My every other week appointments start this week, and that is tomorrow afternoon. We'll see how much weight I've gained in the last 2 weeks since my last appointment on 9/20 and I had gained 8;lbs. since my last monthly (8/23) - which my OB chatted with me about.
I'll also need to talk about my swollen feet, as they have gotten worse, and now have moved to my hands. We discussed this the last time, too... as I am sure some of the extra weight is water retention, but still.
Not really an appointment but we have our 2nd to last Birthing class tomorrow night, and then a breastfeeding class on Thursday.

@Kacie209 sounds like water retention to me, it happened to me in my 3rd tri during both previous pregnancies, and this one as well. My hands and feet are swelling and I won't be surprised when I've gained about 5lbs from my visit 2 weeks ago. My appointment is tomorrow, only the scale will tell...
First of two prenatal meetings with my doula on Wednesday. Excited because I'm feeling more and more confident not just in my ability to birth, but in my ability to advocate for the birth I want while remaining aware of when/why certain interventions really become a necessity.
I have my first biweekly appointment tomorrow. Should be pretty standard. I also have my breastfeeding class tomorrow night. I'm not looking forward to it but I'm kind of blah about everything right now.
@yellingbanana I definitely think it is, as I haven't done anything different diet/exercise wise so I wouldn't think that would be the case. A friend stopped over yesterday to drop off a shower gift since she isn't able to make the one I have this weekend. She just had her 4th kid in April, and said that her swelling usually started around now with all of them, and was bad until the end. Then after birth, went away almost immediately and she dropped almost 20lbs right away, too. I am hoping for the same.

Crashing this party since I forgot to update last week! I had my 30 week appointment on Friday with my OB. She wasn't happy that I have lost weight but I also explained that I'm trying to cut back on the amount of absolute crap I've been feeding myself. Measured on track and baby boy's HB sounded great. I go back on 10/11 for a growth scan, 32 week appointment (even though I will only be 31w3d) and we will hopefully schedule our RCS then!
Ollie is measuring right at 3 pounds, so for 31 weeks that's normal but on the smaller side. This doc does not think I will make it to my scheduled 11/28 (39th week) C-Section. Right now the plan is to get us to 32...33...34...35...and hopefully keep going from there. After 35 she thinks it's anyone's guess. *does a nervous dance* He's just running out of room, my poor little Left Uterus Baby (LUB for short. I'm making that a thing now). My cervix shortened a teensy bit from my last visit 3 weeks ago but she said that part is actually typical for the third trimester...?... and it's still in the normal/good ranges so that's not a worry at this point. He also has good fluid left (~11 cm...Does that number mean anything to anyone?) but maybe not enough for the full 39/40 weeks time I guess.
ALSO. He has hair! We saw actual fuzzy spiked hair on his little scalp! I believe he has his daddy's cowlick. *SWOON*
So yeah. That's that. Turns out, I'm a November mama who will continue to show the love in the December board.
I'm 28 weeks and have my glucose test tomorrow morning. I'm so nervous - I failed the 1 hour with DD1. It wasn't that bad but the 3 hour was miserable so I'm hoping it doesn't come to that. I also plan on asking how many Braxton Hicks are too many...these things are pretty persistent this time.

Had my 1st appt with my new midwife today. Love her! Also, last time I saw my doctor (19 weeks) I was still very sick and continuing to lose weight. Not anymore! I haven't been sick since week 22 and have not only gained the weight back... I'm up 2 lb from my prepregnancy weight! Baby has also done some growing. She's measuring about a week and a half ahead! I feel very comfortable with my midwife and am so glad I made the switch. It's biweekly from here! Rhogam injection and GTT will be in 2 weeks.
Had my 31 week appointment today. BP was a little low at 114/69 and I have finally gained 10 lbs this pregnancy. Measuring a week behind, but my blood sugar numbers were good enough that I only have to test 2x a day instead of 4x. All in all I'll take it.
ultrasound in 2 weeks!

@cayaylonglegs that's awesome that you can go down to testing twice a day, so glad for you!
i had my first 2 week appt today, things were looking good. Measuring at exactly 32 weeks, slightly ahead since I'm at 31+2 now, but nothing to be concerned about. I was disappointed to learn that even w the GD diagnosis doc won't send me for an ultrasound to check baby's size until 38 weeks! I'm concerned by then he'll just be so big it won't matter, I was hoping to know further ahead but hopefully they'll have accurate guesses just from measuring my belly.

Yes! I guess that's the benefit of water retention, you drop a lot after birth. After I had DDs, o dropped 40lbs and 30lbs in the month following birth. Then it takes about a year to lose the 'real' weight gained, which was 30lbs both times. Yup. That means my first pregnancy I gained 70lbs, and second I gained 60lbs. I was hoping for less this time, but have already gained 30, haha... ha.
Had my first biweekly appointment yesterday. My numbers for the GD test come back great. However, the blood test showed low iron, so iron supplements for me here on out! I'm looking forward to my next appointment at 30 weeks which includes an u/s to check on growth!

I saw the nurse practitioner yesterday since my OB was out (it's Fall break around here). She scheduled me for another growth ultrasound in 2 weeks since I'm still measuring ahead by full 2 weeks but I didn't grow by more since my blood sugar issues are now under control (fingers crossed it stays that way the rest of this pregnancy)! She told me that what's already been done can't be undone- meaning- no matter how much I control my blood sugar he/she will always measure 2 weeks ahead- the goal is to not measure anymore than 2 weeks ahead and Monday's appointment confirmed that. I only gained 1 pound since last appointment 2 weeks ago, so I'm hoping that means that the baby won't be ginormous!
My BP was super low for me- like a normal person's BP- I was shocked since I tend to have either pre-e or gestational hypertension and was put on bed rest last time.
All in all- a good appointment. I'm looking forward to my 2 week ultrasound appointment!
I had a routine appointment this morning - the first of my every other week ones. My BP was good and I gained 0 weight since the last time - which surprised me. I got my tDap and a prescription for an ultrasound. The OB changed their mind from having me go at 32 weeks to going at 36 weeks, so I only need one in third tri.
He gave the doppler a good kick when we were listening to his heartbeat
Got a call from my doctor and I passed my 1hr glucose test (hurrah!) but my thyroid is elevated (boo). I'm nervous about medication for that, the last time they put me on something it made me very nervous and neurotic. I told the nurse what it was though so hopefully they'll call me in something different.
I mentioned to y'all a while back that I begged and begged them to check it over the summer and they kept telling me nothing was wrong and it didn't need checked. I made sure the nurse knew that when I called. Sometimes you have to push when you're concerned about things.
Busy week for appointments - I have to get a blood draw to prep for my endocrinologist appointment next week, chiropractor this afternoon, and I have a sonogram tomorrow - recommended at 32 weeks for patients over 35. The order for the sonogram tech reads"supervision of elderly primigravida." So now I'm elderly, apparently? I'm excited to see him though, it's been 10 weeks! We also have our first visit with our doula on Saturday, which should be good.
@swhiddon33 11cm is an adequate amount. That's about where I sat with DD2. Anything above 5cm is good. With DD1 we danced between 5.2cm and 6.4 for weeks. I myself have a fluid check scheduled for next week since I'm measuring small. Wishing you the best and hope you can make it as close to 39 weeks as possible.

Just got home from my 1st bi-weekly appointment. No big concerns, and baby HB was 135. We discussed my swelling as it hadn't improved and my OB just said that it will just be something that stays with me. I also gained 4lbs. since my last appt., which was 2 weeks ago. BUT, he swelling has moved to my hands and my feet have gotten worse so I am guessing that was the cause... I have worked out and have been eating better. My BP was 108/68 which they said was fine. So, whatever. I also got my flu shot.
Next appointment, I'll get the TDAP shot. I could have gotten that one too but I would rather have one at a time, as I hate shots.

I had an ultrasound (growth check because of my age) and she looks great. Approximately 3lbs 12 oz which they said was the 58th percentile. It was fun to see her face in 4d! My BP was a bit high again (140/90) so I'm doing another 24 hour urine test and going back in a week so they can check my BP and urine for protein.

I got my flu shot and tdap today. In the same arm. The shots themselves didn't hurt but now my arm feels like it's about to fall off.
FYI-I only got the tdap a few weeks ago and my arm was sore for 2 full days! I also had some of the flu-like symptoms (normal adverse reactions). Felt just fine within a day!

@kbduke My OB offered to have my flu shot and TDAP done yesterday, but I opted to keep them separate. My arm still hurts from the flu shot, so I can't imagine what it would feel like getting both. I had to sleep on an incline on my back last night since I couldn't sleep on my right side, as usual. And LO doesn't like when I sleep on my right - he kicks a lot.

Yay @dmontgo! I'm sure that wasn't pleasant, and I'm glad you've got good news after all that.
I had a regular midwife check up this morning. Baby seems good. She thinks she's head down and in the position that I'm guessing - feet out to my left, back to my right. Heartbeat is good, and she's moving a ton. I had my Rhogam shot, so that's out of the way. AND we booked all of the rest of my appointments through the due date. Yikes! That makes it real. This thing is coming out...again.
She did say that 2nd babies are known as "butter babies" because they tend to have shorter labors and come out easier. Dear Lord, I hope that's true!!!
Just had my 32 week ultrasound. He's measuring a few days ahead of schedule, so I might actually be due at the end of November. That was my original due date, based on when my last period was, but my cycles are usually about 32 days long (not 28) and he was measuring consistently for a December 1 due date at my first three ultrasounds, so they changed it. They said he's about 4 pounds now and on track to be about 7 or 7.5 by the time he's due. And I got to see his sweet little face!
My OB appt was pretty uneventful & I'm ok with that. HR is good. Not seen again for another 2 weeks.
I did ask the doctor since this is an IVF pregnancy, does that change the protocol for a late induction being as though we know exactly when he was conceived. He said the hospital has certain policies on when they will induce a patient bc they don't want to induce prematurely & risk a c-section, but maybe we can work something out lol He delivered my DD 8 years ago & it would be awesome to have him again. But.. What's meant to be will be!

Had my 30-week appointment today- biweekly starts now! I haven't gained any weight from my last appointment (which is good since I'm 246). She did say that I'll probably start gaining 1 lb a week from here on out which is totally fine and I've done a great job so far. So that was nice to hear!
We did talk abut me going 2 hours away for Thanksgiving which is exactly 3 weeks before my due date. With my first coming 10 days early, she said she wasn't comfortable with that if my cervix was soft at all or if I was dialted at all. I'll have an appt earlier that week so I guess we'll just play it by ear..kind of a bummer.
I had my 30/31 week appt this AM. BP was a bit high - I was 20 minutes late for the appt so that doesn't help. I mentioned decreased fetal movement from A and boy did they take that seriously. An hours worth of NST that was inconclusive because they kept picking up duplicate heartbeats and then I had to have a biophysical profile done. 30 minutes on each baby. Turns out A is now breech, which changes movements I can feel, and babies look perfect.
I also had my Rhogam and TDaP today. Because BP was he highest it's been all pregnancy I also had blood drawn for an additional pre-e and HELLP panel - just got the call that both were normal. They also did a clean catch urine so they could send it to our the lab to check for proteins (rather than the simple dipstick in office) and creatinine and both were normal. I posted elsewhere that I feel like dog shit... thinking it's the TDAP. Happy I have pasta fagioli already cooking for dinner tonight because I'm waiving the white flag for today. I'm about to get a long hot shower and then maybe eat some ice cream while nobody is here to judge me.
Finally have a moment to write this out. Had my 32 week app. this morning. Doc made sure I knew I did the right thing going in Sunday, and that I really shouldn't have been discharged without several tests done.
E is now firmly head down, and engaged in my pelvis, which is why anything that bends my hips is very uncomfortable. Also, i have been cleared to VBaC as of right now, and she is still measuring 2-3 weeks ahead, which is good news.
Doc will be the oncall doc all weekend so if E decides to try and stage a breakout he will there to make the best informed calls.

I'll have an appt earlier that week so I guess we'll just play it by ear..kind of a bummer.
