Question about light bleeding

Lurker, here. I haven't posted in here before, but I'm due the 12th with DS2.

3 days ago I thought that my water had broken, and started spotting. I went to the hospital just in case to get checked out. After a bunch of tests and an ultrasound, they told me I had been peeing myself without knowing it. They sent me home.

3 days later I'm still bleeding. It's pink, and light like the 1st or 2nd day of my period would be. No mucus. Just some discharge, and the blood. Has anyone had this happen before? I never saw blood last pregnancy until I lost my mucus plug, then labor started within minutes.

    It sounds like normal spotting during the end of pregnancy. But if you are concerned I would continue to call your doctor.

    usually bright red blood is a cause for concern but brown/pink blood is normal. Sometimes light blood could mean your cervix is making the changes needed for delivery. But I'm not doctor so I would just call.

    With DD I had light blood with contractions. I was in active labor. I called my dr and he asked to go to the hospital...

    Thanks, ladies. Maybe I need to bother the doctor some more. This just seems strange to me. I did see online that a lot of women have spotting, then go into labor within a couple days. I'm just waiting.

    I have had spotting/bleeding before labor with all three kids. With this one (Miles) and the first (Evelyn) I had light bleeding and started having contractions 15-30 minutes later. With the second kid, labor began a few days later.

    Have you had a cervical check recently?  I had spotting for a day or so after one of mine, but that was a couple weeks back now, and I am still pregnant!  Also, happy EDD - it's mine, too!

    I am having some light spotting too, keeping an eye on it and going to call the doc if anything changes in the morning,
