How many weeks?

26 weeks

What size is baby?

A bowling pin, a slow loris, a boule de pain, or a butternut squash. I know what 2 our of 4 of those things are.

Upcoming appointments?

Nothing for like 2.5 more weeks. Though I do have the paperwork to schedule my GD screening. I'll try to call on that this afternoon.

Rants/Raves/Questions?

None really. Super tired from waking up at the hiney crack of dawn to work out. But at least I feel all accomplished and crap. I will be reveling in that accomplishment when I pass out at 7:30pm tonight, leaving DH to deal with DD by himself.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?

I crave a lot of whole foods in general, which is good, and a lot of fruits and vegetables. I need to try to get more protein in my diet though. I'm mostly getting it through peanut butter and dairy products with maybe one meat a day.

Oh and I'm still in that stage where after dinner, I get nauseous from being all full of food. It's going to be like this until the baby drops. Blah.

ETA: My boobs are already leaking colostrum, which DD (21 mos) finds fascinating. DD still grabs my boobs a lot for comfort, and over the weekend, she started talking to them ("hi boob"), trying to squeeze the milk from them for fun, and putting headphones on them so they could listen to Elmo (I don't know what's wrong with my kid...).

Rhinoceroses!!! When I was little, my uncle was a head curator for a major zoo. So we always got to go back and pet a lot of the animals (birds, elephants, baby lions, water buffalot, etc). My absolute favorite was a baby rhino that would eat food out of your hand like a slobbery puppy. He was AWESOME. I've had a soft spot for them ever since.

How many weeks? 28 weeks - 3rd trimester time!

What size is baby? Couronne bread, tropical coconut, rollerblade (um... my rollerblades are bigger than my whole stomach area, so these must be kid size), Echidna (mammal), large eggplant

Upcoming appointments? Tomorrow, which I posted in the Appointment thread: U/S, Glucose and monthly check up. Wish me luck!

Rants/Raves/Questions? We start Lamaze tomorrow night! So, I will be spending most of the day at the hospital with appointments and then the 3-hour class. But, later this week, I have a mani and hair (cut and color) appointment scheduled... which both are MUCH needed. We also have maternity pics on Saturday, which I am somewhat excited for. 1) I wanted Fall colors, and they are hit or miss. depending on what tree you look at.. so that will suck. 2) It's suppose to rain... but hopefully won't happen until later in the day since they're at 10:30am. 3) I was hoping to be a bit bigger, but this was her only opening that worked with our schedule.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Swelling of my feet is in full swing. I wore booties last Friday to work without socks cos there was NO way I could add in socks. I may hit up a Clothes Mentor this week and look for some riding boots that are a half size bigger for cheap. I was going to wear boots for our pics, but know they will also be tight... and I already have wide feet! Oh, upper backaches, and the constant stuffy nose.

10.5 hours of sleep last night, yasssss.
Wrong dresser got delievered Saturday after waiting 2 weeks, laaame.

I just want everything I can't have.

Flamingos and giraffes, but I really like seeing all the animals except alligators and crocodiles. They give me a paralyzing fear. One reason I am 28 years old and haven't visited the south.

Husband has been stressed at work so hasn't been giving me the lovin' my needy self has wanted this week.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
Hemorrhoids (painful symptoms mostly gone but size hasn't changed at all ), and when I wake up in the morning my hands feel all pins and needly. They feel swollen but don't look it -- anyone else?

this isn't one animal per say- at the San Diego zoo they have an exhibit where each cheetah is paired up in their run with a dog "buddy". It's so neat to watch them- they're literally best friends cohabitating together... The zookeepers will come in with their dinner and they will both sit, jump, beg, etc until the dishes are down (kind of like my dog at home). Either that or I second koalas!

Rants/Raves/Questions? Baby-wearing mamas, when you go shopping...where do you put your LO when you have to go to the bathroom?

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? : Extremely tired. I thought I was adjusting to my BP meds, so I'm not sure if he is going through a growth spurt or it's the meds.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I have really ballooned.. like 40 pounds total.

I'm naturally having a bit of a hard time with this as I've been walking a good amount and eating pretty average. (Not gone crazy either way) At the end of the day, I love this little guy so much I'd gain 200 lbs if I had to and if it meant he'll be healthy. I'm just going to keep focusing on eating healthy and assume my body is doing what it needs for baby.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? The symptoms thread speaks volumes to me - swamp crotch has never been so fitting. I feel like I'm involuntarily peeing my pants quite often. I'm not a big underwear person in general and I finally caved and bought underwear other than thongs for the first time in years last week. Feels weird! The minute I lay down for bed my nose is completely stuffed regardless of the breathe right strip & Vicks on my nose. Therefore, I wake with a very dry and cold mouth. My energy has been great, so hopefully that doesn't taper off too quickly now that we're into the 3rd trimester. Cravings: Food in general.

GTKY (stolen from last week): What's your favorite zoo animal? I adore penguins! I could just watch them all day I think they're so cute. It's a bucket list item of mine to be able to pet one someday.

@dmontgo I got really good at holding DD's legs aside while I used public restrooms while wearing her. I don't know what's recommended, but...just go. I once got stuck for 16 hours with DD at JFK airport, and after seeing a rat running across the floor, I got pretty creative and limber to keep DD suspended!

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Can't sleep. I sleep like every other day, only because I'm so exhausted from not sleeping the night before. This congestion is killing me! I don't know if I'm getting sick...or if this congestion I've had since getting pregnant is just getting worse. My boobs started leaking...yeah I know it's normal...but wtf?! Baby B is crowding my lungs, which makes me cough, which makes me pee. I think I washed 3 times my normal amount of underwear this week. Ugh.

GTKY (stolen from last week): What's your favorite zoo animal? Oh man, I don't know...I kinda like them all lol. I like seeing the elephants, polar bears, tigers, monkeys, giraffes....my city has a pretty awesome zoo. And now I want to go to the zoo lol.

@brittnic86 - I feel you on the symptoms; though I think I just was ready for them this time around. I get pregnancy rhinitis, which is the congestion and runny nose, for the duration of my pregnancy. I did with DD too. Your mucus membranes are just super active, so every morning I deal with constant nose-blowing and nosebleeds. It will go away after delivery though. Oh and the first thing I do when I get home from work is change my underwear. DH does our laundry, and it must just look weird that I'm going through 14-21 pairs a week lol.

@LinziLoo09 yeah I knew about the congestion thing. Before my BFP I went home from work one day because I was so stuffed up and just felt awful. The congestion hasn't gone away...but I feel like it's been worse the last couple of days =/ It was the reason I couldn't sleep, I felt like I was drowning in snot.

Upcoming appointments? Had one today with my OB, just a checkup and got the TDap vaccine.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Ollie had hiccups last night that I truly felt for the first time. It was awesome but they were at 3am so sleep was...not good. OH WELL.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I let go of my pizza aversion over the weekend. It was DELICIOUS. But, now, I will eat anything. So. There ya go.

I want to add to my raves that... we put a deposit down on a daycare today!!

Every place I had contacted earlier this summer either never got back to me (seriously!), or had a wait list (common, I know) where they wouldn't know until a month before if they had an opening (again, probably common). One place finally opened up their enrollment to everyone since they hadn't filled all of their spots with existing clients, so DH and I went to tour it last week. The information we got covered all questions I had written down from various sites to ask, and the place was really nice (brand new building). So yay!! One less thing to worry about.

Upcoming appointments? Next week is my next regular appt. Had a surprise one this morning...

Rants/Raves/Questions? Baby gave me a scare this morning by not moving hardly at all last night and this morning (longer story in the 'Why my pregnant self is crying' thread). She ended up being fine, and I got to have my first NST.

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Nothing too crazy cravings wise this week. My hip has started hurting almost non-stop, so that's not fun. Really relying on that prenatal yoga and massage for some relief.

@LinziLoo09 I'm right there with you on feeling nauseous after dinner from being too full. I'm usually still hungry, but run out of room...

GTKY (stolen from last week): What's your favorite zoo animal? I always loved going to see the tropical birds! Maybe it was just because that exhibit was nice and warm

Rants/Raves/Questions? I honestly don't understand how I feel the urge to pee all the time. I can just finish, stand up, and feel the urge again! It is obnoxious!

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Baby kicks are definitely getting stronger. It was actually painful yesterday. I felt like a punching bag!

GTKY (stolen from last week): What's your favorite zoo animal? I really love elephants but they don't do much at the zoo. Watching the monkeys is much more entertaining.
