Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar experience to me at this point. My HCG levels have been doubling, except for the last draw, where they went up significantly, but didn't double in 48 hrs. They did a transvaginal ultrasound at 5 weeks (HCG was 2500), and didn't see any gestational sac. They also didn't see any evidence of ectopic. I will go back in a couple of days for a follow up U/S. Any hope that this embryo will still show up in my uterus? No cramping, no spotting, no bleeding. Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom!
Personally, I think 5 weeks may be too early to see much, if anything. My first US wasn't until just over 8 weeks, and even then, the gestational sac was measuring just a tad smaller than how far along I supposedly was. But she caught up and was always measuring ahead by a few days.
not to scare you, but I had a very similar experience that ended up being ectopic. it was my 3rd beta that rose but didn't double. On Wednesday, they couldn't see a sac. Thursday I ended up in the ER and they saw it. The only reason I'm posting is to tell you to be aware of your body and any symptoms. FX that all works out for you
