What part of the world are you from (be as vague/specific as you want)?
I live in North Carolina, close to the mountain side of things.
What number baby/pregnancy is this for you?
This is my third pregnancy and second baby. DD1 was born in July 2014 and we had a miscarriage last October.
What is your occupation or dream occupation?
I was a fourth grade teacher until dd1 was born. My dream occupation would be either an author or photographer!
Does your/will your nursery have a theme or color combination?
Our nursery's theme right now is "the place to store all the things." It will eventually hopefully be pink, mint, gray, and elephant-y!
Have you bought anything for baby yet?
One Christmas present haha. Amazon wanted me to add $10 to get free shipping, so she now has a light up owl that plays music
If you have bought things, what is your favorite thing that you have gotten so far?
We didn't buy it, but my brother and SIL found a rock and play on sale and bought it for us. Yay!
What is your favorite part of pregnancy so far?
Definitely feeling baby kicks. I like the little ones. She got a rib kick in during lunch and while it wasn't painful, it brought back memories of having a watermelon with feet kicking my rib cage. Ahhhh pregnancy.
Do you have a favorite maternity/baby brand?
Maternity - probably my LuLaRoe clothes!

One thing you will splurge on this pregnancy?
I haven't splurged on anything yet, but I want to take more care of myself the closer we get to December. Get a haircut, pedicure, etc so that I at least feel pretty as I waddle around.
What are your top pregnancy related priorities?
Right now, to fit in to my bridesmaid dress this Saturday is #1. So far, so good. Cross your fingers for me. After that, I am having my one hour glucose test Tuesday morning. I failed the one hour last time and passed the three hour with flying colors but it was so miserable. I'm so hoping to pass it the first time next week. And beyond that, soaking up all the time I can with Dd1 as her run as only child comes to an end.
What is your favorite book?
I really loved The Help. I know it's several years old now but it's one that I would read over and over.
What is your favorite tv show?
Gilmore Girls! I cannot wait for the new mini series in November.
What is your favorite movie?
This is tough - I like pretty much any romantic comedy. Or just general comedy. I think I have watched Anchorman more than any other movie, but I wouldn't necessarily say it's my favorite. I guess I don't really have one!
What is your favorite band/singer?
Same as movies - I'll listen to and enjoy pretty much anything. So I'm copping out of this one too haha!
Anything else you would like us to know?
My husband is currently in the interview process with a new church that would be so much closer to where our family lives. He's one of the final candidates and we're hoping to hear anytime now about the next step and whether he'll be moving on. I'm starting to dwell on insurance and housing and doctors because we'd be moving probably a month or so before DD2 is born. If you get a minute, say a prayer for us and think some good thoughts. I'm reaching the end of my calm and starting to feel a little panicky!

Hello!
I wasn't sure if I would get the day after Thanksgiving off this year, as I just started a new position a month ago and figured I'd be at the bottom of the pool depending on if others requested that day already. Well, turns out no one did... so I requested it... and the rest of that week off to start early leave time (FMLA starts the Monday after Thanksgiving and I had a good chunk of vacation time to use up before leave).
So, what will I be doing now the day after Thanksgiving? Watching Gilmore Girls!! I am so excited. Oh, and probably online shopping while doing so for last minute gifts and/or baby stuff.

Also, my DD2 was born in July 2014! I'm not part of that board though, I was a student at the time and had no time. Maybe I should join though...

@yellingbanana teachers unite! July 2014 was great. I don't know how active the board is on here anymore. I hope life with your two year old is as simple as it can be. Our daughter is very sweet but had a very terrible twos day today.
