I have my monthly OB appointment today that was rescheduled from last week due to the hurricane. I also have a follow up with the perinatologist on Thursday for the measurements they couldn't get at the anatomy scan.
We had an appointment at the fetal care center and we go back on Thursday. Baby definitely only has one useful kidney so we just formally switched OB's to deliver at a different hospital.

Omg! I know we can live on just one kidney but will it be more difficult for baby? Seriously good luck to you!
I have my monthly appointment with my OB this week. I need to really ask him about the whooshing sound in my ear. It's driving me nuts and making me very irritable.
@AfKash I'm not really sure. The kidney was at one point normal and functioning and at my 20 week a/s it wasn't. Apparently everything else seems to be working fine and as long as the second kidney produces enough amniotic fluid and the bad kidney doesn't interfere with anything because of the size (it's big and has a cyst) we're good but it's not really clear what will happen after birth. I feel like on a scale of bad things that could happen this is pretty low though.
Positive thoughts for you and your baby @cantalopes24! Keep us updated.
I have a regular 4 week check up on Friday. We will be going over the A/S and we'll probably start talking about vaginal birth vs c-section. There's an 80% chance it'll be a c-section but we'll see what happens!

I just left my regular monthly OB checkup and everything looked good! I ended up getting a flu shot as well. My OB said next month will be the last monthly appointment before going every 2 weeks!
I also got the paperwork to take the glucose test next week (my OB sends everyone to the blood lab instead of in office). I also scheduled my last monthly visit and my monthly growth scan. During our a/s last month, we learned that the umbilical cord is not attached to the center of the placenta (which scared me at first!) but my OB said everything else is perfectly fine and that we will do monthly checks just as a precaution.
Tuesday morning is my anatomy scan with the ultrasound tech & Thursday we have our OB visit to review the results. Last pregnancy I was at a different doctor and my OB was the one who performed the ultrasound & gave immediate feedback. I'm a little bummed that won't be the case this time, but oh well. I'm hoping the sonographer will at least say it looks good or give a little feedback to ease my mind. I'm Still worried about my prior SCH, and I feel like I've been holding back being happy & truly bonding until we get the ok from the anatomy scan..
@cantalopes24 I hope everything else continues to go well.
I have my first real appointment today. It was supposed to be last week but it didn't happen. I guess it really should have been months ago. I will schedule a time for the glucose tolerance test in the next couple of weeks and then finally have an of appointment at the end of November.
I just want to hear the heartbeat and get clarification on some things.
EDIT I finally saw a doctor. He gave me the requisition for my glucose tolerance test next week and he is going to call the ob office himself to try and get my appointment moved up. Heartbeat is good.
I had a checkup with my regular Ob on Monday. She echoed what the MFM dr had said about the two vessel umbilical cord. I'm measuring on target according to fundal height and the heartbeat was good. Fetal echo is scheduled for the first week of November.
Just got back from my anatomy scan & the tech told me it looked great but that my doctor would officially review it and discuss at my apt Thursday. While I know that's not official, I can rest easy until Thursday! It looks like baby is definitely still a boy!
Got my finger poked today to follow up on iron levels... I'll do blood draws and IVs for days over that stupid finger stick. But this time didn't hurt at all and though I bled everywhere, it wasn't 1/10th as bad as my anxious brain expected. And iron levels are good again, so yay!
Question for STM+ moms: whennn do they usually start doing actual pelvic exams? I keep going in with the mindset that it might be a thing *this* time and to quit being a baby about it and it is going to happen eventually, and no I can't bolt out of the room when it does. My Dr. still hasn't seen me with my pants down, and hasn't brought it up... 24 weeks plus change now.
@MrsLittleMac not til the very end and not necessarily at all. I only had one because I requested it to see if I was dilated I was 39 weeks at the time.
Yaaaaaas I hope my OB is like that too. Obviously I realize there will be a lot of people seeing it all eventually, but I want to be otherwise distracted with, you know, pain and contractions and things that make modesty seem like no big deal.

Ooooh you'll probably have the strep test at around 35 weeks I think? It'll be a pants down swipe but I don't think they do an exam.
Mine started checking my cervix in the last month. Which now is just funny and pointless to me because I was zero dilated or effaced and delivered my baby less than 12 hours later lol.
I'm actually very surprised and happy that they don't do pelvic exams during pregnancy until the end!! I was not looking forward to it at all. With the ovarian cysts problems I've had over the years, I've had so many freaking pelvic exams. I'm glad to finally take a break!
I was mainly MIA, yesterday. Was very busy all day. But I did have my monthly visit. I did ask doctor about the crazy whooshing sound in my right ear. Turns out i have fluid in there. How'd that get there? But that's the good thing because now there's something I can do about it. I was afraid doc was going to say that it was pregnancy related and not much they can do. After this visit next month, I start seeing the doctor every 2 weeks!! Yay! It's getting close!
I had A/S round two yesterday. First was at 20 weeks and she couldn't get all the pics, went yesterday at 22 and got more, but still not all! Even though this scam lasted almost an hour and included two position changes. Doc told me to go back in 3-4 weeks for another try at cord insertion and nose/lips. I'm not complaining
@JulesFo I had a 2 blood vessel cord with my daughter. It was a bit scary but manageable. We were followed by a high risk doctor for several months as a pre-caution as she remained very very petite until the last 2 months. She packed on weight and was 8lbs 8oz at birth. If you have any questions or want to chat please dont hesitate. Sending you love momma!

Had my regular monthly check up with the OB yesterday - it went really well.
LO's heartbeat was nice and strong. We also discussed vaginal delivery vs csection. Due to complications with my last delivery, it seems the better option for me would be a c-section.... My doctor listed all the pros and cons for both and said essentially this is my decision either way. I was told to to think about it over the next month and come up with a decision by my next appointment. This is all starting to feel so real!

Yesterday we went to our repeat AS and she's doing great! Good heartbeat, very active and the tech said she saw no issues but my midwife will have a report on Monday. Plus, lots of pictures for the grandparents!

i have my monthly appointment today. I don't have my glucose test until December which seems a little late since they already gave me the drink!
