Aching in lower back

I'm towards the end of week 5 and this morning I started to notice some aching in my lower back, kind of towards the left side. It hurts more when I'm sitting or tightening my abdominal muscles. It's not too intense, and Google is mostly telling me this is a common symptom of early pregnancy. Anyone experience anything similar?

Re: Aching in lower back

  • Yup. Totally normal. No worries. Here's what I've learned over my lifetime: when something is actually wrong, you just know it. We have that sense. So don't stress.
  • I'm almost 11 weeks pregnant and have had  lower back pain off and on the entire pregnancy. It's normal. If it specifically hurts when tightening your abdominal muscles then make the appropriate adjustments to any exercise that you are doing but keep working out your core because that will help with lower back pain from your growing bump later on in pregnancy.
