My name is Brandi and I am a 21 year old from Montana. My sister told me to seek out help from this board as it really helped her cope with the stresses of infertility. When I was about 16 I was told I had PCOS and possibly endometriosis. I fought it tooth and nail but never really got true relief of symptoms until about a year ago. My husband and I began ttc about 1 year ago now and it has been a struggle the whole time. I also have two step daughters who are wonderful in everyway and whom I love. But it's hard to talk to my husband about infertility because as much as he tries he doesn't understand what it's like to have a fear of never being able to have children. We looked into fertility treatments but unfortunately excess estrogen and progesterone in my system cause my breathing to randomly stop. At first they thought I had bloodclots but later found nothing there. They called it panic attacks and left it at that. It has been hard watching couples who barely have to try to get pregnant go through their whole pregnancy while I am still here, in the prime of my youth unable to do anything. Lately I have just been convinced it's never going to happen...
Re: New Member Intro in need of help (children mentioned)
i started ttc a bit later in life (i'm 34 now and have been trying for the last year) and wish i had started earlier.

Welcome!
You're sister is right and that you can receive help / support from the community here.
I would suggest lurking and searching the boards to see if anything you're wondering about has been discussed at all. That will help you find answers you're looking for as well as maybe come up with questions you didn't know you had.
I would read the The Ultimate TTGP Guide. It's very helpful! https://forums.thebump.com/discussion/12685680/the-ultimate-ttgp-guide-newbies-read-this-first#latest
Also, the general saying here is "give support to receive support". Therefore I would suggest participating in the WTO (Waiting to Ovulate) and TWW (Two Week Wait) threads on the TTGP board as well. You will find a lot of helpful information there as well.
Have you seen an RE yet? Are you currently doing anything to get pregnant? Meds, etc? I hope your stay here is short
but we're glad to have you.

@Braalicam Welcome! I'm sorry you find yourself here. This is a great board with lots of knowledgeable and supportive women. I think you'll find a number of people who also have PCOS, and can provide advice. You don't need to lurk; you can jump into the weekly check-in thread, and I hope you do!
I know this isn't the TTGP board but I know that a lot of members (myself included) participate on that board and this one. I should have been more clear and said if OP wanted to, it would be a good idea to participate in those threads on the TTGP board as well.

Understandable. I was a bit anxious when first posting on the TTGP board but it's really not bad. You should come on in.
