24 weeks. He's been kicking up a storm and DH FINALLY got to feel it happen.

Cereal. Which I haven't been able to have since I'm diabetic and it's killing me. Oh how I miss wonderful cereal to go with my eggs and turkey bacon.

Have you done anything this week to prepare for your baby's arrival? No, but I'm getting a little itchy to start making progress on the nursery. We still need at minimum a mattress, dresser, and rocker. I feel like once that stuff is in place, the I will feel more relaxed. Hopefully in the next two weeks we will get at least one of those things!
Rants / Raves / Concerns / Questions: I am actually feeling really good the last few days! Minimal nausea, got to go out on a date with my sweet guy, been powering through at work. I'm just hoping I can keep this up for a few weeks. Glad to hear I'm not the only one dealing with what I assume are Braxton hicks. Being a first time mom, I didn't know what to expect. Everyone kept telling me period cramps, but this feels less painful but more intense-like my uterus suddenly turns to lead. Like it gets very heavy and low. Anyone else?

Making infinitesimal progress on the nursery. I've been buying clothes and the few baby gear items we need.

Well, starting last Friday afternoon I had the sensation that I was leaking. It was weird. My underwear weren't damp or anything, it was just a weird feeling. It persisted all weekend so on Monday I googled it, freaked out, and called my OB, certain I was leaking amniotic fluid. They got me in for a quick exam same day, and everything is a-ok. No leaks or problems that they could see. It was the only time in my life I was looking forward to a pelvic exam. I am still getting the leaking sensation but am not freaking out about it.
When's your next appointment?
Early October - I forget the exact date. Just a regular office visit. Plus I need to do my glucose 1 hour test in the next few weeks.

Have you done anything this week to prepare for your baby's arrival? my focus this week has been potty training my almost 2 year old. She's doing great but man it's exhausting! We are doing no more diapers and going places commando and bring the potty. It is stressful!

22 weeks! His movements are a LOT stronger now, I'm loving it but also scared of how powerful it will become!

I've shared our registry with a couple of people so they can look at it and been kinda tweaking it (we're using Babylist). Other than that our nursery is still a dump, but once we get a crib in there I'm sure it will change.

HEARTBURN/SWOLLEN ANKLES/PUFFY FACE----- I hate it all. I saw a picture of myself the other day and I was just like WTF why does it look like I just drank a case of beer the night before????

Mmmmmmm so I love Waffle House. I love that you get the salty goodies and a big fat waffle to satisfy your sweet craving. Also cinnamon rolls.
Have you done anything this week to prepare for your baby's arrival? I set up an appointment to visit a child care center (tomorrow we go) and I've started to research what to put on our registry. I have got to get on this, so right now I'm going to go surf the board for the registry advice!

When's your next appointment? I have to schedule another anatomy scan to get the pictures they still need of the heart, so that will be within the next couple of weeks. My next office visit is October 14th.

It's parent-teacher conference week, so no. I'm barely making it. So tired.

All the usual complaints still apply. The bad symptoms just keep hanging around. Rave though is I have an awesome mom who cleaned my house for me this week to help out.

I love cereal, toast and jelly, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal with cranberries. I could keep going and going. Breakfast food is my favorite kind of food, but I actually prefer to have it for supper.
I remember with my last baby that my grandma came over and cleaned our house before we came home, it was the best 'gift' I have EVER received in my life. To come home to a clean house and be able to sit on the couch and hold baby without feeling guilty because dishes needed done or something. I WAS in tears then, full on crying and thanking my grandma for weeks!
