Military spouses & members?

It seems like we have a few in here. I'm curious-

What branch are you or your spouse in? 
Are you on Prime or Standard? Why? 


DH is Army. I'm on Standard because we're near a big city, the clinic my Prime PCM would be at is way overloaded, and the military hospitals I'd deliver at are 45+ minutes away without traffic.

    DH is in the Army... We have Prime although I'm honestly not really sure the reason he chose that one... although we live on base they don't have a hospital just a clinic so we get to do everything baby related on the civilian side THANK GOD because this clinic is a nightmare!!! I hate dealing with them and would not trust them to deliver my baby

    Hi! I was active Army for 9 Years but have been out for 5 (boy time flies!) DH is Army. Bc we live in the DMV area we are a part of John Hopkins US Family Health Plan.

    I'm not sure of the differences between Standard and Prime but JHUSFHP seems a bit more like prime - I need a referral to breath different. At the same time I get to pick my dr which is more like standard.. idk. I pay for a small fraction of some perscriptions but the benefits are supposed to be easier access to Hopkins drs? Idk...

    @vino831 I've never heard of JHUSFHP! That sounds like a crazy mashup of Standard and Prime, but if you get JH doctors that's awesome.
