How far along are you? 5 weeks

How big is baby? The size of an Appleseed

Upcoming appointments this week? Not yet, but I can hardly stand the wait.

Any new symptoms or changes? My boobs are sore, and I get dizzier and tired faster during workouts. I felt like a loser in my class this morning. I kept having to stop and take breaks through things that wouldn't normally affect me.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I had a hard time sleeping last night. On top of that, I feel nervous about not being able to have an ultrasound that shows a heartbeat yet. Last time, I lost my baby at almost 9 weeks, but it stopped growing at 5 weeks 6 days. Starting week 5 has made me very nervous.

GTKY- Who is someone who has been very influential in your life, and how has this person influenced you? There are so many, but as I've been missing my grandparents like crazy, I'll mention them. My grandma was so sweet and patient with me my whole life. She taught me to cook, sew, and clean. She told me that kids should never be upset in the mornings before school (when I vented about my dad to her). I hope I can be as good to my baby as she was to me. I should mention my parents were there too, but I spent a lot of time with my grandparents, especially while my mom and dad worked.

My grandpa showed me how important knowledge and an education are. He was always fair and demanded respect. He showed me you can be strong, but still love a pet like it's your baby. Both of them showed me how to love others before yourself.

Upcoming appointments this week? First beta is on Tuesday 9/20

Rants/Raves/Questions? We did an FET and the discharge instructions said no running for 2-3 days after the transfer. Transfer was well over a week ago so I should be able to resume running per their instructions. I'm signed up for a 5k on Saturday and called my nurse to get the ok to run it. I called her after hours on Wednesday and she hasn't called back yet. Grrrr. I've worked the last five months to lose 30lbs and begin running from basically nothing up to a 10k. My goal all summer was to run a 5k in under 30 minutes and I really think I can do that this weekend. So I'd really like to run, not walk. But I also want piece of mind that I'm not doing something wrong.

Yay! My ticker change! I may be a few days off due to when I ovulated but I'm going with my LMP of 8/5 (plus 2 weeks ago on Friday was my first BFP so Fridays feel like an anniversary

Nope... first prenatal isn't until the end of the month with nurse midwife. Appointment with OB/GYN not until the end of October

GTKY- Who is someone who has been very influential in your life, and how has this person influenced you?
Definitely my mom! She's just such a good person, funny, kind and generous. She did everything she could to put two daughters through college and never let us give up on our dreams. Now that her kids are grown, instead of feeling empty nested, she's made herself a new life -- going to boot camp, hiking, visiting old friends -- she has a more active social life than me! I love how she deals with changes with a positive attitude. I can only hope to be half as good a mom as she is ❤️

@MollyandDI have not had a miscarriage before, this is my first pregnant, but after reading everyone's stories, this is one of my biggest fears. I just want to know that baby is growing and thriving in there. It's so scary. Wishing you a healthy 9 (8 more) months!!

Hey ladies, happiest of Fridays to you

How far along are you? Erm, 4 weeks according to FF. EDD may change after my first appt...

How big is baby? Is this the poppy seed one? I dunno... Really tiny.

Upcoming appointments this week? I've had betas on Wednesday (517) and today (1150) so that looks good! Final beta is Monday morning, then my RE will schedule me for the first ultrasound. So freaking excited!

Any new symptoms or changes? Honestly, not really. Just been incredibly thirsty since Tuesday, and I've had a few times where I asked my H if he smelled something weird and he looked at me funny. So maybe getting some sensitivity to smells?

Rants/Raves/Questions? S/O to the phlebotomist who maimed me on Wednesday. I have a 1"x1" purple bruise inside my elbow that is so incredibly sore. Luckily it's cool enough out to wear long sleeves so people aren't constantly asking what I did to my arm...

GTKY- Who is someone who has been very influential in your life, and how has this person influenced you? I love both my parents, but I've always been my daddy's girl. He was always there when I was growing up- I remember him waking me up every morning to go to school when I was really little and being there for every single game or meet in high school. Now that I'm older, we're still so close. He is the strong, silent type who shows you his feelings instead of saying them. He's super smart, can fix anything, has the best, driest sense of humor, and I'm very proud when people say I'm just like my dad

@MollyandD I love what you say about your grandparents- it must have been really special to have them around when you were growing up. It seems like they were the stereotypical (<-not in a bad way) perfect grandparents, like in a children's story.
And at least you're still working out, even if you feel like a loser in your class! I don't even feel crappy (yet) and can't drag my butt out of bed to work out!

@oliveoil that's so cute about your mom and her new social life! My dad is doing the same thing, but my mom hasn't retired yet. He wants her to hurry up so they can do all this stuff together!

Any new symptoms or changes?: Still just have that "flu" feeling, and lower back pain

Rants/Raves/Questions?: I'm getting more and more nervous as it gets closer to my appointment

GTKY- Who is someone who has been very influential in your life, and how has this person influenced you?: So many, but I definitely wouldn't be the person I am today without my grandparents. I grew up down the street from them and was the oldest grandchild so we were always super close. I got to give the eulogy at my grandfather's funeral, which was such an honor because he meant so much to me. My husband and I actually lived with my grandmother for 5 years after my grandfather passed away while we saved for a house. Now that she is gone too, I realize how much of a blessing those 5 years were as well. They were the epitomy of good people. Just kind, generous, loving, funny, and amazing people. I try to emulate them in my daily life. We recently bought a house in the town I grew up in and our kids will get to be down the street from my parents as well!

Upcoming appointments this week? I have one next Thursday as a new patient. Even though it's still early I'm hoping they will do an ultrasound. Im so nervous though!

Any new symptoms or changes? So much bloat that I have to be in leggings by the end of the day. I did order 2 solid LLR leggings for this fall for the price of one! Yessss

How far along: 7 weeks. Babies are blueberries! Upcoming apts: we had our first US today and confirmed twins!! We were able to hear both heartbeats. Next apt is 10/5 No changes in symptoms really. Rants/raves. Holy h*ll, twins!! It hasn't quite set in yet, for now I'm thankful and relieved that everything is okay. Influential..I don't know, maybe my aunt. She's always been very independent and not afraid to voice her opinion, no matter whom she might offend lol. And she's always been there for me.

Happy Friday!

How far along are you? 7 weeks

How big is baby? Blueberry

Upcoming appointments this week? First ultrasound is Monday (9/19). Eeek so nervous!

Any new symptoms or changes? The morning sickness is pretty crappy this week, especially today. And my breasts are still pretty tender.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Just really anxious for my ultrasound. In May I went in for "normal" 10 week ultrasound and found out the baby had stopped growing at 6+3. I have more symptoms this time so I'm hoping that's a good sign.

GTKY- Who is someone who has been very influential in your life, and how has this person influenced you? Probably my aunt. She has always been a strong woman in my life and we are a lot alike. She taught me to be independent and to believe in myself.

Any new symptoms or changes? Insane headaches, but I don't know if that's new or not. I usually drown myself in robaxacet and advil at the first sign of pain so I'm not sure if they're worse, or if they're always like this and I just don't know it. Also extremely tired

Rants/Raves/Questions? I wish the classic pregnancy symptoms would kick in soon. My PGAL brain is panicking.

GTKY- Who is someone who has been very influential in your life, and how has this person influenced you? My best friend. She's had some really awful stuff happen to her and her family over the years and deals with all of it with strength and compassion, and with a smile on her face. She's taught me so much about getting things done instead of curling up and checking out when life gets rough.

Any new symptoms or changes? Starting to get bad heartburn (unexpected) and I been hotflashing all over the place.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Is anyone else as concerned about breastfeeding this early as I am lol

GTKY- Who is someone who has been very influential in your life, and how has this person influenced you? My older sister. We hated each other growing up cause we are so far apart. But she really is a 2nd mom. I suffer from bipolar and although my mom gets it. She isn't kind about trying g to understand like my sister does. Although she lives 500 miles away I already know she's gonna be my real lifeline thru this all.
