Thursday Unpopular Opinions

Here they are!
(I think I may have used all of mine, personally. Having trouble of thinking of new ones.)

  • @shaunessa that seems to be a pretty popular opinion haha! I don't know anyone that likes them.

My unpopular opinion is that I hate graham crackers with a burning passion. They're like sad little cookies. They're only acceptable when they're crushed and mixed with butter for a cheesecake base!
  • Pumpkin everything!  I don't particularly hate the taste of pumpkin, I do however hate that EVERYTHING is pumpkin flavored or scented.  I'm so over seeing, smelling, and hearing about pumpkin.....unless it's pumpkin cream pie, then we can be friends.

  • @catem07 A guy in my neighborhood group did this! Someone replied that if they were truly concerned they needed to report it to the highway patrol or police.  :D

  • @smallanimal

In my household and immediate family!!!  My husband has them and loves them!  My mom, dad, sister...all have them!
  • I have to confess. I wore crocs one summer in college when I was doing work study to pay my room and board for the next year and worked on the irrigation crew in landscaping. They were so comfortable for stomping around campus with irrigation pipes, and waterproof! So they have their place, but they are not to be worn in daily life or fashion, IMO.
  • I wore crocs when I worked at Qdoba... Much easier to clean all the food droppings out of at the end of the night. And they're comfortable! I do wear a pair of their thong flip flops in the summer since they're much more supportive.
  • my unpopular opinion for today:  No food should be demonised, people who go all "sugar free" or run a mile at the sight of a little fat on a chicken breast, are idiots.  Everything is OK unless taken in vast quantities and the best diet is a simple "just eat good food and a bit less" diet.  This is certainly unpopular, otherwise there would not be a billions and trillions worth weight industry on miracle weight loss methods....
This is my life!  I'm a registered dietitian and it's frustrating trying to talk to people about food sometimes.  It's very simple logic, sadly too many just don't believe it.

  • I don't wear crocs. My husband wants a pair and I am trying to keep him from getting them!  My DS has them and they are quite convenient for toddlers. Just spray them off with the hose when they are muddy and he can easily put them on by himself.
  • I hate crocs too but my flip flops are from croc. The best flops I've ever had. Still going strong after 6 years.

  • LOVED my flip flop crocs!! But that's it....

my UO, natural birth to me means baby comes out of the vagina with no meds given to mom for pain.  This was a hot topic on my last bump baby.  Sorry C sections and epidural are not natural.  Doesn't change the beauty of giving birth in any way!  Nor does it lessen a women's birthing experience
  • @Beckyf321 I hate being pregnant as well.
    DS born 9/13/2012
    BFP#5: 8/21/2016
  • @Beckyf321 me too. No one told me it would be rainbows and butterflies, but this first pregnancy has been rough. I have been miserable for the past two months.

I'm really hoping I turn a corner and I will come
to enjoy it but as of right now, bleh.
  • All I've been able to think about is how much I'm going to lose financially, physically and intellectually... I've been exhausted at work which has affected my performance. I haven't been able to work out, I can't go snowboarding this winter, daycare costs $2000 a month here and I don't get fully paid maternity leave, I've got no one aside from my husband within a five hour driving time radius to help with a child... I'm overwhelmed, maybe we didn't think this through?
  • @KaraMG35 it's totally normal to feel all of those apprehensions! I had to quit work altogether after our first due to finances and we also were several hours from help. It's overwhelming and scary, but you will bond so tightly with your babe and your DH during that time. It really makes you count on each other and gives you a chance to establish your little family without visitors popping in all the time. Know that you've got this, you'll overcome the hurdles, and the stress will pale in comparison to the feeling you have once baby is in your arms.
  • @KaraMG35  We are in the same boat, a bit.  We also don't have any support within a five hour driving radius.  That makes me so nervous, but I just know that's the way it will be and we have tried to have conversations about what to expect and how we will handle different situations (one of us working late, sick baby, etc.)  I also repeatedly think of other people who have kids and think to myself "If ________ can do this, I can do this".
