6th iui tww - symptoms

We are currently going on our 6th iui with this being our 12th month of trying. Right now I'm at 7dpo and the past few days I've been having sharp pains in my lower abdomen. Has anyone ever had these symptoms and gotten their bpf? I'm feeling very hopeful this time around.

Re: 6th iui tww - symptoms

  • I had some mild sharp pains before my BFP, as well as some pretty constant uterine cramping/aching that definitely felt different than any other cycle. Be careful with symptom spotting though! It's great to remain hopeful but just know that it's impossible to really know where the symptoms are coming from, especially if you did a medicated cycle. FX for you, and I hope that you get your BFP!!

  • Thank you for sharing. I feel like every month I always think I have symptoms but I just feel this time it's different but who knows.
  • I've had sharp pains/twitching/pulling/cramping after all five of my IUI's, and I've never had a BFP. Just trying to keep it real with you. Sometimes we want it so badly we analyze every little twitch. Are you on progesterone? Suppositories, oils, oral whatever the kind, are prone to give you every pregnancy symptom in the book. Be careful with SS.
  • I am on progesterone. I've been on endometrin but they switched me to Prometrium just because it is much cheaper for me.  Maybe this new stuff is causing the sharp pains. I'm actually at my drs office now to get my levels checked.
  • Good luck, but yeah, don't get your hopes up too high; I've had weird twitching and cramping every cycle.  The real twist in all this is that even in "normal" circumstances, early pregnancy symptoms and PMS symptoms can be exactly the same; throw in all the hormones we're all on, and really the first two to four weeks of actual pregnancy are a total freakin' crap shoot, symptom-wise.  I've just gotten to the point where any hormonal symptom comes around that time and I'm just like "welp, here comes AF."  Maybe that's a little Debbie Downer for most people, but it's what works for me.  Although I do make sure not to go out and have a beer or ten and my big fat sushi dinner as a reaction to a little cramping and some spotting, either... That's all for when AF has safely and surely arrived.
