart level, and stay off it if you can. He does that the first 2 days, not the 3rd, then resumed on day 4 because it got worse. Imagine that. Men. Have you heard of the man flu? (see link below)
@verde1982@osucma I can so relate. My DH likes to hurt his back, complain to no end, do nothing to help make it better, do a bunch of heavy lifting, keep complaining and moaning/groaning. Rinse and repeat.
@verde1982 yeah I would say DH is definitely being a TW. If he doesn't do what he's supposed to, he's not going to get better... (On one hand, that's one of my biggest pet peeves as I work in sports medicine, but still.) FX he listens to his orders and starts feeling better soon.
So as mentioned in threads from today we offered on a house Sunday night and yesterday they rejected it without a counter offer. Well 1 hour ago they changed their minds. So annoying that you not only didn't like our offer but you rejected it without a counter and now (probably after someone pointed out its the only offer in 20 days) you are like "Oh yes! Let's do this!" after my husband and I have been in talks about waiting until the new year at this point. *shakes head*
@verde1984 I have to agree with you that urgent care practitioners generally suck. My DH is a PA in primary care and I swear that spends 1/4 of his time correcting meds/procedures/tests etc that they performed.
@osucma I'm glad the sellers changed their minds, but why all the trickery and mind f*cks?

My coworker, who I spoke about a few weeks ago, is still a TW. She literally chased me down the hallway with her laptop in the three minutes I had to walk to pick up my class from lunch and acted like I was being the rude one for not dropping what I was doing to help her. (It was literally saving a document!!! Then she got annoyed she couldn't write on the PDF because it wasn't a Word document and somehow that's MY problem?) AND she left the copier jammed AGAIN.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
Eh, you know it will get the 'unwelcoming tone' just like I saw it coming on the other one. That or 'change of subject.' @lulu1180 We've got your back.
My very favorite part was "I don't have a lot of time to spend on the internet [so I just pop in and demand support when it's convenient for me]." Lololol. Good luck with that.

Yeah, "I don't have time to spend on the internet"... except for THREE pregnancy sites?!? Lady, I leave my house at 7 am for work and don't get home until 10 pm and not only do I find time to get on TB just about every day, but I also joined and started participating 5 months before TTC. While we're at it, I hate when people join like 10 days into TWW and then say they might test that day or within the next couple. So are you just using us to kill time for a day or two? AF just came in complete with rage.
