I just found out my cousin is pregnant! She is 12 weeks behind me. I was the first one of all the cousins in our family to get pregnant, so I am super excited that now she is expecting and there will be two so close in age!!!
I told him there was a pumpkin and a squash in there, which mystified him.
He said they look like something he would send his mom; not what he was going for at all. I found out he always asks specifically for no carnations and no baby's breath, cause I don't like them
@Patience7150 same!! Invitations for our shower went out this morning, but I noticed yesterday that someone already bought our rock n' play. I'm assuming it was one of the hostesses, but maybe Santa?
My in-laws bought us our travel system for the baby and I am way too excited! I know I can use it or anything but just having something big for this baby makes it feel real!
Tenant texts me yesterday that there is a limb on the roof of the rental house from the hurricane, and they think there may be a hole in the roof (Crap crap crap crap!). So, we got straight over there after work, DH climbs up and gets it down.
Not only was there no hole or damage whatsoever (yay!), the tenant recently had a baby and very kindly offered to pass down a box of NB clothes her son has already outgrown once she finishes sorting them!
You always hear horror stories about landlord/tenant relationships, but I try to always be friendly and respectful of my tenants, and 95% of the time they do the same in return! It is so much nicer to put in a little more effort and get that positive relationship out of it. Yes, it does backfire occasionally, but thus far no one has intentionally screwed us over, and I feel that is largely because I'm nice to them and treat them like people.
My husband loves to cook and he also works from home so he handles most of the house stuff (I totally have a house husband). And since I've been really starting to show, he has been making the most amazing meals and practically forcing me to have seconds every night at dinner! So yay for the banana bread I had for breakfast and the delicious pasta leftovers for lunch!!

I had to work crazy early today so I was in bed at 6pm, and when I woke up at 2am to pull myself together, I saw that DH had gotten me a meatball grinder to bring to work today for lunch. BONUS! lol
An older couple in our church has taken a little interest in my pregnancy. They never talked to us much before, anyway. They have been asking what colors we were going to use in our nursery, so when we had decided I told them. She let it slip that he likes to crochet baby blankets. I thought that was just the sweetest thing ever!
My mom showed me the baby blanket she made for our little girl. It us really simple white with a pastel rainbow chevron at the ends. I cried. Baby's first blanket!
We are in Hawaii for my best friends wedding! Not looking forward to wearing a bridesmaid dress while I feel like a blimp, but am happy to be on vacation and my LO is loving it!
@Gretchypoo homemade gifts are always so meaningful because it takes so much patience to make those things!
@alexispete so jealous!! Fingers crossed my brother gets stationed in Hawaii after bct instead of Alaska so we can have spontaneous vacations to visit him.
my glitter fart Wednesday isn't that exciting at all but I mentioned I fell and landed on my jaw several weeks ago (me-0 floor-1) and I broke a tooth. Well my dentist said I have excellent oral hygiene for anyone let alone someone who's pregnant! And I don't have to get a pricey crown for that broken first premolar, just a filling! Yay!
Edited because I called that tooth an incisor and I definitely didn't break a front tooth thank goodness. Let's blame pregnancy brain, not my blatant lack of teeth lingo knowledge and my feeble attempt to guess what that tooth was called.
I went nesting crazy yesterday going through stuff and organizing, and finished setting up the nursery! My heart is complete lol. DH still has to paint, but I hung the artwork so I can see where I want it, organized the room layout, washed the pack n play and have her crib ready to be assembled and clothes & blankets ready for washing. DH and I also played with the stroller to see how all the bells and whistles work, fun times
