Milk Banks & Donation

Hey ladies, got a question. I have been looking into donating breast milk in the future and don't really know where to start. I've called around and am waiting on some calls back, but I'm trying to find a good organization that donates--DONATES--to preemie moms or adoptive moms or people who need it. All I can seem to find are for-profit companies that charge hospitals/people for breast milk. Does anyone have experience with this at all? Any insight?

    I don't have any personal experience. But you have to go to milk banks. Maybe try Facebook.

    I am in the process, but keep forgetting to submit the paperwork to my doc. In Indiana, we can drop milk donations off at our local Indiana Blood Banks. They work in partnership with the milk bank.

    I am a member of a Facebook group that is for moms in my area. I was looking to donate some of my freezer stash since my LO has a milk allergy, and there was an adoptive mom on there that desperately needed milk for her son. So I found someone directly to donate it to. Might be worth it to throw it out there to a local mom group.
