My parents are twatwaffles. We had our gender reveal family dinner over the weekend. My mom videoed us shooting off the confetti cannons and immediately posts everything to social media. I told her twice to take it down because there are tons of people we wanted to personally tell and it was our news to share not hers. She never took it down. And my dad announced on social media the name we picked. I feel like I got all the fun taken away from me because I couldn't tell my friends my news. We weren't planning to post on social media until after the due date passed of our recent loss. How rude.
Every year, she offers to host dinner for the first night of Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year). We're always a group of 15-20 people and each family or guest brings either an entree or a desert or even drinks. So it's not like she has to cover everything. Anyway, so she sends everyone a message yesterday that her kids are selling bags of popcorn for scouts and that they are 15$ a bag (wtf?!?) and for us to come "prepared". They accept cash OR checks.
LMAO are you kidding? I'm sorry, but no. I may have considered buying a bag had the kids asked me themselves discretely at their house but the fact that the mom sent a message to all the guests like that basically insisting that we have to buy these bags of popcorn, it's not happening.
I should also mention that her kids were asking the guests at me and H's wedding for money to support some cause for school. NOT THE TIME OR PLACE. Anyways, thankfully my MIL intercepted and told then it was unacceptable. They had only made it to one table, the one where my in-laws were sitting.

My grandfather is my TW for today. I posted what he did in the Monday Btchfest. I am just irate at him. I feel kind of guilty calling an old Italian man a TW, but he really crossed a line with me and DH yesterday. He basically criticized our ability to maintain our home (because our trash can smelled) and said he feels like he needs to inspect our home for cleaniless and organization with a baby on the way, and he slandered our dogs for being untrained, which they aren't. Even my puppy is well behaved, the worst she does is have a tinkle accident every once in a while, but she doesn't destroy or chew. He thinks because they dig holes in my yard they are uncivilized and must run around my home like filthy savage street dogs and poop all over everything, even though the hound dog he had when I was growing up dug holes and dug out of the fence all the time. And my dogs are well kept and healthy pretty girls. He just needs to knock it off. He likes to piss of my husband and then say he has an attitude problem when DH gets mad. SO OVER HIS CRAP! Can't wait for him to retreat to his out of state Winter home for 6 months...what a vacation we will have from his nonsense
My H was being a TW this morning. As we are leaving the house he says "I left (the dog) outside, after you drop me and the girls off you can bring him back him." Uhh no. First of all, we are a one car family and that makes for a very busy/stressful morning for me everyday. Drop H off at work, DD1 off at school, DD2 off at daycare, and then I go to work. I am not about to add another stop. Second of all, the second our dog decides he doesn't want to be outside - he barks. And its an AWFUL bark. Its like a seal bark. Every 10/15 seconds he lets out one, loud, squeaky seal bark until he is let in. I am not about to subject our neighbors to that at 7/7:30AM! I pointed this stuff out to him and he shrugged and said the neighbors can deal with the bark and I know that having a dog = more responsibility so an extra stop shouldn't bother me. Our dog has been pooping in the same exact spot in the living room every single day, so he's trying to prevent that, but I think it has to do with our dog doesn't like pooping when he's on a leash. Our yard will be fenced in the next week or two, so hopefully that should help. Also, while I am at it, the dog is a TW, we take him for long walks, bought him a long leash for the yard, I go home for lunch sometimes to let him out and he poops in our living room for no reason. Anyway, long story short- he let the damn dog in before we left.

@peachesnbean Dogs are weird. I hope you can figure out why he is pooping in that particular spot, surely there is a reason. Our Chihuahua poops AND pees in the den/piano room in the winter because he doesn't like the cold. We have to watch him super close all winter...and I also lined the rug that he pees on with a water resistant pad so the times he does pee in there it doesn't soak through to the carpet. The damn dog has a winter coat (several of them, actually) and still doesn't want to do his business outside.
Dogs are weird, my adult dog runs out really quickly to do her business if it is raining, but my puppy wants to stay out in it and dance around, then she comes inside and tries to run between my legs to rub the water off onto my pants and goes bonkers trying to get the wetness out of her fur. She's a goof.
He has been doing it since we moved into the new house, unfortunately. Our old yard was fenced and pretty spacious, and all his. Now the yard isn't fenced (yet- its happening soon!), its about half the size, and he shares it with our housemates' dog. Luckily he doesn't pee, consistently, in the living room. Just doo.

Re: dogs messing in the house, is this a small dog thing? It seems like all of our friends with small dogs have problems, like they just really don't care if their owners don't want them to pee in certain areas. Our 55 lb mutt has always been incredible; learned almost immediately (went in the house twice during training) and hasn't again in the five years since. My parent's lab mix has a designated area in the yard that he sticks to religiously.
Our chihuahua mix growing up would pee in the house if it was cold or rainy, my best friend's two shitzus pee and poop inside weekly, and our friends with two beagle mixes both have regular messes. They all know they aren't supposed to, it's like they simply don't care what the owners want.
@joyful08 that is totally not okay at all!!! Way to just steal your thunder completely! I totally understand that people want to share in the excitement, but why can't they let the ones doing all the growing and laboring share the news first and then piggy back off of it or share your post? Ugh, I'm sorry! My friends tried to do this to me as well. Not cool!

I have cousins who are very strictly religious, and therefore have chosen careers as missionaries and want to go on different trips to spread God's word. Totally cool, I went on a couple in high school and college too, but I paid for them myself or worked to earn that money! They are asking family members for donations on a daily basis! No offense hunni, but if you really feel the need to preach God's word, I know you can you do it in Europe or Asia for only $10,000 but you can also just walk outside to your local park, school, or homeless shelter, free of charge! Also... I'd rather save my money for Girl Scout cookies than $15 bags of popcorn!
I HATE the collecting for school stuff, it drives me INSANE. When i was in school, my mom wuold just pay what was required for us and that was it. The only thing I ever reached out to people for was the girl scout cookies and my one aunt loved the wrapping paper the schools sell. That was it. In my development I feel like I have someone at my door daily wanting/selling something. It's to the point I don't answer my door.
My TW is my co-worker. She is so fing annoying. We had training today and told her as we were walking in I should have gone to the bathroom after I inhaled my water. Well the entire time I would literally shift in my seat she would be like, "Oh pregnant lady needs to pee. Watch out boys, someone has special needs now." First off, I didn't, I can shift in my seat. Second, my group is all guys and they really don't need to be thinking about me using the bathroom. Or care. I held it just to spite her. On a positive note, it was the first time I have felt the baby move a TON this whole pregnancy. Glad debt service calculations entertained one of us
Me. For doing this to our car. We just had that door replaced when I got side swiped. I misjudged how much room I had in DDs tiny school parking lot. OOOPS.
@Spicyweiner - that sucks....I totally did that backing out of my driveway and slid against our other vehicle thinking I had enough room to pull straight out. My white car now has big black smudges on the rear. Funtastic
My boss is my twatwaffle today. Things kind of hit the fan at work cause in a four week period we lost our entire billing team (three people). So on top of all my usual work I have to do all their work and I am swamped. So, my boss sent me an email and because I was working on someone else it took me awhile to respond. Less then twenty minutes after her initial email I get a follow up email in all caps asking why I hadn't responded to her first email. I'm doing the job of 4 people right now, it's ridiculous. I feel like now that they know I'm pregnant, they're trying to make me quit. We're under 50 people so FMLA laws don't apply and the last girl who was pregnant got her hours cut and then wasn't given her job back. Another girl told us she was pregnant on her first day and was informed her position was no longer available, so they're pregnancy track record is not good.
Panera. I bought one of my employees lunch in exchange for her going to pick mine up because I'm in a bad mood and I needed #allthecarbs without having to drive anywhere. She gets there and calls me and they say they have no record of my order even though I have a confirmation email and my card was charged. They told her I needed to re-place the order and I was in no mood. They finally "found" my order and made our food but I am super cranky about it. They didn't even apologize.
Bottom line the fertility clinic and doctor are TW. The rest is just a long complaint.

They were supposed to transfer my file at the end of June/early July and as of now they have not. They kept forcing me back to their clinic way past the usual 'graduation' time because they didn't bother making a referral. Going to their clinic requires a babysitter, 6 hours on various public transportation and several hours in the office. (Even for a blood test that could have been done anywhere)
I told them in August my ob takes people at 20+ weeks but they need to refer me earlier. They chose to do nothing and now they are booking when I will be 28-30 weeks. I hope I can still get in.
I have sent emails and left messages and no one replies. I have now made an appointment with my family doctor and I will get a referral from him. I refuse to return to that clinic. There are a lot of other things the doctor and his staff have done but I don't want to go on forever. They treat me like I am an object.
my TW today is the receptionist at work. She told me today I was "getting bigger" which is fine, because yes, I am. However, it was really not necessary to elaborate and say, "like you are spreading out, getting wider. It's probably going to be a really big baby" Thanks lady. I'm only 17weeks, so I doubt my current size has anything to do with the eventual size of my baby. another one of the girls I work with gave me a sympathetic/trying not to laugh look behind her.

A day late but my coworkers are TWs. We work in an open desk environment, and each day more and more of them are coming in sick because they don't want to use their PTO days for sick days. It's only a matter of time before I catch something
Ugh I feel ya @lfrank12! We don't get sick days it's just vacation time so in the winter everyone is sick because no one wants to loose a vacation day over being sick. The company claims people just hoarded sick days too but I feel like it had to have been less than it is now.

@lfrank12 boo! That makes me so mad. By not taking the time and getting the proper rest, it just prolongs their illness. Plus it's totally selfish, because they spread it around. I get not wanting to take PTO, but still. It's a lose-lose situation for everyone. I hope you can fend off the illness!
