How many weeks? 29 weeks

What size is baby? Acorn Squash, Pineapple, Gallon of Milk

Upcoming appointments? Not until 10/4

Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm sort of amazed that I'm in the 3rd trimester and only have 11ish weeks until the baby is born. I mean it's almost Q4 and I'm having a baby Q4! This is probably all spurned on because I'm wrapping up my last business travel week. Since I'm hoping for a new non-travel position it's really hitting me that my life is going to change so so much.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Give me all the desserts! All I want to eat is candy and cheesecake. Probably not the best choices for me and BDub.

GTKY: What was your favorite TV show growing up? Any similarities to your favorite now? My favorite show when I was little was Muppet Babies. No clue why, but I loved it. Not too many similarities to the shows I watch now - except the drama from Miss Piggy definitely shows up in things like How to Get Away with Murder!

Upcoming appointments? None until 10/10. Waiting for GD testing results this week though!

Rants/Raves/Questions? I feel the need to pee constantly, then it's just a few drops....come on! I do love that I'm almost in the 3rd trimester and I'm so close to meeting this baby. Getting so excited!

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Aversions = Chipotle...just thinking about it makes me nauseous, but I usually love it. I crave Twix bars, ice cream, caramel apples...anything horribly sweet which is unlike me.

GTKY: What was your favorite TV show growing up? Any similarities to your favorite now? There were so many! Well I guess I'd say Saved By The Bell. I don't think there are many similarities to that and Game of Thrones or Walking Dead though....

GTKY: What was your favorite TV show growing up? Any similarities to your favorite now? I loved Saved By The Bell! Now, I love Grey's, Scandal, etc. Not much similarities!

How many weeks? 30 today. Ten to go!

What size is baby? A cantaloupe or a zucchini. Which makes zero sense to me.

Upcoming appointments? Checked in with the OB today, heartbeat was good and he finally gave me my GD test results - I was at 101, so all clear. I also broke the news that I'm switching practices, so I have a transfer appointment next week at the new one.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Man, the last couple weeks have started to get a little rough. Swelling, massive hormonal mood swings, bad hip pain...ugh. But, LO is so active and he's big enough that I can usually tell how he's positioned himself just by feeling around in my belly.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Anything ice cream related.

GTKY: What was your favorite TV show growing up? Any similarities to your favorite now? Oh, this is tough. Probably She-Ra. Not sure how that has similarities to current faves.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? MS and nausea as always, also rib pain on my right side. Love feeling the little baby kicks! My main craving right now is frozen limeades/lemonades with fruit add ins at Sonic. I think all the ice cuts down my nausea a lot, plus it's just been super hot here.

GTKY: What was your favorite TV show growing up? Any similarities to your favorite now? I loved Lizzie McGuire! Lol not similar to any of my faves now, I love Grey's Anatomy, the Walking Dead, and X Files.

How many weeks? 30 What size is baby? No idea Upcoming appointments? Every flipping week. Today's was the typical heart rate, BP, weight gain, ect. Rants/Raves/Questions? Umm I hate the every week app. It's 90 min round trip, and today it was 15 minutes from check-in until I was walking out the door.

Has anyone heard of Benedryl for anxiety? I am really hoping my doc misheard and thinks allergies instead of anxiety. Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? All food, nothing sounds good and I'm never hungry. GTKY: What was your favorite TV show growing up? Any similarities to your favorite now?

@Kate08Young I can't say that I've ever heard of a doctor suggesting Benadryl for anxiety. However, it knocks me out when I take it, so maybe that "sedative" affect is what they're hoping will help? Since it's an OTC med maybe they want you to try it before making a recommendation for a prescription medication? Just my guess.

Today marks the day that if Daisy were to be born, she would more than likely get to stay in our local hospital where my sister is a NICU nurse instead of being transferred! I'm praying she'll stay inside for at least 9 more weeks, but it's comforting to know.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
I am soooooooo sleepy! And emotional! And cranky! I also just want sour cream and onion chips. All. Day.

GTKY: What was your favorite TV show growing up? Any similarities to your favorite now?
I loved Boy Meets World! I feel like I learned some of my most important life lessons from Mr. Feeny. I still watch reruns of that and Gilmore Girls. Here lately, we've been really into Once Upon A Time...not exactly the same.

@Kate08Young I have a few students who have been told to take Benadryl for anxiety for the calming effect it has. That being said it's not well known in my experience and I haven't heard about it for an adult.

Rants/Raves/Questions? i'm tired all the time, I feel like shit, I have pelvic pain and have to pee a lot and now every time I eat I feel like puking because I have no space in my stomach. Lovely.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? see above. My aversion is chocolate ice cream Idk why.

GTKY: What was your favorite TV show growing up? Any similarities to your favorite now? my mom and aunt loved murder mystery and thriller shows, so I grew up watching Columbo and other mystery shows and still do. Love Criminal Minds, Law & Order and all those types of shows.

@Kate08Young I work for a substance abuse facility and although i've never heard of it being prescribed for anxiety, a lot of people coming off drugs take benadryl because it has similar effects of other opiates. Its very dangerous to take benadryl with other drugs, but I'm assuming you're not doing cocaine, meth or heroin lol. Make sure your current prescriptions dont have any adverse interactions with benadryl. Also, if you do get perscribed something for anxiety please check before taking benadryl for allergies with that medication. Benadryl is deadly to take with meds like Xanax.

Certain drugs interact with Benadryl and may cause problems. These include:

Other medications that contain diphenhydramine, including creams and gels
Alcohol
Diazepam (Valium), a benzodiazepine used to treat anxiety, seizures, and other conditions
Sedatives, sleeping pills, muscle relaxants, tranquilizers, and other drugs that are central nervous system depressants
Allergy medications
Anxiety medications, such as alprazolam (Xanax), lorazepam (Ativan), and temazepam (Restoril)
Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) used to treat depression.
Prescription pain medications

Upcoming appointments? Got the big glucose test on Monday. Luckily my midwife is letting me do the 50g meal an hour before. I'm still nervous though. I've...sort of got a serious sweet tooth.

Rants/Raves/Questions? When does 3rd tri start? Why does this have to be so confusing?! I only ask because a couple sources have said today, which I was super surprised about. I was planning on calling it next week, but then a couple other sources say 28 weeks!

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Allllll the peeing. What do you guys do? Just ignore it? Go every ten minutes and squeeze out three more drops? Also: BH (I guess), sciatic pain. No cravings, except maybe for...food..

GTKY: What was your favorite TV show growing up? Any similarities to your favorite now? I loved Full House and also Saved By the Bell. I really did love the Fuller House revival! But mostly no. I'm less into sitcoms and more into the award-winning stuff, like Breaking Bad, Mad Mad Men...though I do also love comedies like Jane the Virgin, Kimmy Schmidt, and 30 Rock.

@PensiveCrayon The mixed results are because there are different things people use to measure tris. Some go by actual time, some go by actual gestation (the -2 weeks/ovulation day), and some go by growth stages (I.e. When the last stage starts and they gain like .5 lbs a week) so I personally go by 27/28 weeks because it's time wise and everyone can *hopefully* follow that.

It means the hospital back home can take E in the NICU, but since I already transferred and had scares here everyone; OBs, parents, H and I all feel more comfortable staying near the better NICU.

Late to the party, stupid work travel

How many weeks? 28 weeks!

What size is baby? coconut! (or rollerblade)

Upcoming appointments? I had an appt today which was very normal, final bloodwork all looked good, no GD, baby is still measure a little small but that has been consistent throughout the pregnancy. She is super active and kicked the sound thingy while we were listening to the heartbeat. Gained three lbs in two weeks but I blame that also on eating like a piggy on work travel.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant: Ugh I have a sty in my eye. Also I had to take my engagement ring off because my fingers are a bit puffy.
Rave: Got our first presents from the registry delivered while I was away! So far we have a tub, a rubber ducky that tells if the water in said tub is too hot, and two pairs of pajamas. One of them has a little owl on the butt and is adorable

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I have no aversions and am eating everything. Sigh.

GTKY: What was your favorite TV show growing up? Any similarities to your favorite now? Loved She-Ra, Rainbow Brite, the Smurfs and Scooby Doo as a kid. Not a LOT of similarities to what I watch now! Oh I forgot Looney Tunes. They don't show it on t.v. anymore so I have some DVDs on my registry

I wouldn't want Baby Bells to grow up twisted from never seeing them.

What size is baby? Zucchini

Upcoming appointments? Had my 30 week and 3rd tri ultrasound. Everything looked great. DD is still measuring big like her sister. Estimated weight is 3lb 12oz.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Pelvic pressure, nausea, back pain, and of course peeing all the time. No cravings. Haven't had any the whole time.

GTKY: What was your favorite TV show growing up? Any similarities to your favorite now? Hmm...it's hard to say because we didn't have cable, and rarely watched tv. I did love watching Price is Right with my grandpa. My favorite shows now are all Criminal Intelligence related.
