Upcoming appointments? My weekly NST today and then my weekly appt every Thursday.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm with you on the insomnia! And if I sleep on my side, I get nauseous now!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I've been getting emotional and I've never been a crier!
GTKY: Are you having anyone come stay and help out at home after the baby comes? My husband will be home for the first two weeks plus my family lives super close and his family is 20 mins away. If we need/want help, we have quite a few family members already wanting to come and help.
What size is baby? Butternut squash or cabbage

Rants/Raves/Questions? INSOMNIA!! Hence why I started this at 230 am! Ugh I just want to sleep solid a few more times before our sons arrival!! I don't think that's too much to ask.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Bad gas pockets. But feeling pretty good besides lack of sleep. I have good days and uncomfy days. Still on a sweets kick.

from Saturday) I'm very lucky that my mom will be coming up from FL to stay with us for my maternity leave. My Dad will come up too just a little later since they have a dog and our dogs don't get along. Which bums me out. And I'm also lucky that my 26 yr old niece lives with us and she's so helpful now and she's looking forward to our sons arrival. She'll be watching him on Fridays as well once I go back to work. Plus my MIL will be around often too. So I definitely have a good support system! Thank goodness!!

Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave: I had a wonderful shower yesterday thrown by my best friends here. My aunt was able to come and she brought my grandfather for the weekend so it was good to visit with both of them!
Rant: I just want more sleep!! I have no problem sleeping all day but at night I struggle. Ughhhh

Rants/Raves/Questions? well my baby is trying to move down which I'm cool with but I'm now hungrier than I've ever been and GD is not helping me combat the hunger
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? anything baked apple is my craving, I apparently have an aversion to fish? My DH caught one with the kids Friday the smell was horrible I had to walk to Tim Hortons break my GD rules and drink and ice capp I couldn't take its. Also the smell of insulin is horrid

(Stole from Saturday) nope mY hubby and I have doea this 5 times before once he and his ex did it double the trouble so I think at this point if we can't take care of a baby we did something wrong in the last 10 years lol. My biggest concern is our 3 year old she has social anxiety and panic disorder I have a feeling she may go mommas suck again and I'm worried she may recess. My mom may come for 3 days but not for helping with the baby but taking care of Adeline and Russell while I have the baby.

What size is baby? mini-lop ear rabbit. Side note.... I really dislike rabbits... I mean they're cute to look at from afar, but I don't understand people that own them. The're nuts. I'm always afraid they'll bite me or freak out and scratch me with their razor claws when I pick them up or put them down. I'm just not a fan.
Upcoming appointments? Have a pee in the cup appt on Thurs. She MAY also check my cervix but not sure on that tbh.
Rants/Raves/Questions? rave: my bestie had her baby this weekend (in case you missed me saying that in a gazillion other posts over the weekend). I'm so excited but also a little terrified to see the exhaustion she's going through because, this time it'll be so real for me... unlike when she had her son and kids weren't on the radar quite yet.

(Stole from Saturday) DH will stay home for as long as he can (I'm hoping for 2 weeks)... but he doesn't get paternity leave so it'll be pulled from his PTO balance. I MIGHT see if my mom can stay and help too. She's offered, so I know she'll do it. I'm just not sure how comfortable I'll be with that. It just seems like such a vulnerable time and I'm not sure if I'll want anyone other than DH around.
My in-laws live close, but I'd kind of just prefer if they kept their distance while I'm recovering. I just can't with them.

Upcoming appointments? I had my weekly OB today, and my butt swab. It was kinda anticlimactic lol
Rants/Raves/Questions? I asked the doc about the DTAP and she said in Canada we're suppose to get a booster shot for that every 10 years, so if I haven't had my booster shot then yes they recommend getting it at my family doctor. So I'm waiting to get an appt for hubby and me (my mom has an appt for Wednesday) so we'll all get the shot just in case! I'm also still sick so she suggested I go to my family doctor to ensure it's not an infection - so I'm going to kill 2 birds with one stone.
Rave - my 3 friends I grew up with turned our potluck we do every 3 months into a surprise shower for me on Saturday. It was super sweet of them! They had balloons and cupcakes and we had our lunch like we normally would, but it was really nice. Funny my mom was trying to talk me out of going cause I was still sick but I didn't want to miss it and I was going stir crazy in the house.
Symtpoms/Cravings/Aversions? Lack of sleep like everyone else and just feeling really heavy. I made a peach cobbler on Saturday (easiest recipe ever!) and it's already gone and I'm seriously tempted to make another one!!

My hubby is taking his 2 weeks vacation when I go into labour, so he'll be home with me but he keeps calling it a vacation. I'm getting a tad worry about his reality shock that will be coming, even though I keep trying to warn him. My mom has offered to take her 2 weeks vacation as well when hubby goes back to work, but we're playing that one by ear cause neither one of us thinks I'll end up needing it. What she is doing though, that is super awesome, is she is making my freezer meals for me so at least I don't have to worry about that

Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm not sure how much longer I can work. I work on the weekends and yesterday was rough. It doesn't help that a bunch of people were totally faking their symptoms yesterday. I had to kneel on the floor next to patients multiple times yesterday and every time it was a struggle to get up. and all of it was faked. Fake seizure, fake stroke, fake trouble breathing. I don't think I have the tolerance or the stamina for this right now.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Pistachio muffins! I convinced myself to eat one this morning by telling myself it would help make the baby move around more for the nst.
GTKY: Are you having anyone come stay and help out at home after the baby comes? (Stole from Saturday) I'm not sure. With DD my mom stayed for a couple months, but she's working now. She works from home, but DD wants to play with her any time she is around, so she isn't able to work much while she's here. She's been helping out with DD during the pregnancy (she's really paranoid about me lifting her) so I've had quite a bit of help already from both her and MIL. I'm pretty done with having people around after all this "help," but we'll see. H is probably going to take only a couple of weeks off of work.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Well I just got a call from a coworker that I missed a surprise baby shower they had for me today so I'm feeling pretty awful about that.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? My symptoms are all over right now! Im really going to try and ignore any cravings and focus on feeding my body healthy food.

Other thoughts:
1- that's scary, to think that someone is actually having a serious issue. I'd be a little ragey if I found out they were faking... but maybe that's normal to you
2- you know these people better, I'm sure... but I think it would make me nervous that they might try to pulls something with me for not getting them what they're wanting out of the situation. Like, because I'm not as mobile and able to move/protect myself, they could see me as an easy target.
3- I'd pay to see the bad acting ones

Finally got my TDAP shot, and CVS got the flu shots in too so I killed two birds with one stone. Baby can officially come now. I'm ready when he is. Im still whiny and uncomfortable, but Im not swelling and my BP is good so I'm lucky compared to what many people are going through. The EPO pills make me a little nauseated.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions?
My friend ordered butter chicken at dinner the other night and it tasted so good to me. Then, my other friend made me curry. Since then, Ive craved Indian food even though it's typically my least favorite. My main symptom is pain when getting up from seated/lying down. Sometimes when I walk for long periods it feels like I have sprained a groin muscle.
GTKY: Are you having anyone come stay and help out at home after the baby comes? (Stole from Saturday) My mom is coming the week after the baby is born. She did that with my first son and helped a lot with cooking and gave me some opportunities to rest.
1st the ultrasound baby tried to karate chop the probe was angry around someone invading it's space. No new profile picture it's back is out and face is turned to my back. They did inform me the giant is 6.99lbs!I'm thinking I'm going to be pushing out a heavy weight champion at this rate. On top of that it has hair not a little hair a lot of hair.
Now NST was much more amusing the TOCO things would not stay still so my poor DH had to hold the heart meter well this babu decided it was not having that and literally pushed it foot on my husbands hand and kept kicking him they counted 75 movements in 25 minutes all it trying to get my Husband away from it. Made me laugh made me hurt but was worth every second.

I wish I could stop having aversions! I still can't cook anything because of the smell and even when I want something, it turns out I don't. For instance: I have wanted pasta with just simply salt and Parmesan cheese so I finally made it this afternoon. Enjoyed it while eating it but 5 minutes later was like 'nope!' Now I don't feel well and ice will be my dinner

Nope. I hate people in my space. My dh will be home for maybe a day or two but that's it. My mom will be helping out with dd #1- like getting her to and from school for a week or two and I'm sure she will be over, but I'd go crazy if someone actually stayed over my house.
@bnsmith85 Yeah, I'm used to the dramatics there. But I just feel like I have to take every complaint seriously. Even if someone complains of chest pain 20 times and it's nothing, the one time I don't believe them will be the time that there is something serious going on. So even though it is very frustrating sometimes, I have to evaluate everyone like they are being truthful unless I can tell otherwise.
Sometimes its it's really easy to tell though. Usually when someone is unconscious they don't peek at you with one eye to see what you are doing. I've always thought we should pick awards for best (or worst) dramatic performances
I usually feel pretty safe there. There are always deputies around, so I'm never alone with anyone. But since I've been obviously pregnant I've been assigned to the medical office much more often than going out to common areas where people are housed. But in an emergency I have to respond...And that's why my night was pretty busy last night.
