ILS are due to be here in 4 hours. I need to get some cleaning done even though MIL is planning on helping me. She is also bringing my favorite cookies which just makes me so happy!
MIL and I are going to go shopping for a dress for my baby shower next weekend while Dh and FIL clean up the back yard. They also have plans to pit L's closet system together at some point this weekend. ILS, DH and BIL and SIL are going to a Def Lepperd concert tonight and I'm staying home. Too loud for growing baby ears.
Tomorrow more cleaning. I need to read through my students science fair packets and see if they are up to par or if they need revamping.

Yesterday we met up with a friend for lunch DH and DS hiked while I was at my glucose appointment This morning we did cleaning blitz (well... DH really). Groceries. and then a 1 yr old birthday party. Tomorrow a 5k in the morning. A friend is having a bday get together but it's at a brewery and I may be too ...bleh... to join.
Last night was girl's night with my sister - we stayed in, watched shows we don't acknowledge to our DH's, did pedi's and generally just had a blast :-) This morning DH got up and made breakfast, then seared a pork roast and put it on in the crock pot for dinner and just now took DS outside.... bless that wonderful man! No major plans today, may go to a neighborhood festival this afternoon Tomorrow will be family time, football and then Date Night!!! Very much looking forward to this as our together time is about to come to a swift end (trying to figure out the best thread to elaborate on this in....)
We were supposed to have our prepared childbirth class today but it was cancelled late last night. Now we have absolutely nothing to do today and I'm pretty excited about it.
Went to a big consignment sale this morning and found a boppy for $10, a shopping cart cover for $3, and a bunch of sleepers for the boy. Thumbs up for that.
Trying to go shopping today because I have no pants or leggings that fit, and I'm running out of comfortable underwear. Hopefully motherhood can meet my needs today. That is if people would stop calling DH to work. :'(
being lazy today, did some online shopping because I had gymbucks and bumpbucks to spend, trying to convince my 7 yo to get dressed and eat something healthy for lunch, going grocery shopping later and defrosting our deep freezer, hoping to catch some college football, and might help DH hang his party lights outside, if he is nice to me. tomorrow we have a karate birthday party to attend and hopefully nothing else. I need to do some work from home this weekend but I can't seem to sign on to the VPN so it might just be decided for me.
Halloween shopping--we are mapping out our yard decorations so we can start setting up everything this coming week. Our neighborhood looks forward to our displays every year, so that's really cool.
I spent the morning with my mom at the hospital so she could get an epidural. She gets it once a month for spinal stenosis. Tonight, I hope to leave DD with DH while I go shopping for an outfit for my baby shower next weekend. Tomorrow is just church and relaxing.
^^this! (Was supposed to have quoted zubenescamali on cayaylonglegs post)
im working today (petty problem) but tomorrow I'm going to see Fluffy (comedian) with my mom! I also have Monday off which involves doing absolutely nothing!
Last night we hung out with friends and ate dinner with their family. They have 3 boys - 2 elementary school aged and an infant and DD is in love with all of them!
Today has been a whole lot of nothing and absolutely perfect. I didn't get much sleep last night so I'm being lazy/trying to stay on top of DD's snotty nose today.
Church tomorrow as long as she doesn't seem more sick. Then I'm going to my first in person LLR party! I can't wait!!
June Siggy Challenge: Dad Fails
Married 7.28.2012 DD born 7.27.2014 BFP 09.2015 - m/c 10.21.2015
DHs last birthday weekend before graduating to "dad" aka no more "birthday parties" for my big child. Today I'm working on a paper for class, tonight we are going to Oktoberfest at the ski resort and then will watch a ski movie with his friends (ughhh...) Tomorrow his friends are coming over to bust open a piñata and eat cake. Like I said, this is his last birthday party. He is totally taking advantage of that fact haha
We got a lot done today. Ran errands, saw a few open houses, now I'm getting some laundry done. Tomorrow we might visit my grandmother if she's up for it. Otherwise we'll just relax.
Last night we went to the new Wegmans that opened close to our house. We are so so exciting.
Today the nursery was painted! DH is going out with friends tonight and I'm just hanging out and probably eating ice cream. Tomorrow we're going to the last Orioles home game them putting together nursery furniture. I'm excited to get the nursery put to rights, by the time it's done it'll be the nicest room in our house lol.
We went to dinner and saw a movie last night. DH picked The Blair Witch...blah...I don't like scary movies.
Today I cleaned and now we're just being lazy. I kind of want to go shopping, but also don't really feel like leaving the house for no real purpose. Grilling chicken and veggies for dinner.
Tomorrow we might go to the zoo. Temps are nice here in the mornings and the highs only in the 90s now. I guess we'll decide in the morning.
Last night, we went out for supper for my SIL's hubby's birthday with some other family (in laws and a couple of DH's aunts/uncles). Then just went to their house afterwards to hang out.
Today - Did maternity pics this morning. It was almost 70 degrees already and SUPER humid, so my hair died right away. It was also windy... so that combo was not good regardless. I am hoping some pics turn out when my hair wasn't in my face. It was a fairly quick shoot, which DH prefers. We used a new gal (she's also doing our newborn session), and was great... so i may continue using her after for other stuff. Not much excitement the rest of the day - went to Hobby Lobby and got a big metal "W" for the babies room... which is the first thing bought for the babies room. We plan on staying in to eat leftover grilled steak for supper... watch some DVR'd shows or a movie tonight. Oh, and I did some laundry. Blake Shelton is in town tonight too and I could have bought some sweet tickets this afternoon (Row N in the section on the floor in seats 2-3, which is RIGHT by the stage), but I don't know many who would go last minute and can save some money. I last saw him 6 years ago.
Sunday - We're going to the Bret Michael's RockFest at a local venue in the early afternoon (starts at 5:30). It's outside, so hopefully the weather cooperates. It's him, Firehouse, Ratt and some other band I have never heard. We're going with SIL/hubby, so that should be fun. I'll be the sober driver, ha.

Mostly hung out at home getting stuff done today. My birthday and our anniversary are early next week, so tomorrow we're celebrating by going to a couples birth prep yoga class (we're really living it up) and getting dim sum since we'll be in a city anyway. After having a Saturday farmers market every week since May, and having visitors last weekend, it's awesome to actually have some down time.
Nothing exciting yesterday. DH was off and his friend came over so we did Cici's for lunch. DH and I ran out to Walmart after I got off from work to get some necessities and I crashed around 10. He stayed up until 1 to prep for tonight.
Today slept in. Took DH to get a haircut and I swung by the library for some yoga DVDs. Then we did lunch at DQ because I made a joke about it before leaving Fantastic Sams. DH is working until at least 3am with the HUGE event happening at the museum he works at. Lots of high up VIPs from museums and science centers all over the world. He's not only working the event but participating as well, since he's the highest level of management on the weekends. He's super nervous, they've been prepping for this event for months now. While he's working I'm getting some work of my own done and waiting for my parents to come pick up their dog.
Tomorrow trip to the storage unit to make more space in there and taking some things from what will be baby's section of the second bedroom there. I hope we can start putting the crib together. Ish is getting real!

Productive so far. Ran lots of errands this morning. Picked up travel system from my moms and put that together. Assembled the crib. Did some more unpacking in the house. Tried a new place for lunch that does flatbread burgers which turned out to be super good. Resting now because the BH started kicking in telling me to chill. Going to my grandmas later to help her and a friend get ready for a craft fair.
Tomorrow - Grocery shopping in the morning. Early lunch with my best friend I haven't seen in months. BBQ/pool afternoon at the in laws. And birth class in the evening.
Went to a Rob Thomas (singer from matchbox twenty) concert tonight with my mama. It was awesome!!
Tomorrow is H's birthday, he is gone hunting with buddies and will be back tomorrow night but gave me the ok to treat myself to a pedicure tomorrow. (probably so someone else will rub my feet for once since he always does haha).
Ohhhhh and yesterday H let me get a shirt from WalMart I saw that has a kitten riding a unicorn in space. So classy. I just had to have it.
My family is in town for a bike rally that's happening about an hour north of us, my dad has a Harley and loves the whole biker culture. Also our Rock N Play and our Baby Trend travel system came in, so we've been having lots of fun with that. It's getting a lot more real that we'll be having a baby in 10 weeks or less!
We took our kids to the state fair yesterday, I got a smoked turkey leg and an elephant ear (yasssss). It was insanely exhausting, and I got really swollen. But fun, yes. Today is soccer game day for my 4th grader, then catch up on the football game. Frozen yogurt, hopefully a nice dinner.
Friday night I finally got my Cheesecake Factory (yaas) and we went to Trader Joe's and raided their freezer section for dinners this week because I sincerely just don't want to cook anything. Not sure what my deal is, but pregnant me does not enjoy preparing food.
Yesterday was interesting. DH had one of the busiest on call Saturdays he's had in a long time. Even so we got some good stuff at a church consignment sale and we went to a Once Upon a Child and found the cutest velour zip up sleeper with puppy dog ears for Eaton. I keep going to get it and smiling. I rode with DH to go work on a store and we found a great hibachi buffet where I ate (not raw) sushi to my heart's desire.
Today, exhausted, we slept in and made pumpkin cinnamon rolls (omg yum), finished our errands, and I went to Bath and Body Works to restock my soap stash (today's the last day to get 6 for $18). I also grabbed a candle called "Sweater Weather" and pulled out my fall decor items and set them out. Makes me smile. Now I'm curled up on the couch and officially "in" for the day. My lofty goals for the rest of the evening are to finish up some laundry and make some progress on the book I'm involved in.
Also: I bought some leggings at Motherhood maternity (I had a coupon to buy them for $10, heeey) on Saturday and wore them today. I have decided that all regular leggings need to be replaced with maternity leggings. So ridiculously comfortable.
@Austenista OMG I got some of the MM leggings too this weekend and I'm over here wondering where they have been my whole life. Also...totally stocked up on hand soaps and candles too...I got "Pumpkin Pie," though. It's like we're connected or something...bumpy-kinesis...whoooaaaa....
@dmontgo that's exactly like what we've done. Those leggings are so comfortable they make other leggings feel ashamed of themselves. I had a little buyer's remorse as I was leaving B&BW because they were burning "pumpkin pecan waffles." I almost went back for an exchange.
@dmontgo and @austenista my sister started wearing their leggings BEFORE she was pregnant. I wish I were that brilliant. Also, belly bump for sweater weather, it's my fave.

Happy weekend ladies!!!
Work on r2d2 quilt and maybe some smaller sewing projects.
DH just took DD on a bike ride, so naturally instead of cleaning I'm bumping.
Nothing big or fun is happening. Someday.
Trying to go shopping today because I have no pants or leggings that fit, and I'm running out of comfortable underwear. Hopefully motherhood can meet my needs today. That is if people would stop calling DH to work. :'(
