I just got back from my OB appointment and we were discussing maternity leave options. I was informed that as of September 1 (she believes that was the date) the laws have changed around how much time you can take and that you don't necessarily get paid for the entire time but you can take longer than your 52 weeks. I'm trying to find this info online but can't find it anywhere. DH said he heard about it too. Just curious on if anyone knows anything about this?
Re: Canadian moms: maternity/ parental leave
But like youve mentioned after speaking with Service Canada is that it hasnt been passed yet so everything is still status quo.
Can someone send someone in charge of Canada to the US and tell us to get our act together? I'm beyond sick over having to go back to work at 12 weeks....again. :'( :'( :'(
