I'm gonna keep it close to today - we're going to a corn maze October 1st.
Rants/Raves/Questions:
rave - all the new words spewing out of that adorable little tiny tots mouth.
Anything you want to add/share?
DH is gone 3 nights a week for class and a run club. It's getting so hard for me to lug lil guy around and I still have 12.5 weeks. I'm worried about this...
Bonus Question: Do you decorate for the various seasons/occasions? Bonus points for pics!
Minimally. I want to look festive and not like a scrouge but don't actually have an interest in decorating or storing decorations. So I swap out a door hanging thing seasonally. We'll put up a tree for Christmas. But we're sort of bare minimum...
What are you most looking forward to right now? Open question Not being at my job for 3 months when maternity leave comes. I am really fully planted in a seat on the struggle bus.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I am with you @slartybartfast on the new stuff with LO. Not only is it new words but I feel like his ability to mimic routines day to day is getting so good. For example, going down the stairs I say, "123 Boom" and he will do that on his own now!
Anything you want to add/share? I am starting to stress about plans for DS when I go into labor. I feel like I need to get that shit straightened out here pretty quick. I work right by daycare, and hopefully MIL will be able to pick up DS when the time comes, but if she's working at a site far away she might not be able to get him before 5. So I keep saying that I can just snag him onthe way to the hospital-I go right by daycare so I'll probably have time. DH is like, NO YOU WILL NOT GO STRAIGHT THERE. labor only took like 6 hours for me so I think he's worried. Anyway, just one of the weird things I'm trying to navigate-at least I don't have 12 goats to care for, lol.
Bonus Question: Do you decorate for the various seasons/occasions? Bonus points for pics! I bought really cute 88 cent towels at walmart covered in hedgehogs and foxes and fall leaves and pumpkins. And I'll probably let DS paint a pumpkin or something for the porch but no, we don't decorate a lot. I wish I did, but I always second guess the money. We put up xmas decorations though!

this week has felt better! H started a new job and they gave him a company truck so I'm no longer housebound with no car. Bring on the play dates!

getting through the next couple of months. My best friend is getting married mid-November so we've got the jack and Jill, bachelorette, and wedding. All super exciting things, but I'm exhausted just thinking about it all.
Rants/Raves/Questions:
DD recently had a spike in bad behavior. We've had lots of time outs and I've had a couple of ugly mom moments - ugh.
But then she's been giving unprompted hugs, kisses and saying "I love you." Even with the bad times, she really is the best.
Any others starting to get really nervous about the reality of a toddler and a newborn?

still in bold so just leaving it.
This is our first round of holidays in our home, so I'm excited to decorate a little! I'm not a huge holiday decorator because it all just equals clutter to me, but I love the idea of a wreath on the door, maybe a hanging plant, and some pumpkins!
Doing good! We moved DS from his crib into a toddler bed this week and, overall, it's going well so far. I'm having so much fun with my little buddy :-D

I think just taking it all in these next couple months.... We have some major changes coming up and I don't want to get so caught up in everything that I miss the awesome day-to-day things... I am thoroughly enjoying DS, this will be our last baby so I'm trying to take in all the things I enjoy about being pregnant, the holidays, etc
Rants/Raves/Questions:
Rant and Rave - I got the job!! Very excited but soooo conflicted. I've so very much enjoyed staying home with DS the last 10mths and it breaks my heart to go back to work and leave him, especially so close to having a new baby :-(

Not too horrible but I was also on a business trip Tuesday and Wednesday. Today she was sent home from daycare with pink eye. Tomorrow is my 3 hour glucose test and DH is working from home. So he will watch her during the test but then I'll have to watch her. I see lots of iPad time if I feel junky.

Bedtime. I've been sleeping like junk so I'm just looking forward to bedtime. That's sad.
Rants/Raves/Questions:
Idk if DD is getting pink eye so much from other kids at school...or because she's not washing her hands well enough during this potty training junk.
Rave: she's so close to being totally done with diapers/pull ups for the daytime. So so close.

She's definitely showing the "terrible twos" but it's so hard to tell what is normal and what should be of concern. I have immediate family members with mental illnesses and I'm always concerned about my kiddo. I just don't know where the line is. My mom said she knew when my brother was about 2 that there was something really wrong...but it took 14 more years before he was plunged into the mental health diagnosis world and he wasn't fully diagnosed until he was 22. I just worry.
Bonus Question: Do you decorate for the various seasons/occasions? Bonus points for pics!
I do for Halloween and Christmas! Smaller holidays have some stuff inside (mainly those obnoxious singing animals that DD loves). Nothing is up yet...DH doesn't allow it until October 1 for Halloween and thanksgiving for Christmas. Even with that, we are always the first in our neighborhood to decorate. Most people here are older / retired and do very little decorating.
