Hi All! I was right on the cusp of June/July and August/Sept groups on the IF board (transfer in July, beta in August)... but I'm creating this board anyway! So excited for friends from IF board to start joining! Please feel free to post anything here! Would like to keep in touch with y'all throughout our amazing pregnancies!!
A little bit about myself if anyone needs a refresher: Started actively trying in July 2015 after NTNP for a year. Went to first RE visit in Oct 2015 after a coworker told us about their struggles (and successes! 2 little girls) and recommended RMA of Texas. Diagnosed with lean PCOS. Decided to do 3 IUIs and then re-evaluate if they didn't work.... welp, they didn't work... so on to IVF in April 2016. Have 11 frozen embabies (7 of which are PGS tested). Did one fresh transfer with a BFN, followed by a FET of a PGS tested embie, and it stuck! I am currently 9 weeks, 5 days! Have just graduated from RE and have my first OB appt next Wed!
So excited to be pregnant. Doesn't feel real! Look forward to supporting each other through this AMAZING process!

I started BC pills in July as part of this process but all my stims, retrieval, and transfer were in August (this was a fresh transfer). I think my EDD is 5/9/17. It absolutely does not feel real.
I go in for my first ultrasound at 7 weeks, on 9/20, and I think after that I'm graduated. I'm kind of meh on going back to my regular dr office because they weren't especially helpful with my IF questions, but hopefully with a pregnancy they'll be good.
Yay! I'm glad you made this, and happy all of you are on here. You might've read my story elsewhere, but as a recap I have PCOS and hubs has a mild male factor. We tried for two years doing a various combo of pills to get me to ovulate. Once we started working with a RE, things moved pretty quickly. We did our first IUI after I had a late follicle develop on Femara, so we cancelled part of our vacay, did our first IUI, and now I'm here! I'll be 7 wks tomorrow, and my EDD is May 1. I can hardly believe it (except for the ridiculous m/s I had two days ago)!

I wasn't so active on the Aug/Sep IF board as this was my third FET. Somehow the heartache of the 2 BFNs really got to me and I stayed away from the boards for a bit. Somehow not constantly checking on messages kind of helped me get over the tough times...
My EDD is also 5/1/2017 and I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow.

Ultrasound went well and we saw two heart beats! Both are also measuring well on track, although one is slightly ahead of the other, measuring 2 days bigger.
I had a few tears in my eyes and so did the nurse. She's been with us since the beginning. Hubby didn't know what to say and just stared at the screen.
@clt2pwm11 how did it go for you? Thinking of you!

@flanners1 ah Twins!!! Fraternal or identical? Congrats on the great u/s! It's amazing isn't it?! Hubs and I both cried whenever we heard the heartbeat!
AFM - we had our first ob appointment today! I love our doctor - she is very chill and talked to us for a long time in her office before we did pap and u/s. Baby was ADORABLE!!! Could see arms and legs and he/she gave us a little dance... after I laughed he/she did another dance! Absolutely amazing... I'm at the point where I'm like THAT'S IN ME?!?! Doesn't feel real yet despite the constant nausea and fatigue . Already very in love with this little bug. Hubs and I told my boss today which was really fun! We work in the same office, so it's fun to deliver the news together! She was very supportive and extremely happy (she's aware of our struggles)! Can't wait to tell everyone else in a few weeks!!
Hope everyone else is having a great week!!

@ADRIANAC1982 Oh no! I'm sorry you're feeling sick. My friend said she had ginger candies that saved her life. Maybe try some? You can also go to your doc and get meds for nausea if it gets too out of control. Hope you feel better soon!
Oh, forgot to mention... something slightly annoying happened this weekend. We were at a bar watching the UT vs. Cal game (:() and our friend came up behind me and shook my chair so hard that my insides shook. I immediately yelled at him and told him he can't do that to a pregnant woman. WTF?! I was pissed and worried after that, so we just went home. Feel like on top of not drinking, now I can't even GO to a bar to watch the games bc drunk ppl are too stupid and unpredictable. Ugh.

Hi Everyone. I decided to move over to this board. I did IVF with a fresh transfer on 9/6 I got my positive beta of 110 on 9/16 and second beta of 762 on 9/20. I have my first ultrasound on 10/7. I have been facing nausea and crazy tiredness the last few days. I am nervously waiting for my ultrasound on the 7th, I think I will be able to breath a bit after.
When did everyone tell people they were expecting? Most of our family and close friends knew what we were going through and we have only told the ones who have asked, and are waiting to tell everyone else until at least after the ultrasound.

@kelrauh congrats!! I had my FET on 9/6 as well and just had my US this morning. Go back in a week hoping to hear the heartbeat.
As far as telling people, our family and friends think we are taking a break, it was too much pressure and questions and told them we were gonna start again in October or November. We were pregnant once before but it wasn't viable so we had a DNC April of 2015 and had to tell everyone we told that it didn't work out. That's why they say to wait till 12 weeks but you do whatever you feel you both want to. We would love to shout out on a roof top but we are too scared to have to go through all that again. Best of luck!!

We did an unsuccessful FET on 7/13, then magically got pregnant the old-fashioned way sometime in August. Just took a pregnancy test on Monday, had an HCG check Tuesday (119,644), and an US Wednesday to confirm this is not all a figment of my imagination. I am officially 7 weeks 6 days today (but that may adjust a bit when I have my next US 10/3, since we don't have good data to base anything on other than embryo size). I had 2 days of very light spotting after my negative beta in July, but never had a period at all. Thought I was nuts and just wishful thinking, but apparently I know my body after all. My RE told me to buy a lottery ticket
We are not telling most people yet. After the failed FET, we had to un-tell a bunch of people and that sucks. My current philosophy is that if I wouldn't tell someone I had a miscarriage, I am not telling them I am pregnant yet. If it is someone I would share miscarriage news with, I am OK with telling them. We've only told a few friends and my sisters right now. Will tell my mom and SIL/brother in a couple weeks (after my next US and first regular OB appointment), since I want to do that in person instead of over the phone.
Me: Age 40 Husband: Age 41 Chemo killed my ovaries (along with a BRCA1 mutation, which causes DOR) 4/30/13 ER just prior to chemo: 8 embryos frozen at 2pn. 2 survived to blasts/1 PGS normal
4/16 ER cancelled on CD7: 1 follicle on L/ 0 follicles on R FET #1 7/13/16 BFN
Super shocker +HPT 9/19 Baby Alyce arrived 5/8/17
Went forward with donor eggs from my sister for baby #2 ER 4/24, 5 eggs fertilized/1 survived to blast and was chromosomally normal.
FET 2/15 (my sister/donor's birthday!). Beta 10dp5dt:172; beta 12dp5dt: 425
We have started telling people and we're 8wks 5 days. I waited until after the 8wk u/s unless people knew we were doing IVF. We won't do a fb announcement because of how they made us feel, we don't know if there's someone in our friends list who is going through a similar ordeal and don't want to upset them, besides I'm not big on fb anyhow. So I guess people will find out when they start seeing my growing belly unless I decide to tell them. I heard there's a less than 1% chance of miscarriage after you've seen/heard the HB so once we did I got on the phone and told the grandparents etc. everyone is different in how they approach this though.
@PNW12RN I read your crazy story the other day while lurking over at IF. You must be over the moon! I'm sure you've given hope to so many people on that board! What a great story to tell your child later on!

Hi, ladies! I was not aware of this group until just recently! So nice to see some familiar faces and to keep up with all you lovely ladies.
I will be 9 weeks tomorrow. We just had our second u/s yesterday, and everything looked great. I'm starting to get a little more comfortable with this pregnancy, which is a nice feeling. We have told immediate family and a couple of close friends, but I'm too scared to tell many more until we get through 1st tri safely.
Are you ladies doing any of the blond-draw-type genetic tests that they offer these days? I am leaning toward yes, but DH isn't completely on board. He doesn't really understand the point and thinks it will just make us worry/stress more. thoughts?

@BlueEyedDreamer - DH and I agreed when we started this process that we didnt want to do any genetic testing. It is our personal choice. @BlueEyedDreamer we did PGS testing, so that rules out trisomy disorders. We did a cystic fibrosis test, but I think that was to see if I was a carrier. Other than that, I don't think we've done anything special. I would only do a cell free DNA test though (non-invasive, blood test)... I don't like the thought of them poking a needle through the placenta to get amniotic fluid. YIKES! Not sure if I'll need to, but I would do cell free DNA test to be prepared and learn about the disorder if the test results showed one (knock on wood). I like to have as much information as possible.

Yay, congrats @MelD17011!! I was going to wait until after ultrasound to join this board too, but my RE is making me wait until 7 weeks (2 more weeks) and I needed this place for support while I waited! Haha. Welcome, I'm sure you'll be feeling comfortable posting over here before you know it!

Congratulations on your success!
I am due on 5-9, and awaiting our ultrasound on the 26th

I wasn't so active on the Aug/Sep IF board as this was my third FET. Somehow the heartache of the 2 BFNs really got to me and I stayed away from the boards for a bit. Somehow not constantly checking on messages kind of helped me get over the tough times...
My EDD is also 5/1/2017 and I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! Like @babylonghorn16 I was on the cusp of July and August and was the first BFP of the group! Nice to see many of you over here!!
My history is in my signature, but I'm due with my second boy around 4/13 (haven't been given an official due date). I've been to weekly u/s since betas and have my last RE apt this week!
I guess I'm sort of veteran since I've been here before and happy to answer any questions!

@clt2pwm11 good luck tomorrow!

Ugh.

Married my best friend in 2013 (I was 33), After 1.5yrs of TTC got my first BFP naturally on 2/7/15 but ended in DNC on 4/14/15, not viable. In 2015 I was 35...Found out I had only one working ovary, which was DOR, with scar tissue and I ovulated at 7 days, with a small cervix opening and a tilted uterus...
Chemo killed my ovaries (along with a BRCA1 mutation, which causes DOR)
4/30/13 ER just prior to chemo: 8 embryos frozen at 2pn. 2 survived to blasts/1 PGS normal
4/16 ER cancelled on CD7: 1 follicle on L/ 0 follicles on R
FET #1 7/13/16 BFN
Super shocker +HPT 9/19
Baby Alyce arrived 5/8/17
Went forward with donor eggs from my sister for baby #2
ER 4/24, 5 eggs fertilized/1 survived to blast and was chromosomally normal.
FET 2/15 (my sister/donor's birthday!). Beta 10dp5dt:172; beta 12dp5dt: 425
