Symptoms? Queasy in the evenings, low appetite most days
Rant/Rave/Questions? Rave! My husband is going to Europe next week for a business trip, and we worked it out so I could go too! Holland and London here I come. I'm glad I'm feeling a bit better, I'm sure morning sickness and jet lag don't mix.
GTKY: Is this the first grandbaby/ies for your parents? How was their reaction? No, it's the 9th on my side and the 5th on my husbands side. However, on my husbands side is all boys- we're hoping to have the first girl. Can't wait to find out in late Nov.
Nausea seems to be getting worse rather than better. I am gagging so much more this week and last week than I was a month ago. Tired, aching. Road trip this past weekend wore me the heck out!
Rant and rave at once: being PGAL but preparing my announcement for week 13 means I'm excited but also terrified to tell people! Family all knows now. Told SILs and brothers this past weekend.
Yes; first grandbaby on both sides and first great grandbaby on one side. They were over the moon earlier this year for our first pregnancy and more cautiously excited now, knowing how nervous I am. But I'm sure they'll be totally thrilled when baby comes.
How big is baby? I think it says lemon?? But then some say lemon at 13 weeks so I'm confused LOL
Appointments this week? Finally none this week!
Symptoms? Still tired and nauseous at times but much better. Lots of ligament stretching and flutters. Eating better, too! I have more energy in general but after every meal I want to fall into a coma for 2 hours.
Rant/Rave/Questions?
GTKY: Is this the first grandbaby/ies for your parents? How was their reaction? For my parents it's the 2nd grandbaby. DD was their first. I was surprised but they were excited. Although I'm still positive my mom isn't thrilled but knew to keep it to herself for a change lol
Still nauseous. Usually last for 16 wks for me historically. Also, still exhausted.
Rant- FIL told people our news before we were ready! My youngest told him and I swore him to secrecy bc I have PGAL anxiety and we weren't ready to share. He disregarded my request. Rude!
No, we have 2 kids already. So, this will be my mom's third, my dad's fifth and my IL's fifth. If we have a boy it will be the first on the IL's side though.
Appointments this week? None this week but we have the NT scan scheduled for 10/10! Pretty excited to see the nugget.
Symptoms? Food aversion - it comes and goes.
Rant/Rave/Questions? Ah sweet sweet maternity pants - oh how I've missed you! Haha. But way more comfortable than my regular work pants. Now I just need to figure out shirts for when I start to show since DS was basically a summer baby and this one will be largely winter.
GTKY: Is this the first grandbaby/ies for your parents? How was their reaction? This is the 3rd grandbaby on my side and 2nd for DH's. They were all super excited. They'll be even more pumped when we finally tell them it's a girl (we've kept that a secret so far!). It'll be the first girl for DH's family and the 2nd for mine.
Symptoms? Nothing. They have all diminished. Which of course freaks me out... but apparently is normal at this point
Rant/Rave/Questions? Has anyone tried a float (sensory deprivation) tank? I did yesterday and it's amazing. I have more energy, no more hip or pelvis pain, no more headaches... at least today
GTKY: Is this the first grandbaby/ies for your parents? How was their reaction? It is their first! They are so excited!
How far along are you? 14 weeks; both of my apps, my doctor, and my books all inform me that I'm now in the 2nd trimester!
How big is baby? Approximately the size of a peach.
Appointments this week?
Nope.
Symptoms? Weeks 12 and 13 were the most symptomatic for me, surprisingly. I've felt better the past few days, but that doesn't worry me because I confirm the heartbeat daily with my Doppler.
Rant/Rave/Questions? Rave: Eek! I'm really excited to have made it to the 2nd tri after 4 losses, none of which have progressed this far.
GTKY: Is this the first grandbaby/ies for your parents? How was their reaction? This will be the third grandbaby for my in-laws and the FIRST grandson. We've yet to tell them, but plan on doing so in 2-3 more weeks if things are going well.
a peach, almost 3.5 inches long!! Grow baby grow!!
Appointments this week?
I have one on Wednesday, although I'm not entirely sure what for....I go every 2 weeks as my weight puts me in the high risk category. Even though every single test (and there has been a ton!) have come back great.
Symptoms?
I feel like the fatigue will never go away, but I haven't had nausea or vomiting in a week!!!
Rant/Rave/Questions?
One of me genetic tests came back positive for me as a carrier for a very rare liver deficiency. I do not have it, just a carrier. So my husband is being tested tomorrow to see if he is a carrier for the same thing or not. If he is also a carrier, then our baby has a chance of having the deficiency. I am trying to not stress about it, it is probably a slim chance my husband is also a carrier for the same rare deficiency.
GTKY: Is this the first grandbaby/ies for your parents? How was their reaction? No, lots of grandchildren in this family, but their reactions were great. My dad was very happy and my mom was hysterical haha.
Appointments this week? We get to hear our baby's heartbeat on Friday.
Symptoms? I've been extremely nauseous today. So tired too.
Rant/Rave/Questions? I originally planned to wait to tell our son until our 16 week ultrasound and now that our doppler appointment is coming up, I'm contemplating telling him. I've had a previous missed miscarriage (at close to 16 weeks) and that's why I'm getting the ultrasound done. What would you ladies do? Go ahead and tell or wait until the ultrasound?
GTKY: Is this the first grandbaby/ies for your parents? How was their reaction? No, not the first. It will be my parents' 8th and my husband's parents 2nd. They were still excited to hear the news. We've had three losses in the last year and a half.
How big is baby? Both babies are about 8cm each - measuring exactly where they need to be.
Appointments this week? I just had my first trimester screening yesterday which involved a blood test and ultrasound. They measured the fluid behind the babies necks. They measure average to what they should. On Thursday, I meet with my OB for an appt as well.
Symptoms? Not too much! There's definite fatigue but I get to bed early so I'm not a bear during the day. My appetite has come back. Every once in a while, I feel little flutters/pressure - prettttty coool!
Rant/Rave/Questions? So far, my DH and I have been agreeing on a lot of things - types of nursery furniture, infant seats vs convertible, strollers, etc.... (we are stubborn and argumentative by nature).... but I am avoiding the baby name conversation like the plague because that's where we're going to throw down!
GTKY: Is this the first grandbaby/ies for your parents? How was their reaction? This is! Their reactions were priceless. I announced to them after my 8 week U/S which was my dad's birthday. He goes "Now that's the present I wanted!" Shows my mom and says "ultrasound!" So I told him to take a closer look... he goes "Ya, I don't know what I'm looking at." I walk over and go "there's one..." and he finishes "there's the other!" It was perfect.
