28 Week Preemie Girl

Hi All - just had my baby girl when she was 28 weeks. She is currently in the NICU but thriving and doing well. breathing on her own and gaining weight. Just wanted to see if there were any other preemie moms here.

    Not a preemie mom, but wanted to say hi and give you my best wishes. Hope your little girl progresses quickly and doesn't need to stay in the NICU for too long. Good luck!

    I know it's scary! Had a NICU baby in 2001. Hang in there and listen to the nurses - they're pros. 

    Its a roller coaster. Just try to remember there is a good day on the horizon and if baby has a tough day, it's because she has an awful lot to do (learning to breathe, suck, swallow). 

    Wishing you and your sweet little girl a smooth transition from NICU to home.

    Hi! I have a preemie too. He decided to arrive right at 33 weeks. We're now getting close to 36 weeks and hopefully within a few days of discharge. It certainly is a roller coaster being in the NICU. My little guy has been doing great with breathing and body temperature just has had to develop his eating strength. Good luck to you and your little one as you go through this journey as well!  :)
