I've felt this baby since implantation cramping and my uterus just aches all the time. Stretching feelings, dull aches, sharp pangs. I'm only 9 weeks and it's been like this the whole time. And no, I don't have twins. It's really painful but my doctor says everything is fine so hey--I guess I'm just feeling every little thing. Guess I have a lot more to look forward to.
This is not so much a symptom as an unfortunate side effect, but: MOSQUITOS. Y'all we know pregnancy attracts mosquitos, and I'm also an O blood type which also attracts them. It's been raining lately and they're everywhere. Even in my house sometimes (maybe coming through the screens?) And I think my skin is more sensitive lately because my welts are nickel to quarter sized when they bite me. I know there are deet-free products on the market, but do any of them work? Do any of you have experience with a natural repellent that works? What about those bracelets? I need something I can wear easily around the house or outside with the dog. I welcome your thoughts!
Still some bad nausea, but it hasn't been as horrible as it was with DD. I am beyond grateful for that. I am glad I had the horrible nausea the first time around. It makes me appreciate the bad nausea, because at least it isn't horrible. Also the nausea started to disappear at 10 weeks with DD. I am 9.5 weeks now so I am praying and praying I am almost done this time around too. My uterus, lower belly area has been a little tender since like 5 weeks. But, in the last few days it has gone to another level. Wearing pants is painful. Yesterday when my midwife was feeling my belly I thought I was going to cry. It was definitely the most painful part of my appointment yesterday, which included multiple things in the vagina and a prodding of my tender boobs. Some very happy news... I have been pooping so great the last few days! I told DH because I was so excited and then happily told my midwife yesterday as well. So, the horrible bloat has gone way down. But, now that the gassy/poopy bloat is down I am left with a very hard, tender belly. I know it is to early for a true bump at 9.5 weeks. But, it is a little weird. Definitely feels to me like how my small bump felt at about 14/15 weeks last time. And definitely just one baby in there. Perhaps my uterus is just an overachiever.

@mrsstuessy my DH has been hearing all about my pooping or non pooping habits too. Also, I'm 9w and its hurts to wear pants too. All tender and such. I've been wearing maxi skirts at work and sweatpants at home. Sorry you're in the same boat!
I'm getting really annoyed with the headaches. I don't remember having this many last time, but maybe I did and I just don't remember. I do know that the carpel tunnel is something I hadn't experienced before, so that's been really weird to deal with. I still have the other "usual" symptoms, but those two are the newest and so far most annoying.
ETA: In case y'all missed it in last weeks symptoms thread, I snissed myself over the weekend.
I think my hormone levels exploded this week. The tears have been flowing!!! I broke down Monday evening and just realized I need a break. Yesterday morning I called my mom in tears. She left work and came over to watch DS all day. I went to her house and slept. It was AMAZING. My first real break from DS in 16 months. I so needed it. But I have still been an emotional wreck.
And the nausea is exhausting. Seriously. I just want to feel normal again!!!
Ugh the headaches. I don't remember this from last time other than at the very end where my bp got a little high for a bit. I hate taking meds for them though so I usually just suffer through. They aren't unbearable or anything, just annoying and make me want to go take a nap.
Ok, the stretching tight feeling in my lower belly - I'm sure it's normal, but I am having trouble remembering what it felt like and how early last time. It's just weird and feels so tightly pulled especially at night time. if any of this makes sense?
Also, I want to nap...all day long. I had about a week of feeling good and not struggling to make it through the work day but the last couple days holy moly I feel exhausted by 8:30 am!
I dry heave a lot, it has only resulted in throwing up a few times. Other than that I just have weird pains all the time just like @HGRich mentioned. Couple dull aches and random stabbing pains. Go back to the doctor Monday night for my 8 week check up so it will be nice to be told in person everything is normal.
Anyone else feeling crampy this whole time? For the first few weeks I felt like I had full on time of the month cramps. Now the cramping feels more like I'm about to get my period in a few days. Everything looked great in the US, so I'm trying not to be worried.
@JessWannaEatEverything yes. I had massive cramping at implantation so that the doc told me it might be ectopic. It wasn't, thank God, but it lasted weeks. And it's faded quite a bit but I'm still feeling cramps and twinges every day. Dull and sharp in turn.
@JessWannaEatEverything I have mild cramps.. my doctor at my appointment yesterday said there's a lot of stretching moving and pulling going on down there so not to worry unless there's bleeding or it's so bad I can't function
@HGRich@HappyAnjel Thank you! I feel like every new symptom is a freak out moment in this pregnancy. Good to know others are going through the same stuff.
Not necessarily a pregnancy symptom, but I woke up yesterday with what I think is an awful sinus infection. I am so miserable with it, low energy, and it is hard to catch my breath. I was feeling so great the last few days with more energy and now I feel like I just took 10 steps back
I haven't thrown up this week and I even had a day or 2 of very minimal nausea!! Hallelujah! However, this fatigue is brutal...I have never been so tired in my life. I blame pregnancy...however, my allergies came on with a vengeance this week, so they could be partially to blame.
The nausea is back up from the slightly more relaxed nausea of the previous week. Le sob. I thought it was ending! Also headaches, some major er...digestion issues..., exhausted, insomnia, heartburn, stupidly emotional...are we having fun yet?! Haha. Week 12 for me tomorrow. Here's hoping thay means only one more week of this nonsense!
I am 9w1d today. Yesterday and the day before i had no symptoms however. Not even the normally ever present exhaustion. Today, i cant even walk three meters without being out of breath and slept through the day. Also have slight cramps, slight nausea, loss of appetite, but also craving sugary carbs. Weird. Boobs are still bigger but not sore..
Me: 35 year old FTM, a busy city banker living in London, and a constant worrier. My DH: French guy, car fanatic, best husband ever. Our baby boy: Due on 17 April, currently 37 weeks. I can't believe it - I made it to full term!!!! Last measurement: 3150 gs at 37+1! This is going to be a big baby
My nausea is FINALLY letting up and I'm so grateful for the break! I am now able to drink liquids again! Now I'm just dealing with lower back pain and headaches, but for me, it's so much better than dealing with nausea 24/7!
Ok so I talked about how I've cramped so far this pregnancy if I've been standing or walking too much. Just growing pains. But Friday night DH and I went to a concert and the standing, the dancing, and the rattling bass had me in so much pain by the end that I was a little worried. But no bleeding or anything so I'm sure I'm fine but wow! Anyone else feeling awful stretching pains and cramps after standing too long? I'm only just shy of ten weeks so it seems it shouldn't have worn me out that much without even a bump.
Aaand suddenly dealing with waking up when DS does around 3-5 am and just...being awake. Previous insomnia has been just a tough time initially going to sleep. :'(
@HGRich Your body is growing a human at an alarming rate right now. It takes a TON of energy, so while you may not have a bump yet, you'll get worn out quickly and easily. Go easy on yourself!
@HGRich For Labor Day weekend, we had the (brilliant) idea to go for a hike. A 9 mile hike. By the end of it, I was cramping so bad. I thought for sure that I was going to MC. But I've had 2 ultrasounds since and baby looks beautiful! Body is definitely working in overdrive. Along with it stretching and getting ready to expand, it may be your bodies way of telling you to take it easy!
@mamabear2015 and @KirstinH88 thank you. I think you're right. I spent all day resting up yesterday and felt a lot better. I think I need to not plan any other concerts right now. Ha. And yikes! A nine mile hike! I'm not surprised you felt awful.
Well, today I pooped in my pants just a little bit. So, that was a pretty low point for me. But, the nausea seems to be letting up a bit, so honestly, I will take pooping in my pants over that. Perhaps admitting that is an even lower point.
Also, yesterday DH, DD and I were in a parade. It is a HUGE deal where I am from, part of a big festival. Anyway, we were part of the float for DH's work. So, there was about 2 hours of standing around before the parade started and then a 2 mile parade, which I walked for most of and then we walked around afterward to get food and hang out. I was definitely feeling really crampy and blah after that. I told DH that my uterus hurt and that is probably more accurate than using the word cramps. It was really just a sore achy feeling. I am also 10 weeks and thought it was way to soon for that. Ugh, I am so excited for the other 3/4th of this pregnancy.

@mrsstuessy Hahaha!!! I'm not laughing at you, but hopefully I'm laughing with you. Sometimes I feel like that as well and have to rush to the bathroom.
Also, your explanation of uterus hurting vs cramping is perfect. I definitely feel that way if I'm standing for too long.
And yay! You're 1/4 of the way through!!!! And in my opinion, it's the worst 1/4 that is behind you!
Honestly in terms of symptoms, this weekend was a little disheartening. Friday I ate lunch a little earlier than usual and didn't snack as regularly as I have been (every 2-3 hrs), and by evening I felt more nauseous and awful than I have in a while. Saturday was pretty good (went to a football game so I was exhausted and very hot, but it was fun!!), but Sunday I woke up with the worst headache that never really went away. I didn't have any Tylenol on hand and didn't really think it would help anyway as it's probably allergy related.
So here's hoping this week is better for everyone!!
@mrsstuessy. Yes! I agree that that's a better description as that's exactly what I was talking about. Good to know I'm not alone! Also thank you for your honesty in sharing. I'm sorry that happened to you--I may be a ftm but I'm under no illusions that pregnancy is glamorous or easy so thank you for the reminder. Feel better!
@mrsstuessy I'm sorry that happened today but I think your honesty is amazing. I admit, last week I wasn't sure at all I could make it to the bathroom at work--I'm sure we'll all go through a couple close calls one way or another by the end of this!
I'm so jealous of everyone being able to poop--it seems like every other day I have difficulty. And the gas and bloating is insane right now. Still have the nausea, but not so bad most days and much more easier to deal with than everything else haha!
I kind of think maybe this was talked about already somewhere, so I'm so sorry if so but is anyone else having numbness or tingling? The last several days whenever I wake up from sleeping (whether it be a nap, middle of the night or in the morning for the day) my right side from basically the hip down feels kind of numb/tingly. What is this? As soon as I get up and move it's fine but it weirds me out a little. I plan on talking to my OB about it on Monday next week when I go but you all are a wealth of knowledge too!
