Sudden nipple pain while nursing

All of a sudden nursing is extremely painful for my right nipple. I've never had a problem before and I'm not sure what's causing it. My left side is fine but when LO nurses on the right it feels like a knife cutting through a sore wound. What could be causing this??? I don't think I have any clogged ducts and I don't see any wounds on my nipple...

    Are you ovulating or on your period? Sometimes these hormonal shifts can cause nipple pain while breastfeeding

    Oct 15 lurker.... I had stabbing pain (after nursing) for about a week before a little block showed up, which is now a blister. It's taken over half my nipple right now and is so painful! I'm kind of at a loss for what to do. Just keeping checking for a clog I guess. It's so frustrating to be so close to my one year goal and have this now.  :/

    Yeah I think I might have had a little blister type thing. there was a white patch of skin but it didn't look anything like a blister or pimple type thing. But I picked it off and there was a little hole, it healed up and now it's better!!
