Nothing major going on this weekend. DH is working tomorrow and we will probably hit up the local German fest and drink some beer. My goal is to limit myself to a beer. Ha! We will see how likely that is!
Sunday we have a 60th birthday party for DH's aunt. I'd also like to clean my closets, get a mani-pedi, take the dog to the dog park, buy some new jeans, clean the bathrooms, and get a haircut this weekend. If I can get 2-3 of these things on the list done I will be happy.
Oh! And football season is back. Stupid Bears will be on tv, so probably won't be able to watch my Packers, but I will follow them online on Sunday. I also think it's time for my first pumpkin spiced latte of the fall. Gonna try to make it a decafe. Sigh.
Happy Friday! @chloe97 have fun at German fest, sounds so fun.
I don't have a whole lot going on this week. We have dinner with friends Saturday night but other than that just the usual errands and house stuff. I want to try to hit the gym and start a swimming routine, which reminds me to call and find out the lane times. I hope everyone has a great weekend with lots of BD

@rainbowturtles I feel ya on the grumpiness. I woke up in a good mood and it's slowly gone down hill. I think it was low blood sugar, so hopefully the coffee + donut combo I just indulged in will help. @chloe97 I am on the pumpkin spice bandwagon! I try to get decaf too (boo)....but I love pumpkin anything, it's just been so hot here still that it feels weird having a PSL.
As for me, we are having a joint birthday dinner celebration for me and my mother in law tonight. I don't really feel like going but I am going to rally; I drink would make the night more bearable but I've given up alcohol for the time being so I can't even self-medicate. I have very little in common with my in laws and our visits never feel natural, and I feel like if I am ever allowed to be grumpy and complain, it is now because it is 'my' birthday thing.
Tomorrow I have an early u/s and also have little expectation for that. I am already over this cycle and haven't even O'd or had to do the TWW. Then, I think we are going over to see my older half brother's new baby. I've been putting it off, mainly because his wife is a whiney, lazy, narcissist. And she isn't very nice to her step kids (my brothers from his first marriage). But I bought the kid some clothes and I want to give them to them before he grows out of them. My other brother and his wife agreed to come along with DH and I so they can help us get out of there in under an hour.
Sunday, I want to go to the dog park and let our pup run around while it's still beautiful out. We may hit up a cider mill before going.
@chloe97 and @Aera11 I love PSL as well. It is still in the mid to high 90's here, so it is iced for me.
AFM - Football game is away tonight, so SD will be gone. We don't go to away games. Going for Thai with DH's coworker and wife and then they are coming over for wine and a few hands of Spades. Cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping on Saturday. DH leaves on Sunday for a work trip. I am going to set SD up with an online driver's permit course on Sunday, so hopefully I can hide in my room and read a good book. Nothing too exciting.

@Aera11 ugh, I'm sorry this cycle has been so frustrating! I'll keep my fingers crossed for the u/s, but if it isn't positive, I'm hopeful you can indulge in something fun over the weekend!
@chloe97 have fun at the German festival! I love Octoberfest that we do on the river here. Hope you have a great time! And yay for football's return!!
@brooklyngirl18 hope you enjoy your low-key weekend! I loved swimming when younger but have never gone back to it for exercise. I hope you enjoy the workout! Makes me want to look into our aquatic center to see what they offer...
@rainbowturtles here's to a better mood... Or if not, then I wish you lots of chocolate, wine, and/or sleep to possibly turn it around. Sometimes I just have to stew for a bit and try again another day.
As for me, as I wrote in the TWW page, today was IUI #2. It went well. DH and I have to drive 2.5 hours to a clinic that my RE had partnered with, so we just treat it like a little day trip. Had some lunch afterwards, took a walk on the riverfront and are headed home now. This weekend I'm really just looking forward to football. I'm a huge fan of both college and NFL and play in two fantasy leagues (CJ Anderson kicked off my season right last night!), so I'm excited about a few different games and we will keep working on the kitchen. I assume we will finish it eventually, but even though it's been over a month, I can't complain because DH has been working his ass off every night and it will really be awesome when it is done.

Found out yesterday I'll be losing my 1-2 weekend/month freight ship call . They are phasing into getting them into the travel clinic and not having us go out there--won't affect our finances too much, but I'll miss the weird (medical) things I see on those guys, hauling myself onto dangling scaffolding over water in the rain, etc. On the plus side, my weekends will be freed up immensely so maybe I can travel more for one of my other jobs.
Hitting my running store 2x for Saturday group run and their first official 5K Sunday morning. Cleaning. Hitting our local bar Sunday probably. Drink wine spritzers and pace myself, hee hee.
@NewMommyCoop I do hope you can have some peace and quiet this weekend. I'm sure it's difficult to have DH leave at this stage of the game. You're in my thoughts. xo

@fivetimesnoluck I do want to say all the luck and best wishes to you And it's nice that you make it into a day trip. I do that with my appointments in the city, too, and it's just so much more enjoyable!
We are going to Toronto for the day on Saturday. Going to go and tour a castle - Casa Loma and then go out to eat and walk around for a bit. Im excited to get away for a bit and have a change of scenery. Sunday is football ( yay glad to see so many other football fans) and I am making buffalo chicken stuffed peppers. The football food is almost as important as the game in my book.
@aera11 - good luck with in law and baby visits this wknd. @fivetimesnoluck That is great that you and DH can make a date out of the day. It sounds like fun. Praying this is your time! I am fortunate that my mom is going to come stay with me Sunday evening through Wednesday afternoon (she will be there with the dog during the day, so I don't have to drive 45 minutes home at lunch to let her out and then 45 minutes back to work). Also, our new couch is being delivered on Tuesday, so she will be there for that. My u/s showed no signs that my body has recognized the loss, so I am not expecting it anytime soon. I have another u/s next Friday. If there are still no signs, I am going to try a prescription cream that is supposed to cause uterine contractions. If I use it next Friday night, hopefully it will happen over the weekend.
@rainbowturtles Hoping you get different results than you expect, but you should treat yourself no matter what.

All you ladies sound so busy! As for me, today was the first payday of the school year so:
JK! More like paying all my bills since I haven't gotten paid in three weeks since my last summer check. But my in-laws are coming up from NJ for dinner out on Saturday, so that will be good. And of course, NFL Sunday being back always gets two very enthusiastic thumbs up from me (go Jets!).
And an extra special TGIF GL to @fivetimesnoluck. I'm glad you got to make a nice day trip out of it! I'll be keeping you and your DH in my thoughts.
@fivetimesnoluck I have CJ Anderson on my fantasy team as well!! I was very pleased when I woke up this morning to 27 points! Good luck this month! Hope this is it for you guys.
@amberruka there's no way I'm getting through that whole list this weekend, but I feel like if I write it down that I will be more likely too. I hope you get more free weekends with your work changing. Are you a Dr?
@aera11 Happy birthday!! I hope you are able to enjoy yourself tonight.
@NewMommyCoop I hope your able to enjoy some time to yourself!
Guys...I think I'm going crazy! I'm not even officially in the TWW and the BSC was on overload this morning. To the point I ordered an announcement shirt for our dog to wear in front of my husband in case I get a BFP this cycle. I mean in 34 months I've seen one BFP so of course I should go out and spend $$ I don't have on announcement materials...what the heck is wrong with me?! I think I'm just so excited to know I actually O'd and we were able to have good timing the rational part of my brain has turned to mush!
Anyway...this weekend is so low key I'm excited! Craft fair with my little sister tomorrow, church pot luck Sunday and then home to enjoy football...all of it, from 1pm til the Pats get over at midnight! DH used to work in the NFL so we are big football fanatics...the dog has to wear his lucky Patriots jersey, we have to have the menu planned, have lots of good beer in the fridge, etc. I LOVE football season
@amberruka good luck in your 5K!! @fivetimesnoluck FX for you, hoping this is your cycle!! Happy Birthday @Aera11 And I just wanted to send big hugs out to @DungeonTrollMel...noticed you've been a little quiet the last cpl days. Hope you're ok!

Ugh I'm sorry it hasn't happened yet @newmommycoop. Sending you hugs and I hope it happens soon. I'm glad your mom is coming. My mom was such a big help to me when I was going through it.
@SoonToBeMommaHowe it's okay, I bought a onesie (the shipping cost more than the onesie omggg) and a digital hpt for "announcement purposes", too. I do think your idea to have the dog wear the shirt is adorable! But I understand. It's a little hard to not feel over-eager or BSC. I had a small panic attack when I ordered it because I was scared I was jinxing things. But I try to just see it as positive thinking
eta: and speaking of positive thinking, I'm shaking off my grumpies. I can't count myself out yet
I am glad it is Friday. It has been a long week. I took half a day off from work today and spent it chilling with my dh. Tomorrow my best friend and I are going to check out a local winery. Sunday I am going to work my second job and get some hhousework done.
Thank you all for the birthday wishes! It was actually two weeks ago but we couldn't find a night that worked for me and my MIL. The night started out okay and my MIL was having a good time, which is what mattered most to me, but my FIL took it upon himself to cross a line about an old friendship of DH's and I was instantly pissed and in a bad mood. It's a long story but DH has a married couple he was really good friends with and over the years they've done stupid things to upset us or ruin things, and I've forgiven them over and over, but they messed up really big and ruined my wedding shower and I just wanted to be done with them. My father in law doesn't understand why I can't get over it. I am over it. But people like that will cause problems for the rest of their lives and right now, I have zero room for that in my life.
I've been busy busy busy with the first week of school! Today H and I came down to his parents house (an hour away) to hang out and do laundry because we have a picnic here (in 20 minutes now) and I needed to cook for it. So we figured we might as well do everything down here to get out of our own apartment. We each had a long week and just needed to do something different.
Tomorrow is football day! I'm going in the morning to see my adorable 5 year old godson play his game. And then going to my moms to watch the professional games and eat lasagna!

I am giving this weeknd the most that I can because next weekend my SIL and BIL are coming to visit with their 3 daughters, the most recent was born 3 days after I lost our baby. They don't know yet and I am not looking forward to spending several days in that situation. I know I am happy for them somewhere inside of me, I just cannot access it.
So, I spent the day smooching my husband and enjoying peaceful time with him. Tomorrow will hopefully be more of the same. This first week of teaching was chaotic and wonderful all at the same time. It was a welcome distraction, but 5 teachers in our building are pregnant, so I was ready for a couple days of not being around pregnant women.
@waitingforblueskies ugh going back to work is a catch 22 bc you want to get back into the routine, but the 5(!!!!) pregnant women are a constant reminder of what could have been. I feel your pain. Creepy internet hugs from me in my district to you.
@szwill86 I appreciate your internet hugs, not creepy at all.
I have enjoyed the distraction and have been spending my lunch hours working on other things rather than being in the lounge with all the pregnant women. I think that is best and I think they would totally understand if they knew.
