I did mid-semester evaluations in one of my classes based on the start-keep-stop method. On the "Stop" question (What should I stop doing?), two students said "your face." For the thousandth time, I am not throwing shade! I am listening and contemplating!!!!

@adirat I figured since she was newer, she didn't realize it wasn't the proper place. Also, I was afraid if I said what I was really thinking it would've most likely been removed for TOU violation.

@lulu1180 Yeah I get it. I've done the same when worrying about getting the ban hammer. But... Wtf why would you do this if you are that new that you don't know what's up here???? It's the most self-centered excuse!

@adirat I agree! I read both of the newbie guides and lurked for at least a month before I started posting. And even then, I was hesitant about anything and everything I posted. I still am sometimes! I don't get how people can just barge into an established community like a bull in a china shop. Ugh!

@adirat @lulu1180 I'm only slightly less new than her and I figured out not to do something like that on my 1st day of lurking before ever posting anything. And I'm not, like, a genius. I'm not saying she did it to be antagonizing but it was super careless. I agree @lulu1180 you were very nice.

@lboalboh That sucks! I used to be an adjunct and the only thing consistent with evals in my experience was the grading (the higher grades I gave, the better the evals). Sometimes when you tell people something is anonymous they get the idea automatically that it's time to be an asshole. Unless they get an A. Then you are suddenly the most perfect, fair, and favorite teacher ever.

Edit this highlighting everything thing is driving me nuts. I'm not a good tagger.

WTF goes to my dog. He's a 9 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback. He's always had a bit of fear incontinence - meaning that fireworks, gunshots, thunder, etc. will sometimes cause him to pee out of fear. Unfortunately he always pees on a bed or couch. Lately he's been consuming more water and having more accidents that seem to be unrelated to fear. All of our beds have waterproof mattress covers on them, and our couch is old and soon to be replaced.... but it still sucks. This morning I took him out an extra time before going to work, and came home early for lunch to try to help him out, but he'd still peed on the couch. I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow to rule out a UTI or any other number of issues that are often related to increased water consumption and urination.

I adore him, and hope that there isn't a big underlying issue, but I'm so sick of pee everywhere.

WTF to the guy who posted pics on FB this morning of his newborn daughter. First, your wife just had a baby! Freaking enjoy it, man, no need to update the world. Is nothing sacred?!

@tentoeturbo I understand wanting to share pictures of your baby with all of your friends and loved ones via FB but at least make sure the baby is cleaned up and presentable in the pics you decide to share!

My WTF goes along with @tentoeturbo. I had a friend (not super close, but we were many moons ago) just had a baby yesterday, and in the delivery announcement, posted by the husband (@tentoeturbo), it very clearly stated how unmedicated she was during her extremely long birth.

I dont really care about the photos, Ive gotten better at seeing them and moving on (there are soooo many), but specifically telling the world about the amount, or lack there of, meds seems super braggy! I do not care! UGH. Just another thing to add to my crappy TTC day/week.

@LuND My dog has had a similar problem for just about her whole life and we put her on Proin. It fixed the incontinence almost immediately.

My WTF is that my dog walker didn't put the dog's leash away today. I was not surprised to catch this on the webcam.

@wabash15 @lulu1180 if you have Google Chrome you can hit control+shift+n and it opens an "incognito" tab, which doesn't store your search history. I don't think it will help at all for work bumping, but it is a good way all of my SS searches don't pop up if someone else uses my phone.

WTF to the health care system in the states - someone posted their child birth medical bill on reddit and they got charged $40.00 for holding their own kid? Their bill was over $13,000.00! Is that normal? I'm a Canadian so I have no idea!

@LuND I have a similar experience to @laurad75. Our dog has also been on and off of Proin for incontinence issues. It's done wonders. I haven't woken up in a puddle of pee since we started her on it...and yes, I did previously wake up in a puddle!

My new WTF is this cold. I am rarely sick and I hate it. I just fell so floppy and gross.

Edit: spelling issues and picked a new WTF.

@Dilynne I'm east coast US. When I had my son 5.5 years ago, my total bill was over $12,000 for a vaginal delivery, no nursery (our hospital doesn't have a nursery, only a NICU so baby stays with you in your room. Loved it, but its not like they were paying nurses you care for them you know?) was in 3 days total (last day we were supposed to be released at 10 am and they didnt finish my paperwork until 530pm.... i wasnt happy) and they charged close to 13k

I had decent insurance at the time so I paid about 2-3k total (1500 to hospital, and the rest to anesthesiologist for an epidural that didnt last lol) but that didn't include any of the visits throughout the 9 months which were 40 a pop

US healthcare is seriously lacking.....
