Exercise/Fitness Check-in 9/15

**Hi ladies! Just a reminder that ANYONE who is interested in staying fit and healthy for baby is welcome to jump into this check-in! Beginners are ABSOLUTELY welcome! We're just here to support each other, keep track of our goals, and ask/answer questions.**

  • 1.  What are your fitness and/or nutrition goals this week?  I'm pretty happy with my workout schedule the past week - got up early a few times and I FINALLY made it to the gym after work yesterday!  Woohoo! So I guess my goal this week is to work myself towards not eating all the things. I'm definitely feeling less nauseous than before, so my excuse to be constantly eating carbs is going away.  :D  (Confession: I just ate a donut so I'll have to start working on this goal tomorrow - HA!)

    2.  Any challenges to meeting your goals this past week?  Not really, just tired.

    3.  Rants/Raves/Questions:  I'd like to start looking into jogging strollers as ideally I'd love to get back to running post-baby (no marathons or anything, maybe up to 10K). Does anyone have any recommendations?  I started doing research online but I get so overwhelmed with the options!!

    4.  GTKY: Tell us about the best date you've ever been on! The one I remember most vividly is my first date with DH - I was working over the summer as a freshman orientation advisor/tour guide and he was my "practice student" so I could get ready to give tours.  We walked all over campus and held hands and he kissed my cheek at the end.  It was lovely.  <3

  • 1.  What are your fitness and/or nutrition goals this week?   My goal is to make it to work out once... just once! ugh

    2.  Any challenges to meeting your goals this past week?  I can not find the energy to get out of bed in the morning, and by afternoon i'm dead.

    3.  Rants/Raves/Questions:  I'm very crabby about my exercise routine. I use to work out every morning... so its just so frustrating 

    4.  GTKY: Tell us about the best date you've ever been on! Fiance and I went on a wine and bike tour just the two of us when we were in Niagara Falls this past summer. It was the best time we've ever had on a trip before. It was beautiful, we were semi active, and there was wine! :)

  • 1.  What are your fitness and/or nutrition goals this week?  To get off the couch.. maybe even go for a walk.. I used to be so active.. two long walks with my dog and take my daughter to the park everyday.. go hiking with friends... I've been so sick I have barely made it back and fourth to the bathroom.  Also I'd like to eat more fruits N veggies.. been living off carbs.

    2.  Any challenges to meeting your goals this past week?  So very sick.

    3.  Rants/Raves/Questions:  I had a whole hour of not feeling sick this morning.. made a plate of fruit.. my daughter knocked it off the table onto my dogs back .. so I ate carbs. :(

  • 1.  What are your fitness and/or nutrition goals this week?  
    Last week my goal was to get moving more than the week before...and I did! It was tough, but I made it a priority. My goal this week is to get outside to run a bit more....Mother Nature's cooperation is needed!


    2.  Any challenges to meeting your goals this past week?  
    I had several early morning meetings this week, so I had to do most of my workouts after work...and that is when I am completely drained and usually feeling the worst. I gave in to the bed one day, but the others I pushed through and ended up feeling better and more energized after.
    3.  Rants/Raves/Questions:  

    I hate to complain, but I miss running longer distances...my body just won't let me go very far without getting out of breath or wearing out. I am waiting for that magical 2nd trimester everyone keeps telling me about :)

    4.  GTKY: Tell us about the best date you've ever been on!

    I have 12 of them...last year for our first year of marriage my husband and I did a monthly date and did something new each month. We did things like the winery, arcade, ice skating, art fairs, etc. and it was so fun just getting out of our dinner/movie funk and experiencing new things.

    1.  What are your fitness and/or nutrition goals this week?  
    Another week of running 5 days. Also trying to get more fruits and veggies in. I have been really just craving carbs...it needs to stop!
    2.  Any challenges to meeting your goals this past week?  
    I had two doctors appointments and open house at work, so time and extra energy was a little tough to come by. I was able to get my runs in though. My house on the other hand is a disaster.
    3.  Rants/Raves/Questions:  
    I have a meeting for work this week in town, so I will probably do a run afterwards and change up the scenery a bit!
    4.  GTKY: Tell us about the best date you've ever been on!
    Does traveling count as a date? DH and I had a wonderful "date" taking the ferry to Sausalito from San Francisco and then running back across the Golden Gate Bridge.
  • @schef070911 I have a BOB and love it! I am trying to decide if I should get a double, but not sure if it is reasonable to expect that I can push a toddler and a baby.  Especially because it's really hilly around here!

    @beachmommy2b I love riding bikes around the Niagara region.  DH and I have been there three times. We love Niagara on the Lake!
