I'm only about 14 weeks, and my baby's heart rate was 160. The doctor says it's a girl, but my cravings tell me otherwise: spicy food all the time! What do you think?

I think heartbeat and cravings have zero actual relation to the sex of your child.
Unless you get an ultrasound to reveal the gender you can't know for sure. It can be fun to "bet" on what you think it will be based on old wives tales but they really don't tell you anything.

My b/g twins had almost identical heart rates my entire pregnancy. It caused issues towards then end when I needed to go in for frequent checks and the specialists didn't believe their heart rates were that similar and would hook me up to a machine all over again. Just hope for a healthy peanut at the a/s and maybe they'll also tell you the sex then.
My daughter had heart rates ranging from 125 all the way up to 165 at various points in my pregnancy, depending on whether she was asleep or having a dance party in there. I'm 99% sure she didn't go back and forth between male and female, just awake and not awake.
Re: Heard the Heartbeat
It is fun to guess with some of the old wives tales, but HR has nothing to do with the sex.
