The aqua doula has rigid sides right? I didn't use a pool with either birth (I *may* this time but my friends used a kiddie pool for their HB and I think we would just borrow that). But I think I'd prefer the la bassine inflatable sides and it sounds like that one does an ok job of holding heat ok. One thing I do plan to do before the birth (whether I'm just showering or if I'm getting a pool) is to turn up the thermostat on our hot water heater a bit so that we have enough hot water.
