sorry if this pic is enormous. Technology is not my forte. Anywho, here's my safe list. I personally would avoid sedatives like the PM stuff. If the cough medicine helps the cough then that alone should help you sleep. Believe me, I'm going through it myself right now. I just posted a similar thread yesterday regarding Sudafed. Maybe try hot tea as well? That will give some relief and also maybe make you sleepy.
ETA: I'm also permitted to use my asthma inhaler, which I have been throughout this cold, as needed. We have a pharmacy at my office and I bought plain Robitussin and it really did help a great deal with the cough, throughout the work day and also before bed. I got horrible sleep the previous night and slept like a rock last night. I maybe took it twice per day (the Robitussin, I mean) because, you know, meds scare me while pregnant, but it still worked remarkably.
Mucinex works great for a cough, if you are looking for the pm effect to help you sleep just take some benadryl along with the robitussin. Hope you feel better soon. It sucks to be sick when you are preggo.
I'm sick too! Just when the morning sickness was easing wham I get a horrible cold. I asked my doctor today and she said most over the counter COLD meds are fine. She said Mucinex, Sudafed, and Tylenol or NyQuil are okay.

Story of my life! MS started going away and I was hit with a cold. I asked the pharmacist at walgreens yesterday and she recommended and gave me sudafed - which made me think of that sudafed thread where the pharmacist wouldn't give it to her because she was pregnant.

Usually the PM stuff is just diphenhydramine aka Benadryl which is safe during pregnancy.
Re: Safe meds
This is what I was given on OTC meds
