What's new with your little babe this week? How many weeks are you? 27 weeks, size of a rutabaga. I think he went through a growth spurt recently because his movements feel different now. They're less straight up bumps and kicks and more like random limbs moving here and there. I felt his ankle the other night and it was really weird!

Are you doing anything this week to prepare for your baby's arrival? We're meeting with who I hope will be his pediatrician on Monday evening for a consult. And we're moving this week, finally, to our new house.

Rants / Raves / Symptoms / Questions: Rave: Switched prenatals and no longer am dealing with anemic fatigue, woooo. It feels great to have energy again.

When's your next appointment? Wednesday for 1-hour glucose test number two

I failed the first 1-hour Friday by throwing up everywhere after having a vasovagal reaction to the Tdap booster. Not cool. I'm hoping for a drama-free test this time (also prepared to bring a change of clothing with me and a bag this time, either way because that was one of the most disgusting throw-ups I have ever ever had in my life)

26 weeks! Size of a bowling pin according to Ovia (which seems too big to me)

Are you doing anything this week to prepare for your baby's arrival?

I hope I can finish crocheting his blanket - it's taking forever! His room is all cleaned out and empty and my baby shower is October 22 so I'll start getting things together once I see what else I still need.

I got to take a trip back to the town I lived in the last four years before we moved in June and I had such a fun day. Saw a lot of friends who were excited to see the belly, ate lunch at a local restaurant favorite, got some delicious cookies from a local cookie place and found some more maternity clothes on clearance at Old navy.

GTKY: What's your favorite horror movie/movie to watch around Halloween?

Hmm. It's not a horror movie but I have already watched Hocus Pocus. I also love beetle juice and ghostbusters. For an actual horror movie I am partial to scream 2 because it was filmed mostly on my college campus so that makes it fun to watch.

27 weeks! Baby likes to push himself up by my ribcage/lungs and I can now feel his head sometimes. It's super weird. H gets worried that I'm poking and prodding baby too much but like, I can feel actual body parts--it's super weird and I have to investigate.

We'll hopefully look at car seats/strollers this week.

Lots of RLP after an active day, but I think I need to stretch more. Otherwise I feel pretty good! (Minus the regulars like insomnia, not being able to eat normal meals, but I just figure this is my life for the next 3 months). I'm staying pretty calm/cool given the fact that my house is in shambles with the Reno and there is zero Nursery prep in the near future... but I'm just trying to relax and enjoy fall.

In a week and a half I go in for rhogam shot and glucose test.

We always host a scary movie night with our friends for Halloween and I light candles everywhere and make a spooky fun cocktail. No favorite movie--we always pick something different and everyone curls up in blankets and I love it.

Are you doing anything this week to prepare for your baby's arrival? DH put together the changing table today!! It made it so real, I feel like I have nothing done

Rants / Raves / Symptoms / Questions: I've had some Braxton hicks too. I also felt really bloated, gassy, and constipated this week even though I wasn't constipated at all, it was so uncomfortable.

GTKY: What's your favorite horror movie/movie to watch around Halloween? I don't like scary movies but I do like halloweentown I'll never be too old for those.

What's new with your little babe this week? How many weeks are you?
27 weeks! Baby is the size of a cauliflower or head of lettuce. Regular ninja training happening. This morning, it was like he was spinning on an axis.

Are you doing anything this week to prepare for your baby's arrival?
We painted the nursery yesterday and temporarily set-up the furniture this morning. I think I made my husband move the crib and dresser/changing table 10x before we settled on the right arrangement. (Both pieces are SOLID and handmade and very heavy.) Poor guy. We had to put the room back as a guest room because we have folks visiting soon and are hosting Thanksgiving. But, it was really fun to start to see it as the baby's room! This week, we're going to check out car seats and finally pick one.

I got salmon with my caesar salad last night and that was a NO GO. Managed to not throw up, but the baby made it real clear I was to stay far away.

I'm not a horror movie fan, but I LOVE Rosemary's Baby. I don't count it as horror though, it's just a brilliant film. And ditto what @canavara said -- perfect for this year!

SO MUCH. I finally have my anatomy scan on Wednesday, glucose test Friday, meeting with our doula Friday, and getting a handle on storing all of the baby stuff we've accumulated.

Nothing much, except Oktoberfest started around me this weekend so I got to snarf down some festival food. AND there were free ice cream samples in the grocery store. Come at me, glucose test!

I'm not a huge horror fan, but every year without fail I'll watch (and sing along with, and quote word for word) The Nightmare Before Christmas around this time. I may also watch it again in December...

Baby is 27 weeks & the size of a lettuce. Baby is big enough for me to feel by my hips and ribs at the same time! Totally freaked me out.

We've been clearing our storage/spare room to turn it into the nursery. But our condo has no storgare space so anything we've not trashed is just hanging out in the living room. I'm going nuts with the amount of stuff we have. Looking into storage options this week.

Nothing much to rant/rave about. I get today off in observance of Rosh Hashanah & DH took today off, so we're going to indulge at Epcot's food & wine fest (no wine this time tho

)

Next appointment is next week for glucose.

I don't like horror movies, I'm a wimp. Even Hocus Pocus can freak me out. I enjoy dressing up on Halloween and collecting black cat decor, but I don't get crazy about it.

Olive is 26 weeks. The size of a bowling pin, or kale. This is all getting arbitrary.

I'm preparing my older daughter's room so that O can move into the nursery. I'm itching to start washing and folding newborn clothing!!!!!

My rant is that the 2nd trimester is really hard with this pregnancy. It was pure magic with my first. I've spent the whole 2nd tri thinking that the morning sickness is gone for good, and then it comes back. And now I'm approaching the 3rd tri, and I'm realizing that I'm just going to be sick tor the next 12-16 weeks.

Glucose test this wednesday. PRAYING I don't puke. I'm not a seasoned vomitter, so I'll likely be hurling all over the waiting room.

No scary movies for this weanie. I can't even think of a Halloween movie I like.

What's new with your little babe this week? How many weeks are you? I'm 26 weeks and started feeling little movements on the outside this weekend.

Are you doing anything this week to prepare for your baby's arrival? I bought the stuff I needed for my crafty projects for the nursery. Now I hope to have time to paint then this weekend. Also I want to start going through DS's totes of clothes to pull out the stuff I can use again.

Rants / Raves / Symptoms / Questions: My back is a little sore after being on my feet a lot this weekend. Otherwise not much else.

When's your next appointment? October 29th for a regular OB appointment, hemoglobin test, and then a followup with my internist for my GD.

GTKY: What's your favorite horror movie/movie to watch around Halloween? I don't like horror movies and am not a huge Halloween fanatic but will catch some of the one's like Hocus Pocus if they are on TV. Last year I started getting in to The Good Witch on Hallmark and they have a new Halloween special this year.

27 weeks! Babies' brain activity is really picking up, they're over 2# each and we are in single digits- max 9 weeks left

Car seats arrived late last week so I might read through the manual. I've been in an anemic fatigue haze so I'm praying this new supplement arriving this week will help me function again so I can get shit done

Still having pretty regular contractions, 5-10 an hour all.day.long. I have to just get used to it because they're not likely going anywhere but ugh, they're draining. Also according to my 3 hour test I got the diabeetus, except I stab mysslf 4x a day and my sugars are impeccable. I'm giving it this week and then calling bullshit on my doctors.

Next week Tuesday, fluid scan and hopefully figuring out wtf is up with this "GD" diagnosis

October is my jam!!! Horror movie every day! That's pretty much all I watch all year anyway but it becomes socially acceptable in October lol. Halloween-specific movies that I can never get enough of this month are Hocus Pocus and The Craft (ohhh The Craft how I love thee!)

I'm a day late here- so 26 weeks 1 day.

Are you doing anything this week to prepare for your baby's arrival?
I thought about starting to wash her clothes- but took a nap instead. My first baby shower is scheduled for the 23rd of October, so I'm waiting to see what we get from the showers before doing too much else.

Raves- naps are the best thing ever
Rants- 1/2 our apartment is without power. My building management company sucks- and hopefully the electrician will be able to fix out circuit problem this time (last time it took a week for them to come out to fix it).

Tomorrow for regular appointment on GD testing.

GTKY: What's your favorite horror movie/movie to watch around Halloween?
Hocus Pocus and Nightmare Before Christmas. I used to watch more horror movies- but I'm just a wimp now. Plus there are people dressing up as clowns and terrorizing schools all around me right now, so I"m just going to enjoy the goofy side of halloween this year.
