One of my pregnancy symptoms is I'll go through this phase every few months of pregnancy where suddenly I'll just purchase something random and weird. A fleece dinosaur costume. A tube that you wave around and tie up into a lounge chair.
Anyone else? What have you purchased recently that, perhaps upon reflection, may have not have been... well... strictly necessary. Or useful. Or logical.

Re: Random Pregnancy Purchases
For real though, I need a pair, right?
I haven't made any weird purchases but that doesn't mean I haven't logged out of my husband's amazon just so he doesn't see what I've been browsing.
My problem is that I keep finding crafty things to add to my list. I'm pretty much done with sewing nursery stuff....so Right now I'm spending entirely too much time researching how to make my own hospital gown, nursing gowns, etc. Because I like making my life more difficult, obviously.
Another thing is that my husband really wants a video monitor. I don't think it's necessary but it's fine and it'll be one of our bigger splurges this pregnancy.
@lisa3379 That will be once we FINALLY get started on the room, which has not even been touched yet. I have ideas in my head, and once I have décor ideas... I can't stop! I want to buy stuff now, but know I need to wait until we at least know where in the room we're going to put the crib and dresser and can go from there. I have a goal of 10/31 to have what is in the room now cleaned out, and at least the crib/dresser put in place so I can do my thing. Hopefully sooner... cos that is forever away! It's mainly cos DH goes hunting in November, so he won't be around to help with that when he's gone for his little trips.
I can't say that I have bought anything off the wall yet. I bought some Halloween candy yesterday at Target, but I would have bought that regardless. *lol*

Nesting is so weird. I imagine it's what meth feels like: MUST NEST ALL THE TIME! MUST DO ALL THE THINGS!

I have stock piled yarn. Don't even have an idea for what type of project, just yarn with no patterns or plans. I could probably knit&crochet for 6 months and not be half done(not really, but close).

We've gotten some baby clothes, and I bought a pack of huggies wipes at Costco because they were on sale. And they came with a nemo wipes container! Lol! I also found a used (in awesome shape!) click connect jogging stroller for $75. DH was annoyed, thought I paid too much and wanted to just get a new one... Until he saw the prices of the new ones! Then he declared me a genius.
Most of my random spending is on food. I HAD to have kimchi last week, got some, ate one meal with it, and now it's sitting in my fridge.
I have a whole Amazon wish list, but holding out till after the baby shower. That I don't really want to have. But I convinced my mom that the only way Im doing it is if we don't do the games, I just want to eat and hang out. And this is our 3rd baby. I've been to about 8,000 baby showers in the last year. I'm done with the games.
JUST GIVE ME THE FOOD.
Last week I decided that I needed to buy each of our kids a new pillow. And three new mattress pads and some sheets... Boring I know... But pretty random. I also bought 4 basket/bins to store sheets in.
I can't tell if it's random purchases or my nesting kicking in... Probably nesting. When it hits I'm am moving beds, flipping mattresses, cleaning under appliances. I agree it's probably the closest thing I've experienced to some sort of drug reaction! Insane illogical obsession!
Due December 27th with baby #7
edited to add: @R0824H I have been loving the Babies R Us sale here too! The breastpump I want is $50 off and I'm going to get it today. Somehow I doubt that's all I'll buy....
Then we went to BRU and noticed our crib bedding was discontinued. We were really bummed until we found it in clearance for $60 (regular price was $189). So that was our second for baby purchase for the day/ever. We don't have a crib yet, but the boy has some bedding, hurrah!
@Austenista hooray for finally buying something!!!! I love our consignment sale, I think our JBF is coming up next weekend and I am hoping to make time to go and score some baby stuff on the cheap.
I'm also trying to justify upgrading to the iPhone 7 as a baby related expense. I'm going to need the better camera, right?
Save me from myself bumpies!!!

so anyways, I'm at the party store and I swear from 20 feet away I see a package of balloons. And they are hilarious "smiley worm" (aka something that looks sexual/look a lot like condom) balloons. And to top it off there was a white one in the package winking at me. I bought them. No shame. I can't wait to chase him around the house with it haha
I keep buying ridiculous non-essential baby stuff. For example, we do not have any nursery furniture yet but I spent >$100 on a custom monogram wall hanging. For above the crib that we don't have yet. I'm pretty sure my priorities are screwed up.
