  • @isthisthereallife Hooray! IUI is such an emotional roller coaster before you even do the procedure. I'm so glad you can proceed. FX!

I'm sorry about all the BFNs. Lots of creepy Internet hugs to you! Take some time for yourself this weekend, and I second all the advice to visit the wine therapist. She's the best.
  • @Isthisthereallife Yay! So happy for you that the cycle didn't get cancelled! What a roller coaster of emotions! That's a nice thing to start the weekend, and probably the only time you'll look forward to a Monday lol
  • @Isthisthereallife oh I'm so happy you got the go ahead!!  Amazing!
  • So sorry to hear about all the BFNs.  Hoping the next cycle comes quickly and goes smoothly so that you are all able to try again.

@Isthisthereallife  So happy that you get to do the IUI and don't have to cancel another cycle!

  • @Isthisthereallife I am right with you for a Monday IUI!! FX and so many good vibes!!

Just left my CD11 ultrasound and I have 4 follicles, maybe 5 by then ready to go! I am triggering tonight with Monday morning IUI! I am so so happy that I responded to the 100mg of Clomid much better than the 50mg (only 1 last month) and the doctor was extremely pleased as well. Now it's time to keep the healthy dose of reality with optimism!

  • Good luck to you,cthomson34, I hope the two week wait flies by and ends with a BFP!
  • Welcome @cthompson34 and @raev121! FX for success!

@cthompson34 My DH also has low motility. I understand how hard it is to stay positive during the TWW, especially if the count at your IUI was low (I don't know if it was for you or not). I'm also with you on not wanting to jump right into IVF. Our RE encouraged 4 rounds of IUI. Are you seeing a urologist, too? Our first urologist appointment is in October. Good luck!!
  • Looking like September may not be possible for me any more! Did a scan today on CD17 and my two follicles are still way too small--they have no idea why and if this has been a problem during my previous 2 IUIs. Drew some labs to wait for the next steps..WHAT THE HECK?!

The trigger shot shall sit in my fridge until the big day
  • ugh @RaeV121 how frustrating!!! FX that the labs will maybe give you some answers soon!!

LoweeeK wow you have such great follies how exciting!  You ladies are off to a great start, best of luck!!

  • @Hopeful_mom Thank you! Yes, he's taking lots of vitamins (Like 7 a day, I'll have to look up the names), he's also taking Clomid every other day, and he is staying away from the bathtub. His job is very psychical so he loves soaking in the tub. We had no idea it was killing his counts. We don't have any frozen and are hoping his fresh can do the trip.

So excited for today! T - 1 hour until I leave work!

  • Good luck @Isthisthereallife and @LoweeeK! Rooting for you!
  • thank you @fivetimesnoluck and @skysong113!! rooting you you too @Isthisthereallife!!

everything went perfect this morning, as my RE said "I think the stars are aligned with this cycle." Ended up with 18mil post wash at 80% motility. FX!!

My blood draw for progesterone is a week from today. My RE said they don't supplement before that with IUIs because if you end up with a BFN, the supplements will only draw out your cycle longer. They only start to supplement if you have a BFP. Just curious if this is this consistent with everyone else?

  • @LoweeeK we will start progesterone 2 days after IUI because I usually O so late on my cycle that there wouldn't be time for implantation without it!
  • Hi everyone. Yesterday didn't go great. DH had 4mil initial and only 651,000 motile. We went ahead and did it cause we were there but I'm not feeling hopeful.

I feel like there was a mistake somewhere and he couldn't have had 37mil last month. How could it have dropped so much lower in a month? Either way, I'm feeling really down and convinced it will not work. :( Hope you're all having a better week.

  • I'm sorry, @isthisthereallife! I completely understand how you feel. We had a similar issue at my IUI last week. This probably won't make you feel better, but for me, knowing we probably have no chance this month has made the TWW much more relaxing. I'm sure it won't seem like that now. Anyway, I'll second the Pollyanna move and say I really hope the IUI works for you!

How does this compare to YH's original SA? Could this just be a one-time random thing?
  • Thank you @fivetimesnoluck & @Bababatty. His numbers have been getting increasingly better at every SA since his original. From 900 total, to 3mil to 6mil. It seems to have kinda leveled off.

Creepy internet hugs to you all ((hugs))

DH and I were on our long 8hr drive back home when the RE called. He wants us to do IVF moving forward. I'm waiting on a nurse to call me to schedule IVF orientation, so we can figure everything out and if we can afford to move forward at this point. Last night after we were home I had a breakdown and just felt so overwhelmed and couldn't stop crying. Thankfully DH just held me until I was good and then I got to talk to a friend for a while. I feel better today and am going to try to stay positive.

  • @JAD87 I'm so sorry for the crushing news :( It cannot be an easy thing to have to hear. I'm glad YH was so supportive, and that you got to vent to a friend. Fx that you can move forward with IVF.
  • Hi ladies! I've been trying to keep up with many of you in hoping to see some BFP.  As many know I was doing an IVF this cycle but my body did not cooperate at all only giving me one good follie, so here I am doing an IUI.  I'm late in the game but wanted to post when it was actually over. Whew, I'm super releaved as OH had champions this round.  From the previous months I posted he's 2/3 million and pre was 120 and post was 45, I'm hoping that's the trick and this could be the month please g-d!!! Ivf was very hard and upsetting I just have one follie not even two to try.  Just hoping it's my golden perfect egg.
ive had IUIs before and have to say I'm feeling a bit crampy.
@Isthisthereallife I'm sorry for the low count but it really only takes one!! We saw on our other board that some did have success so hang in there sweets!!
@JAH87 I totally understand how u feel and am here if u want to talk.  Ivf is tough but can have a great outcome too.  My first round I responded better but didn't have a sample day of ER and had to move on to round 2 which was torture and now I'm back here....so u really never kno.  Hang in there!

sorry to all bfn, big hugs!!
