I just dont get it. I am watching TLC and they have six kids and they all start with a D. I think that the Duggers do the same things with a J (not sure).?
I would drive myself crazy and I know I would get them mixed up.?
My ILs did it with DH and his sister. Of course there were only two kids so it didn't matter a whole lot, but I think it's a crazy idea, especially with that many kids. I'd never remember who was who!
Ours was a total accident. DH has a son named Landyn and now we will have a Lillian. I'm not planning on naming the next one with an "L" but I'm worried maybe he/she will feel left out! LOL

I think regardless, I'll get them mixed up...I can still remember my mom trying to yell at one of us and going through all of our names to get to the kid who was actually in trouble! Haha.
I am one of 5 girls (also have 3 brothers) and all of us girls have names that begin AND end with the letter A. Ana, Alexandra, Amanda, Andrea (me), and Alicia. Definitely got called my sister's names a lot but its all i knew growing up so it never really bothered me. Guess thats why i never care if people mis pronounce or call me by completely wrong name ( i get called angela a lot). If I know you're talking to me, I respond.

My parents took it a step further - all of my sisters and I (4 of us) have the same initials. My own parents got us confused growing up. Half of the time they would call us #1 or #2 referring to our birth order. lol
It made it easy to pass down monogrammed items though.
I think parents are destined to call children by the wrong name regardless of whether it starts with the same letter. My grandma (who I lived with since I was 9) always calls me by my aunt's name, and my aunt always calls her daughter my name and none of our names start with the same letter and my cousin and I have very different names.
Having said that, I'm not a fan of the same letter name for all the kids. It gets especially obnoxious for large families like the Duggars.

So true! Me and lil sis have same initials, and the 2 middle ones have same initials, the oldest is in category all her own!

My MIL did this. My husband and his brothers all have names that start with J. There are only 3 of them. I don't think there is anything wrong with it but would personally never do it. Whatever floats your boat.
I'm the oldest of 12 children and all of our names start with M, along with my parents. My maiden name started with an M. So we were are the M&M family. For the most part, I don't remember being called by anyone elses name except for my sister at that was at school and some confusion with credit reporting agencies. Her name is Melinda and my name is Melissa.
Re: Parents who name all their kids with the same first letter?
MIL did this with her boys - Ryan, Raymie and Randy.
I was so afraid DH was going to want to continue with the R theme ~ I would have lost my mind.
