How far along are you? 8 weeks

How big is baby? as big as a raspberry

Upcoming appointments this week or appointments made? Nothing soon. I had an ultrasound on Monday this week, and it went very well.

Any new symptoms or changes? Nothing new. The nausea is continuing to make my days difficult.

Rants/Raves/Questions? If you are like me, whether you've had a loss or not, you may be paranoid about something going wrong. How are you managing that during the time when we can't feel our babies moving?

GTKY: What is a funny memory from childhood or your teenage years? I was very gullible as a child. A neighbor convinced me that every Tuesday and Thursday her rubber duck came to life. I believed it to my core. I even went to her house and she pretended to hold it and talk to it. I never lied at that age, so it didn't occur to me that another person would, until my parents laughed so hard when I told them about the duck. They really had to convince me she was lying, because I firmly believed this bath toy came to life.

Feeling sick 24/7 and completely off of anything sweet- exactly the same as my first pregnancy!

Looking after a baby while feeling sick is harder than I ever imagined, hoping the sickness
disappears soon..

GTKY: What is a funny memory from childhood or your teenage years?
Hmm I remember disliking babies from a young age and always said I never wanted children, and here I am pregnant with my second child. Obviously I think very differently now and babies are a massive blessing ❤️

Next week, 10/13 for a viability ultrasound (that sounds so harsh). I get a viability u/s because of my mmc history

Any new symptoms or changes?

Light cramping I guess you could call it. It's like my period is coming type feeling but a smidge less intense. I'm chalking it up to the fact that LO is growing and so is my uterus

It's Friday! Woooo, It felt like this day was never coming. It's thanksgiving weekend here in Canada, so it's all a long weeekend! Hurray!

I literally can not think of one. Boring, I know.

I had one yesterday for an official ultrasound and baby measured big by one day but I'm going to stick around here. Next one isnt until 10/31

Fatigue has gotten stronger. I'm having to go to bed earlier these days since I'm such a slug by 9, 10pm.

I feel so much more relaxed now after yesterday's appointment. Seeing all the loss posts was frightening and my heart goes out to them.

GTKY: What is a funny memory from childhood or your teenage years?
I had quite the imagination. If you know the movie, Neverending Story, then you may remember Falkor the flying creature. I saw Falkor is the beautiful creature that you call for if you want to get away so I would literally go outside and call for him. I was a stubborn child that never felt understood. I'm not sure how old I was but my parents still joke about it to this day. They even said that baby looked like Falkor and that it could be its nickname. Ha...ha...ha... pft =P

Any new symptoms or changes? Feeling a little better. Queasiness off and on

Rants/Raves/Questions? Our FET was done as part of a research study, so I have to get my meds through the research office. It's a bit of a pain dealing with them. I'm used to my RE office being much more responsive.

Upcoming appointments this week or appointments made? I have two this week. With my RE on Monday, then with my regular OB on Thursday.

Any new symptoms or changes? my nausea is getting worse, but my insomnia seems to be getting better.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm scared to death for my appointment on Monday. Obviously I just really want everything to go well. But I'm so scared. @mollyandd My way of coping is basically just wishing the time away. I might go to the library today and pick up a book.

GTKY: What is a funny memory from childhood or your teenage years? this is the only thing that comes to mind and it's not that funny. But when I was a baby my oldest brother was about 13-14 and everyone called him BJ. But he decided he wanted to be called Bill instead. And he was so serious about it because he was a typical dramatic teenager. So of course the first word I ever said was BJ, I screamed it down the hall when I was looking for him lol.

@pshaortao you make it until 9 or 10pm?!?! Haha, I'm in bed by 8:30 and haven't been awake past 9:15 in the last two weeks or so

And I hear you on those recent loss posts. It's been a rough week around here...
@MollyandD I don't know how to make the paranoia and anxiety any easier. It's so much easier said than done, but I just keep trying to remember that everything has been OK so far and to stay as positive as possible. My H helps a lot with keeping me positive too.

Upcoming appointments this week or appointments made? I'm very lucky that my RE's office has me in every Monday for ultrasounds. It has done wonders for easing my anxiety. I won't have my first appt with a regular OB until after the RE graduates me.

Any new symptoms or changes? Just generally feel like crap. I did manage to eat some vegetables several times this week, so pretty proud of myself for that. This baby is going to be made of cheese, carbs, and sodium if I keep up eating like I have been...

Rants/Raves/Questions? How do you go about choosing who you want to be your OB? I'm fairly new to this area and I know what hospital I want to deliver at, but there are so. many. OBs. I just randomly chose a Dr. for my annual GYN appts, but I don't really think I want him for this and want to put more thought/research into an OB. Any advice on where to start?

GTKY: What is a funny memory from childhood or your teenage years? I can't really remember too many specifics, but one thing that sticks out is just how my best friend and I used to spend so much time together when we were little. We would just hang out constantly until we'd start to get on each other's nerves, then we'd get into a "fight" for several days and take a break. Then we'd realize we missed each other and do it all over again. Our parents just knew that we would cycle like that all the time and just didn't question it after a while.

@redbreast35 I don't have much advice on how to pick a good OB. You could maybe ask your RE for recommendations? I didn't ask mine because we have to drive over an hour to a different town to see our RE and I didn't want to deliver there.

What I did was look it up on my insurance website. I did a search for doctors that are in network that delivered at the hospital I was hoping to use. From there I just kinda googled the names that came up, but being in a more rural location there was only like 4 to choose from. So that made it a little easier for me.

**How far: 10 weeks **Babies are the size of strawberries **upcoming Apts: nope. I don't go back until 11/2 **new symptoms: waves of nausea still, and acne like Whoa! I never had this much acne with my first two. **Rants/Raves: not really. Bleeding stopped, so that's good. Nothing new really..

2. The size of jacks!
3. First appointment is on 10/25
4. I have a terrible head cold and the exhaustion is killing me. Other than that I'm ok. Nowhere near as sick as my first. I'm just anxious to get that first appointment.
5. I can't really think of a funny memory. I was homeschooled and worked at Chick-fil-A & Build-A-Bear throughout my teen years. I had a customer throw coleslaw at me one time because he said it was too dry.

Ultrasound was Wednesday baby was healthy and HB 157!

How do you care for your sweet toddler with this crazy fatigue and food aversion?

Lots of stories from childhood and knowing husband since we were 10. He used to tease (flirt) all the time and I had no clue what was going on!
