@soontobemommahowe - I think your O Day might be early today based on everything. It's possible to O up to 48 hours after a positive OPK. Depending on the timing of the positive relative to when you temp, this means the true temp rise seems to show up on the third day after the positive. Either way, you have great timing!
this WTO train is moving at a snails pace... I am CD16 and had an u/s and bloodwork this morning. There is finally progress; estrogen shot up from 237 to 757 and there are three almost mature follicles on my right. I go back tomorrow and will trigger tomorrow night if all looks good.
I've missed so much in the last couple of days! It's so hard for me to participate in WTO sometimes because I have a later O (CD18-20 if it's 'normal' that month) and I tend to get stressed out with the 'waiting' part. I am convinced that two cycles ago I delayed my ovulation with how stressed out I was about when I was going to O (I saw my LH start to rise and then fall again, before finally going peak a week later). Of course that was my first cycle TTCAL so that could have something to do with it!
Last cycle I took a much more relaxed approach. I didn't start my OPKs until after I had EWCM so that I knew my body was already on the right track. I think I'm going to try that again this time as well. But I'm also going to try to be around more to hang out with you ladies because I appreciate you all and want you to know I'm here for you and rooting for you!

Hey @BitterBetty12 I ovulate late too! Usually around day 19, so we are in the same boat
i am currently on CD7 so still have a while to go and it seems forever! this is my first cycle TTC after some months on the bench, and the wait is so long.

Dear ladies: about OPK-s I am trying to find them here in Chile, I see some drugstores have the clear blue ones (pretty expensive! oh well).
A silly question: do you use them the same way you do pregnancy tests? You have to use them for several days? Is it a pack per cycle? (10 tests).
I see on the clearblue websites that they have other monitors for fertility as well, have you tried any of those?
thanks!

@yolandamunoz You use them multiple days in a row to make sure you catch your +, and then once it's + you'll typically ovulate anywhere within 12-48 hours. Usually the box will have you start testing 6ish days before your 'typical' O (and it bases the start time off of your normal cycle length, and the assumption that you have a 14 day LP). It's tough with more expensive tests because for me to catch my surge I actually have to test 2-3 times per day (my surge is short and typically happens in the afternoon or at night). With the clearblue ones I would assume you would want to test once a day, most likely in the early afternoon (but I'm not positive because I've never used them)! I have used the clearblue advanced digital. Those are even more expensive, but a big pack can last you a few months because they're meant to be used only once a day first thing in the morning (unlike most OPKs that are best when used in the afternoon). They give you a heads up that FW is coming with a blinking smile that means your estrogen is increasing, and then a solid smile means it deleted your LH surge!

CD17 and I have THREE mature follicles, woohoo! that seriously felt like forever. Five u/s in one week, yikes. I give my Ovidrel trigger tonight and then BD tomorrow & Tuesday (we did today and yesterday for good measure). Have any of you done progesterone suppositories or gel injections? I have to start either one of those on Friday. The nurse did have to go over if there's too many babies (I don't really think that will be an issue, I feel like I can barely have one)...but I had to listen and it sounds horrible, so hopefully only the three are mature and no more.
Good Luck @Aera11 !! I will do a medicated cycle my following cycle, starting October 4th with Femara and u/s to check for follicles. Then after I ovulate I will have to take progesterone (I don't know in what form) to strengthen my Lutheal phase.
So far I've had 11 to 13 days LP so hopefully it is a good sign.
i am nervous not knowing how much this cycle follow up is going to cost, and so I don't know for how long can we do it. I don't think it is covered by insurance.

I haven't participated in this thread yet because I'm supposed to be beched but I've been thinking about possibly trying and also wondering to myself if that is a very bad idea lol. I'm 3 weeks post D&C and I just found out that my betas have dropped to 8. I feel like I am ovulating and have had ewcm but I haven't been charting or using ovulation tests since we were waiting for my first period. So I know this could just be O symptoms without an actual O.
Has anyone ovulated post D&C with HCG still in your system?
I wish there was better research on the actual risk of trying immediately post D&C. I know the risk is different for everyone and I would hope that my body would only get pregnant if it was ready but I fear another MC if I do get pregnant without being ready. I know the smart thing to do is wait one cycle but part of me really doesn't want to. Why is this all so hard???
Can anyone relate? I feel slightly crazy lately and just needed to write this all out.
Hey girl, I had a D&C in May, a cervical surgery in June, and I was ovulating by July. We TTC July and August and ovulated both months and nothing as far as pregnancy, we are now on our 3rd cycle post D&C/other surgery, and I have flashing smileys on the Clearblue ovulation tests.
*TW - child mentioned* I also had a miscarriage at around 8 weeks back in 2014, and conceived my now 2.5 year old son the VERY NEXT cycle. So there is hope.
My advice is to really just search your heart. If you feel ready emotionally and if it would help you to feel like your'e trying, then go for it. If you feel like it will damage you emotionally then hold off. I know for me, feeling like I'm trying makes me feel better. But I'm also on a time clock now, as they are going to do a full hysterectomy on me very soon if I do not conceive.
CD 12, and this is now my 3rd day of flashing smileys on the Clearblue ovulation tests. I'm just so impatient for the static smiley. Been HIO every single day. Fingers crossed. Only 2-3 months now before they want to go ahead with the hysterectomy.
I feel like I can finally join this thread now that I got my first period following my D & C. Took a little over 5 weeks!
This cycle we aren't using my RE bc she doesn't want to start treatment until the 2nd period. Who knows....maybe this will be our month and we won't even need her!
I am really trying to be more positive. When I got pregnant with my angel baby it was after the first month of Femara + IUI. I was soooo negative the entire time. I kept saying how it wasn't going to work and this and that. After my loss though I realized JUST how negative I was and how that actually makes my husband feel. So I am working on it.
Hey @brooklyngirl18 that's great! I am just about to finish my AF so there!

Hey guys! I'm back over here. Cd4 for me. We are doing clomid 75mg with and IUI most likely cd14 based on how things went last cycle. I feel like knowing specific days helps this part move so much faster and then not having to wait 3 days for a temp rise to confirm makes the tww seem much longer.
I'm going to be a terrible WTO buddy. I'm not temping or using any OPKs since everything is induced for us and it will help keep my stress down. Good luck ladies!!

@DungeonTrollMel I am still temping but no OPK's for me and holy crap, what a relief. I feel like the stress and anticipation of POAS every morning AND taking my temp was wearing on me. Even if nothing happens this round for me, there is less BSC and stress.
@Aera11 temping actually creates more stress then POAS for me. I am a terrible sleeping so I will obsessively check the clock 10 times in the middle of the night worried about missing temp time or wake up because I'm so worried it won't go up or down accordingly. Dropping temping is the biggest stress relief

@DungeonTrollMel that's good! we seriously have to do whatever is best to keep our sanity I usually take a melatonin every other night to ensure I stay in a good sleep pattern, but my RE said not to stress too much about making sure I am temping at the exact same time each morning.
@DungeonTrollMel FX for you! I'm jealous that you're dropping temping and opk. I feel like as every month goes by I'm getting more and more obsessed and it's definitely messing up my sleep patterns. The nights leading up to O and tww I am tossing and turning all night when normally I sleep like a bear hibernating.

I'm back here, CD1. Had a weird 15 day LP that messed with my head a bit but so be it!
Positives are: I had more cm (specifically EWCM) than usual last cycle and I think it's from the Feminine Balance tea I started using. Also, my boobs didn't start hurting until 7dpo instead of right after O. It was also the first time I turned a positive OPK. So I'm hoping all these things mean my hormones are regulating better. I also was able to get that big stitch removed from under my skin so that is over with and won't cause problems in the future and I should be healed up by my FW!
Things I need to do: order more of that tea, and I think I'll add ubiquinol to the mix if it's not too expensive.
I'm going to possibly go get a conditioning treatment from my hair stylist and discuss color options as sort of my "treat myself".
@rainbowturtles Sorry for CD1, but I love the plans and the optimism! I'm super upset with myself because I'm CD10 (or 9, I can't remember) and I've only had 1 cup of my tea! Going back to work has messed with my tea drinking schedule!

Oh no @BitterBetty12 ! It can be hard to get into a new routine sometimes. Would it help if you made some the night before and put it in a thermos or something?? I don't mind mine cold so sometimes I make a pot and put it in a big juice container in the fridge (it's recommended I drink 2-4 cups per day so obviously I drink 4 because I'm an over achiever haha )
I looked at ubiquinol at one place today and dayummm that stuff's kinda pricey! I'll be doing some googling but if any of you take it and care to answer, how much do you take daily (my)? Do you get it in pill form? Is there a cheap variety out there? TIA
PS: AF hasn't fully started so now I'm kind of annoyed I had some spotting this morning and then nothing all day but I had a temp drop so I know it's on it's way and would like to just get it over with already, thanks!!!!
@rainbowturtles Do you get Amazon in Canada? I buy mine off of there. It's the ONLY supplement that most REs consistently recommend (besides prenatals), so I take it religiously. It supposedly improves egg quality and that's what I need help with. I take 600 ubiquinol or 200 ubiquinone, which apparently absorbs better? My RE said up to 600 mgs was a good dose. Not sure if it would be lower if I were younger?
Ubiquinol is the one that's more bioavailable so you would need less in comparison to ubiquinone (CoQ10), but it's also why it's a bit pricier. Googling itself is showing me mixed results for dosages (it might be higher for those doing IVF) so I'll also try googling within the Bump lol I do wonder if there's any benefit to taking it continuously or if it could be taken just in the FP since it's for egg health?? Also, from what I gather, if you're over 40 you basically MUST take ubiquinol (if considering a CoQ10 supplement) because your body won't process ubiquinone, but that if you're over 25 it is still recommended you take ubiquinol (if considering supplementing with CoQ10). I haven't found anything about dosage differences based on age but I think I'm only a couple years younger than you anyways
Sorry! I always mix this 2 up- yes 200mg of ubiquinol or 600 mgs of ubiquinone. You actually have to take it for 3 months to be effective since it take 3 months for the oogenisis process to work. I'm wondering if it's months or cycles? That part I'm also confused about. Anyway, I would get some and start taking it now just in case.
I'm sorry about CD 1, @rainbowturtles. My doc recommended Ubiquinol and while I think the dose was one, I take two every morning. Also was told 3 months before effective.
Officially off the bench... CD2. I am a bit concerned that my last cycle was only 24 days, hoping it had something to do with the cytotec or hysteroscopy I had at the beginning of the month. Definitely ready to start trying again after being on the bench for almost 3 months. Started temping for the first time this last Monday. So far so good.

Yayyy congrats on being off the bench @stephann85 and wishing you all the luck
Thanks for your help @chloe97 and @fivetimesnoluck The issue for me with Amazon is that I have to buy Amazon gift cards and then sometimes there is horrendous shipping because...Canada lol But from what I saw yesterday and what I'm seeing on Amazon I can get 60 200mg pills for around $60, so essentially $30/month. I've also seen this magical "3 months" number for several supplements including prenatals and Vitex. I'd really like to know the science behind it, though. I know sperm take 3 months to generate but I'm not sure why it would take 3 months for ubiquinol (or other things) 3 months to "rejuvenate" our eggs lol If anyone wants to drop some science on me, I'm all ears

I am trying to find them here in Chile, I see some drugstores have the clear blue ones (pretty expensive! oh well).
A silly question: do you use them the same way you do pregnancy tests? You have to use them for several days? Is it a pack per cycle? (10 tests).
I see on the clearblue websites that they have other monitors for fertility as well, have you tried any of those?
thanks!

So far I've had 11 to 13 days LP so hopefully it is a good sign.
i am nervous not knowing how much this cycle follow up is going to cost, and so I don't know for how long can we do it. I don't think it is covered by insurance.

Hope this novel helped you! *HUGS*

I am temping, and have been temping throughout this whole process, it doesn't stress me out, thank goodness.
Next cycle we will do a medicated cycle with Femara, but this cycle we are trying "naturally" and so I wanted to use an OPK to help things happen... I hope I learn to use it properly!!
Any tips appreciated

Ready to get reacquainted with my WTO ladies

I looked at ubiquinol at one place today and dayummm that stuff's kinda pricey! I'll be doing some googling but if any of you take it and care to answer, how much do you take daily (my)? Do you get it in pill form? Is there a cheap variety out there? TIA
PS: AF hasn't fully started so now I'm kind of annoyed
Also, from what I gather, if you're over 40 you basically MUST take ubiquinol (if considering a CoQ10 supplement) because your body won't process ubiquinone, but that if you're over 25 it is still recommended you take ubiquinol (if considering supplementing with CoQ10). I haven't found anything about dosage differences based on age but I think I'm only a couple years younger than you anyways
