9dpo. if you're not temping or being monitored by US then your period isn't truely late, if tests are negative then you are not pregnant at this time. Test weekly until your period shows or you get a positive test. If it has been over 60 days since your last period and it still hasn't arrived, and you are still getting negative tests, see your doctor. it is against the TOU to ask if you are pregnant, even in a roundabout way.

10dpo. What PP said. If you are not tracking to confirm ovulation then there is no surefire way of knowing when your period is here "on time" or not. Until you get a positive and have due date, I highly recommend the TTGP board. You can learn a lot from the ladies there. I also suggest lurking first to get a feel for how they maintain things.
What PP have said. And as an anecdote, my cycle was always 27-29 days for the 18 months after DD was born until the month we started TTC#2 when it was all of a sudden 37 days long just that cycle.
I echo what others have said. A word of advice, the TTGP board is great support for those TTC, but do not post this question there. It's against the TOU to even round about ask if you could be pregnant and it will not be received well at all.

I was just looking for your stories. I'm not asking you if I'm pregnant- that would be dumb. I've had two kids, it's not my first rodeo and I've been a bump member for 6 years. I've looked for threads about people's stories and didn't see them which is why i posted. I'll find support elsewhere, thanks.
I think the other ladies answered well. I usually have one or two cycles a year where I ovulate late and if I wasn't temping I would think my period was 10 days late.
But to answer your question I didn't get a positive HPT until 12 dpo.
Damn, should've qfp @artroyer your exact words were "I'm 5 days late and testing negative, is there still hope" i don't care what number rodeo it is, this isn't my first either and no matter how you read that it's asking if you could be pregnant. the reason you haven't seen similar threads is because they are against TOU if you're looking for rainbows and unicorn farts I suggest looking elsewhere

Im sorry, those weren't my exact words. Perhaps you shouldve read more closely before you started attacking. I edited to make it within your rules. I looked for a delete button but didnt see it. I wont be participating here. I can't believe this response. I will stick to my other birth months boards which were welcoming and positive. Good luck.
@artroyer not a single person here responded rudely to you. And those aren't "our" rule, those are the Bump rules for this forum. You can't even slightly vaguely ask if you are or could still be pregnant. Which is what you initially did and why you edited it. Don't get upset because you decided to post in a group without looking around first and reading the community rules.

Honestly all i wanted to ask was the one question. I elaborated because on my old boards we were friendly and open with each other. The rules have changed and I wasn't aware i was no longer able to share personal details about myself without being considered incompetent. Like i said, I'll get my support elsewhere and good luck to you ladies. If someone can delete this thread then please do because this isn't productive for anyone.
Every time I read ladies on here getting all annoyed with each other I I just don't get it. Why are there so many rules? Isn't this casual online conversation?
@lrwardrop I'm only going to respond in reference to this particular thread, but the roundabout asking if you're pregnant that people often do is literally against The Bump rules. They can and have closed threads quite frequently because of questions like that. It's not just some arbitrary rule that we decided we should enforce. So when someone makes a faux pas, it's pointed out so others can come across it and learn from it. People tend to take offense to being told that they made a mistake, and suddenly it seems like everyone is all annoyed.

@jatwal128 The entire thing was misconstrued from my original intent. As i said before, i would never ask the internet if I was pregnant. That's what you guys misconstrued because i shared additional information about myself. It's interesting that the rule includes "in a roundabout way" and that it's subjective to whoever's opinion. I'm so flabbergasted at how this turned out and can't believe it's turned into this. You even just said that you're making an example of me (...so others can come across it and learn from it). Again, not the kind of group I'm interested in. Can you kindly delete this thread?
I don't want to perpetuate anything that's against the rules, but I'll just say that I am a pregnancy test NUT! Thank goodness for the dollar store, because I take them all. the. time.
Just had my period? Why not take a test? Probably ovulating? Time to test! Already got a BFP? Better get 20 more tests just in case!
@artroyer it's not making an example out of you in a bad way. That's just how communities learn from each other. No big deal at all. Threads aren't able to be deleted. You'd have to ask an admin to delete it but from what I've seen it typically never happens.

I for one like the edited question in her post and I'm curious about the answers. It's interesting to see how many people test early or on time or way late.
I got my positive early for my first two peegnancies (11dpo and 9dpo) because I was temping and impatient. With #3 I wasn't temping yet because it was our first month trying. I didn't test until 15 dpo. The line was still sort of faint but I didn't need to squint or anything!
To answer why there are so many rules it's because before they had these rules (I was around then), people used to ask these questions all of the time. It clluttered up the boards. That said I think we as a group should try to remember not to pile on. When one person has informed a poster of a mistake we don't need 15 people to say the same thing. I think everyone was very nice, though, and there wasn't much piling on.

Me too. The amazon tests are so cheap it is fun to test early and often. For each pregnancy I have also done a test series after the positive to ensure the line darkened and that I'm still pregnant. Even 6w in if I have a less symptomatic day I'll test again.
At 9DPO I took one test in the morning, waited the 5 min and couldn't see anything and threw it away. The next day, I was taking the trash out and saw the negative test with a faint positive. Took another test and I saw a super faint line. Lines keep getting darker from there on.
I took at 8DPO with stark white BFN. Then I waited until 12DPO and got a faint line and freaked out (in a good way). Basically peed on things all day to see if it was real!
1. If you've been on TB for 5 years then you understand how annoying/frustrating these types of questions can be. If that wasn't your intention, okay fine, our bad (but your wording in your OP read differently. This is the Internet, after all, and tone is open for interpretation).
2. You've said twice that "you're done and you'll find support elsewhere", yet you keep coming back to respond. So if you want to stay and give support/get support, great! But can we stop hair flipping and GBCB (good bye cruel bump) then continuing to respond, because that screams drama llama to those of us who've been around a while.
**Not trying to break TOU.. Genuinely curious.
I'm usually the woman who manifest symptoms and usually test every month and then get my period. On time.
This was the one month I was so sure I WASNT PG but then AF didn't show up. I usually End AF on the 3/4 but that came and went.
BFP came August 5. Verification on the 9th. First sonagram will be on the 22.
Eeepp!!
Wait did you mean BFP came Sept 5? My LMP was Aug 4 and my due date is 5/11, so I thought that if you got a positive early August you'd be an April baby.
I had a similar experience to yours, though. I could feel my period coming on time but then all day it didn't come. Tested the next day (once my amazon order came in) and found out why the period didn't come!
I tested on 8dpo because I had lost my calendar and couldn't remember what day I was. After getting a bfn and driving myself crazy about what dpo it actually was I found my calendar. I tested in the afternoon the next day and got a positive!
At 10 dpo I had a faint faint line. By 12 dpo it was a def line im now 5 wks. Confirmation appt on monday. This will hopefully be our rainbow baby after our mc may 2 at 10 weeks. So anxious this go round.
@artroyer I don't see anything wrong with your question. I've always been curious to know how early someone got their BPF. To answer your question, I got my BPF at 11dpo and I confirmed again the day of my period.
6 days after my period was late based on my average day. My cycle ranges from 25-34 days with 29 being my average. I felt like my period was going to come on the early side. I took a test early on day 36 which was 9/9.
I'm actually not sure how many dpo I was. I temp to confirm ovulation, but I had a chemical pregnancy last month so my temps were all over the place this month and according to the ovulation date that fertility friend calculated for me, I was only 7 dpo when I had my first faint positive. I know this is too early, so I suspect it's wrong, but I can't figure out when I did either.
The last 3 pregnancies, I've gotten my BFP on 12 dpo. I've seen BFNs on 10 dpo every time and I hadn't tested on 11 dpo until this time. It was still negative but I felt like there was what looked almost like a line but not even a faint line. Sure enough 12 dpo turned it for me.
