Re: Sunday ticker change 9/25:
Ummm nothing really, H will be out of town and I'm officially too big to be doing many of the tasks left solo
I'm starting to feel baby A more regularly and it makes me so much more comfortable! However, these reflux burps are killing me, and I haven't slept more than 3 hours at a time in about 2 months now and it's really wearing on me!
Full growth scan on Wednesday and diabeetus class on Thursday.
We we have a few! I walked down the aisle to Ben Harper's Forever, and our first dance was Earth Angel, but "our" song is Beast of Burden (pizza burden)
What are you doing this week to prepare for LO's arrival? I'm starting to read the post-birth parenting books because I've realized I've been reading nothing but pregnancy ones until now.
Rants / Raves / Symptoms / Questions: Pretty sure I'm iron-deficient anemic. Taking a better prenatal now, but going to get my levels checked with my next appt. to see if I need supplements. Basically: More exhausted than I have ever felt in my life and no amount of sleep makes it better.
When's your next appointment? Friday, glucose test and 4-week appt.
GTKY: What is yours and your SO's song? (If you don't have one, what song makes you think of your SO?) Good question! I don't think we have a song nor does any song remind me of him
22wks, she's as big as a coconut
What are you doing this week to prepare for LO's arrival?
clearing space in my room for her furniture
Rants / Raves / Symptoms / Questions:
When's your next appointment?
Oct 14th, just a reg check-up
GTKY: What is yours and your SO's song? (If you don't have one, what song makes you think of your SO?)
Aerosmith- I Dont Want To Miss A Thing
ETA ugh bump ate my post again! We have a new throwback hip hop station in Detroit and I'm obsessed!! So much 112 and Ginuwine and Blackstreet, it's like 1996 in my car every day
We finished painting the baby's room and I love how it turned out! H and a bunch of friends helped (bc last weekend I primed alone and had many breakdowns) and we knocked it out pretty quickly. This was the to-do list item causing me the most anxiety--I should've just asked for help earlier. Now we move out of our house for a month while kitchen/bathroom get done... But all I wanna do is prep the baby's room and nest! Oh well, patience. (Included a few pics for visual of the room color... Accent colors will be white, wood, dark blue and maybe a few brighter pops of color)
Stomach is growing at lightening speed--no denying I look pregnant now. Guess that means baby is growing! Also means I finally need to get maternity clothes--boo. Still feel uncomfortably full after any normal sized meal, so trying to stick to snacks, but it's really hard when I want a real dinner.
This Thursday; monthly check-up.
I don't think we really have a "song", but our first dance was "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You" (or I love you baby, whatever it's called) by Frankie Valli. It was a fun one to dance to and always makes me think of one of my favorite scene in 10 Things I Hate About You (best movie).
We have a meeting with our doula this week that I feel totally unprepared for. I should probably have some questions for her but my brain is so fried.
Waiting at the airport to get on a 7.5 hour flight. I JUST got my ankles back to a normal size after my marathon of weddings that involved 4 flights in 5 days. Oh well.
October 5th for my anatomy scan (I feel like I'm the last one around here to get one)
We have very similar music tastes, but pretty much anything from Apoclalyptica or Blue October is our jam (walked down the aisle to Nothing Else Matters and our first dance was Calling You)
25 Weeks- Califlower. She's fattening up a bit and getting color to her skin. I'm pretty sure I have felt her hiccuping a few times over the last week.
What are you doing this week to prepare for LO's arrival?
Yesterday DH, my brother and I went to Ikea and bought a nightstand and dresser for the nursery. We still need to get a rocker/glider and some decor. I'm debating on some art work now and need to find some storage solutions for headbands/ bows, books and stuffed animals. The room is coming together and should be done by the end of October.
Rants / Raves / Symptoms / Questions:
Rants- My ankles and feet swell up so badly every day. It hurts to walk and stand. At night my legs are also cramping alot making it even harder to fall asleep. And HOLY heartburn.
Raves- There are a few women at my nail salon that are just amazing. I got a pedicure with an extra 10 minute massage and it was heaven on earth. I may leave my husband for these women.
When's your next appointment?
Either October 3rd or 4th (pregnancy brain has me so confused as to when I scheduled appointments now). I have my GD test after my appointment at the lab. Starting to stress that I won't pass- try to eat like I have GD this week to keep my sugar levels down.
GTKY: What is yours and your SO's song? (If you don't have one, what song makes you think of your SO?)
We have a few. Our first dance was to 'Question' by Old '97s. We also sing 'Bus Stop' by The Hollies to each other randomly (we sign it really badly to each other too). We also used to live near a Brooklyn Bagel and DH changed the words to The Avett Brother's 'I and Love and You' and still sing it to each other when we are getting bagels or going to Brooklyn or Astoria.
BFP#4- 9/26 edd 6/5/18

Rants / Raves / Symptoms / Questions:
Lots of stretching. Tired.

GTKY: What is yours and your SO's song? (If you don't have one, what song makes you think of your SO?)
My Best Friend- Tim McGraw
26 weeks! Baby is the size of a bunch of kale. Lots of visible movement -- mostly rolls and kicks.
What are you doing this week to prepare for LO's arrival?
We picked a paint color for the nursery. Going to paint our room (different color) and nursery next weekend.
Rants / Raves / Symptoms / Questions:
I've had some pretty gnarly varicose veins on my right leg and ankle for a while and they are getting much more noticeable. They both creep me out and fascinate me.
When's your next appointment? Early October for glucose test.
GTKY: What is yours and your SO's song? (If you don't have one, what song makes you think of your SO?)
Our first dance was to "Into the Mystic" by Van Morrison. Also, "Dancing on our Graves" by The Cave Singers. (Random song title, awesome live show)
What's new with your little babe? How far along are you?
Week 26: Baby is the size of kale or a head of lettuce this week. Eyes & immune system are developing. I've been feeling more rolly polies too and a lot more often.
What are you doing this week to prepare for LO's arrival?
Last week, we ended up finding great deals on a twin bed & drawers to put in thr nusery. Now we have lots of storage to start putting away the few baby items we have. This week, we're going to continue clearing out the junk in the room, sorting between donation & storage. Hopefully, we'll be ready to put a fresh coat of paint & super steam clean the carpets by next Sunday!
Rants / Raves / Symptoms / Questions:
Rant/Symptom: OMG my chest, shoulders, and rib cage are aching so bad. I think I need to get re-sized and buy a more supportive bra than my sports bras, but I don't want to drop $25+ on bras I may not wear longer than a few weeks.
When's your next appointment?
Next appointment will be the glucose test on 10/12, which I've been absolutely dreading 'cos I did one last year when I was having health issues and threw up within 15 minutes, got super dizzy, & missed the whole day of work. Thankfully, my MW said I can eat before this test, which will make all the difference. Same day, we're getting a 3D/4D US. DH has really been wanting one & now that it's booked, I'm getting supee excited.
GTKY: What is yours and your SO's song? (If you don't have one, what song makes you think of your SO?)
Our first dance was to "I will be here" by Steven Curtis Chapman. We entered to the song "Best day of my life" by American Authors, so that song always makes me happy. And, on our one year anniversary, the hotel DH took me to dinner had a live band and he requested "Strangers in the Night" because he loves Sinatra. The band didn't know the lyrics, so he was up singing and dancing with me. It was so fun.

22 weeks! Baby is the size of a coconut.
What are you doing this week to prepare for LO's arrival?
Measured for curtains in the nursery, haven't committed to any yet, I'm terrible at visualizing how it will look
Rants / Raves / Symptoms / Questions:
Lots of kicks now, before it was movement like she was rolling around, now it's real kicks!
When's your next appointment?
October 14
GTKY: What is yours and your SO's song? (If you don't have one, what song makes you think of your SO?)
Our wedding dance song was supposed to be Garth Brooks "to make you feel my love", and then on my way to Pittsburgh to get my dress (about 2 hrs from my house) from the salon I heard the song "ground up" on a country station and fell in love with it. The song wasn't out from the radio stations in my city yet, the song talked about having a family and baby and wedding and love like grandparents, I love the song. When DH and I started dating we used to listen to country songs that weren't popular yet and we found one called "forever girl", DH always says "you're my forever girl.
We got new carpet on Friday so we finally moved the crib into her room! I also washed the clothes I had gotten from others or knew I would be using and hung up the rest in her closet. Waiting for my mom to get here next week so we can finish the nursery! yay!!
Lots of kicks. Lots of heartburn. And its getting hard to get up off the couch and bend over!
Oct 7th. Glucose test, 4D and 4 week checkup!
song - Lady Antebellum "Cant take my eyes off you" -- This album had just come out when we started dating and this song fits us to a T! Its always been our song
Sawyer Ryanne due Jan 1, 2017
What are you doing this week to prepare for LO's arrival? Finally focusing on the nursery, we just finished up painting the trim (have been working the last 4 weeks on getting ALL trim painted in the house along with a number of other projects). Now trying to get everything put back up and in place so I can start filling drawers and putting some feminine touches in the room.
Rants / Raves / Symptoms / Questions: Been feeling really good. Crossing my fingers for all you ladies having your glucose tests and hope you don't get to join the club.
When's your next appointment? Tomorrow. I see the OB for a regular appointment and then go to see my Internist to check in on my blood sugar numbers. I should find out more about how the GD will change my appointment schedule with my OB tomorrow so that will be good.
GTKY: What is yours and your SO's song? (If you don't have one, what song makes you think of your SO?) The song we danced to at our wedding was Hunter Hayes "Wanted" so that's kind of our song. We don't really have one. I pretty much listen only to country music while DH listens to a variety of music.
