***General TW that this thread can and will mention MC and loss.***
This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have hit a roadblock and are delaying for whatever reason. You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on not TTC and connect with others who are in the same boat. TTC can be a long journey, and having to wait makes it feel even longer- even if it is for a good reason. Feel free to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say, and treat this like an ongoing conversation.
Benched = involuntarily not NTNP/TTC and are "out of the game," usually due to medical reasons
TTA = avoiding pregnancy by using protection or FAM, usually for non-health-related reasons __________________________________________________________________

Re: Benched/TTA Weekly Check-In (10/3)
Benched.
What brings you here?
D&C June 18th. No AF since.
How long do you think you'll be here?
Taking estrogen for a few more weeks then round 2 of Provera. Hoping for AF after that. I will be here a month minimum. Possibly longer.
How have things been going?
Things have been pretty rough since my failed Provera round. Maybe it's all the extra estrogen. I've honestly been a wreck.
Any R/R/CS?
My best friend had her baby shower this last weekend. I went and it was so difficult. She sent me a really sweet message after about how she knew it must have been hard for me to be there and she appreciated it. That was nice. It was also my birthday so that helped lift my spirits too!
GTKY: Fill in the blank: "If you really knew me, you'd know _______."
I love making quilts but I am overly critical of them. I can't make one for myself because it would never be good enough. When I give them to others they love them and aren't as critical.
What brings you here? MC last week
How long do you think you'll be here? December
How have things been going? Fine
Any R/R/CS? Work sucks. I really need to figure out a way to have this stop being an all encompassing aspect of my life
GTKY: Fill in the blank: "If you really knew me, you'd know _______." That my bitchy resting face is 100% unintentional. That my perfectionism can be debilitating. That I do my best to challenge the people in my life because that is what I expect most from the people I care about - to help me be a better person by challenging me.
What brings you here? Just to learn more, prepare and learn about others experiences.
How long do you think you'll be here? About 3 months.
How have things been going? So so. Just trying to stay pre-occupied.
Any R/R/CS?N/A
GTKY: Fill in the blank: "If you really knew me, you'd know _______."
I am incredibly sarcastic and not serious about half the stuff I say (with a dead pan look on my face, while saying it).
@doxiemoxie212 - I hear you about work, I wonder how no one has caught me crying at my desk before. I like to listen to talk radio or music to try and distract me. And my resting bitch face is completely intentional.
Are you benched or TTA?
TTA
What brings you here?
MC in May
How long do you think you'll be here?
Until my H is ready to try again.
How have things been going?
Alight. I was busy this weekend making casseroles. I brought some to my MIL and my grand-MIL and still have enough in my freezer I won't have to cook dinner for the next month. So I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself.
Any R/R/CS?
GTKY: Fill in the blank: "If you really knew me, you'd know _______."
I love baking and making candies and sweets.

How long do you think you'll be here? I was looking at my calendar and I'll be traveling when I expected to ovulate in November (3 months is what doc suggested) so it looks like early December.
How have things been going? I disappeared for a few weeks, sorry! Things have been good. Emotionally feel so much better than 2 months ago. Exercising more, socializing more. Feeling great.
Any R/R/CS? I ordered a robovac from Amazon and life is glorious.

What brings you here? Work travel is getting the way of things again, and it bums me out too much to post in the daily threads
How long do you think you'll be here? I'm hoping just this cycle.
How have things been going? I've had pretty short cycles and really short LPs. I started adding in B6 about 70 days ago, and that seems to be helping. I'm ovulating closer to CD 14/15 instead of 17, and my cycle is 1-2 days longer, so that's helping! I made it to 10DPO last cycle, which compared to 5 or 6, is really positive.
Any R/R/CS? Nah. I'm not charting anything this month, and giving myself a mental break.
GTKY: Fill in the blank: "If you really knew me, you'd know _______." that today is not the day for me to be stuck seniorsitting my Nana, not at my own house, with my husband on the opposite side of the country. It's national taco day AND taco Tuesday. I feel so alone. LOL

@Krys - You're absolutely right to post here. The check-ins aren't just for those who are benched for a medical condition or a loss; it's here for anyone who has had an interruption in their TTC journey, whether that be travel, loss, or schooling, etc. I'm glad your LP has lengthened!

Any R/R/CS? My mother is one of those people who instantly thinks everything = pregnancy. I told her I wasn't feeling well on Monday, and she thought I felt hot, so of course her first question was whether or not I was pregnant.
Like, no, mum. I just bled for 3 days. Do you really think I'm pregnant?
