where were you on 9/11, 15 years ago?
and on a lighter note, the NFL starts today! whether or not you are into football, it probably affects you some way! who's your team, what do you love about it or what do you hate about football season?
Re: Sunday Ticker Change 9/11
How big is baby? as long as a bundle of scallions and as large as a chuck roast.
How is pregnancy going and what's happening this week? yesterday was a pretty disabling day, running errands with DH was rough. I spent the evening alternating ice and heat on both the front and back of my pelvis
RRQ? I hate being pregnant. I love the life growing inside of me but I wish I could just be one of those glowing pregnant ladies you see in commercials. instead I turn into a moderately disabled and miserable shell of a person who can barely function.

where were you on 9/11, 15 years ago? I got up early that day, I was in 2nd year of post grad in college and had to get to an early class. I remember putting on the news, it was just moments after the first plane crashed and there was so much confusion. I watched as they filmed the south tower going down, and I was just stunned. I have no ties to NY or WTC but this still hit hard knowing our country was attacked so viciously.
and on a lighter note, the NFL starts today! whether or not you are into football, it probably affects you some way! who's your team, what do you love about it or what do you hate about football season? i'm not super into the NFL (prefer college) but DH is dominated by it. we have Red Zone which will be on all afternoon and he is essentially locked in for 8 hours every week for 4 months of the year. sometimes I can get him to pull himself away! I have to admit, watching Red Zone is pretty awesome compared to a full game.

How big is baby? Kale, butternut squash or a slow loris (which I googled and is very cute. I believe I will buy myself Eaton a plush version).
How is pregnancy going and what's happening this week? No appointments this week. The worst thing I'm experiencing really isn't all that bad, it's mostly just sore pelvis muscles in places where I didn't realize I had muscles like along the inside of the top of my thighs, my vagina, and right below my buttocks. It's like I've done some exercise I don't remember doing and now I'm sore. Kind of like I've been biking all over or something.

Rave: I ordered a blood pressure monitor to keep an eye on my BP at home. Last week I went to CVS to use their BP machine because I had kept a light headache since reintroducing animal products again and when I tested, I did not like the numbers at all. I went back to my plant-based diet on Tuesday night, headache went away completely, has not returned, and by the time the monitor showed up yesterday via Amazon my readings had greatly improved to back in the very normal range, thank goodness (I was going to call my doctor first thing Monday if they hadn't). I'm going to keep testing regularly now to keep an eye on things because my mother had pretty bad pre-eclampsia and swelled up all over like a balloon. I am hoping not to follow in her foot steps.
Rant: I really want my shoulder muscle to stop seizing up when I lay down at night. Sitting up immediately alleviates the pain, but I do not sleep sitting up. I didn't foresee that the effects of side-sleeping would be my biggest pregnancy complaint at this point, but I suppose if that's the worst, then I'm a lucky girl. My favorite chiropractor is still in GA, so I think I'm going to make an appt for the first weekend in October when I have my first baby shower nearby and treat myself to an adjustment that will hopefully help.

Where were you on 9/11, 15 years ago? In 10th grade French class, Madame had the t.v. on for us so we could follow along. I remember being scared and wondering if we were under attack all over the country and if we were about to be blown up too (I was 15).
Football: The only football I care about is this kind of football:
*Carli Lloyd scoring against Japan in the World Cup*
How big is baby? Kale or butternut squash
How is pregnancy going and what's happening this week? Eh, can't complain a whole lot. Nothing exciting this week, trying not go stress about my glucose test

where were you on 9/11, 15 years ago? I was in 5th grade. We had just gotten back in our room after art or some class like that and heard the news. We listened to the radio all day.
and on a lighter note, the NFL starts today! whether or not you are into football, it probably affects you some way! who's your team, what do you love about it or what do you hate about football season? My husband lives for football. He is currently making nachos for the games. Bears fan, but my husband has two fantasy teams so we will be watching every game probably.
How big is baby? Size of a bunch of kale
How is pregnancy going and what's happening this week? Just had my three hour glucose test done yesterday, so hopefully I can get the results of that tomorrow. (Stressing JUST a little about it.) Otherwise, no major issues, and Little Miss is moving a LOT now, which is always fun (unless she does it when I'm trying to sleep!) No more appointments until the 26th, though.
RRQ? Not so much a rant, but I need to get my DH to sit down with me and write out our wills. Not the most pleasant of conversational topics, but it needs to be done before she gets here.

Where were you on 9/11, 15 years ago? I was a sophomore in college at the time. My friend Michelle had called me to come to her room to check out the news before classes started (we lived in the same dorm, but not on the same floor.) Before we left for class, we saw a live feed of one of the planes crashing into the Twin Towers. Later that day classes were cancelled, and friends and I were walking back to the dorm from organic chemistry trying to figure out exactly what was going on. I remember there being lots of concern as we were hearing a lot of reports about the plane crash near Somerset, PA and everyone was wondering if something was going to happen closer to us (I went to the University of Pittsburgh, so that crash happened about an hour or so away from campus.) Very unsettling and not something I would want to live through again.
And on a lighter note, the NFL starts today! Whether or not you are into football, it probably affects you some way! Who's your team, what do you love about it or what do you hate about football season? DH and I aren't really big football people (we're the type that watch the Super Bowl for the commercials!) Our families are big Steelers fans, however, so I kind of follow them throughout the season. I was still in school for the Steelers' Super Bowl win in 2006 (I wasn't a perma-student, just a 6 year pharmacy major!), and campus was CRAZY after they won! Kind of cool to be able to say I was there for that.

Everything is going good. Nothing different to report.

My best friend threw me a sprinkle luncheon today at a nice restaurant with 12 of my closest family and friends. It was so nice seeing everyone and everyone was so generous with buying us diapers and some really beautiful gifts....we're really blessed

where were you on 9/11, 15 years ago? I had just gone over my boyfriend's (now husband) house before going to class (I was a sophomore in college). We ended up not going to class and just watching the news the whole day.
and on a lighter note, the NFL starts today! whether or not you are into football, it probably affects you some way! who's your team, what do you love about it or what do you hate about football season?
I am not a big fan of professional football at all. But I do love watching college football lol. I'm a Michigan State fan because my brother is an alumni so we always cheer for them and usually end up going to one game a season (although we're skipping this year
How big is baby? A cauliflower
How is pregnancy going and what's happening this week? Pretty well, though I kind of wish I could fast forward the next couple of months. Not much happening that's pregnancy related this week, though a friend of mine is giving me a guest pass to one of our local consignment sales. Hopefully, I'll be able to score some good deals.
RRQ? My rave is that we repainted the living area in our home...finally...I've hated the color for 8 years. My rant is that my back, shoulders, and legs are all super sore from the endeavor.

where were you on 9/11, 15 years ago? I was entering my senior year in college (I ended up going 6 years total as well @squiddy224). I'm pretty sure that I was at the gym when the first plane hit the north tower, and I didn't realize what had happened until I went to class that morning. Our teacher was running late, and everyone was wondering how long to give him before leaving. He came in, announced what happened, and canceled class. We later found out he'd been trying to contact his son, who worked in Manhattan at the time (he was thankfully safe). Our university cancelled classes for the remainder of the day, and I watched the news coverage with my sister and sorority sisters.
and on a lighter note, the NFL starts today! whether or not you are into football, it probably affects you some way! who's your team, what do you love about it or what do you hate about football season? I tend to follow players more than teams. I grew up in SEC country, so I tend to follow the SEC players (and their respective teams) that I liked watching while they played college ball. I watched the Cowboys vs. the Giants today just to see how Dak Prescott did, for example.
