Upcoming appointments? none this week, but had two last week. the spots in Baby's abdomen are gone and my cervix gained a few millimeters. I'm still on progesterone but am off strict bed rest, just supposed to limit what I do throughout the day. But I still cant work because of my job. She said it would be different if I had a desk job, but I definitely dont!
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm feeling a lot more of Baby stretching against my belly instead of just the little jabs. Its weird!
Symptoms? Just a lot of pressure all over my belly and lower. I'm allowed up more now, so I'm trying to ease back into sitting and walking around the house more. Hopefully some of the pressure will go away as my muscles come back after being on pretty strict bed rest.
GTKY: what do you do for a living? What are your plans when LO comes regarding work? I teach a special ed kindergarten class. All my students have autism. Most of the time its a lot of fun and I work with some wonderful people who have really stepped up this year. (I was put on bed rest on the second day of this school year! I will most likely be out until I deliver.) I'm not sure yet what I will do after she's here. It will depend on how early she is and how much time in the NICU she might need. Before all this happened, I was planning to take 8 weeks off, then return full time.
Is any one else in this Saturday group a teacher? Would your district allow you to go back part time? I know some of our OTs and SLPs have returned part time, but I dont know if HR will let me do that as a teacher. They can't even find a long term sub to agree to take my class and its been almost three weeks.

We are paying for a 3D ultrasound on Tuesday, it's our last baby! We paid for one with DD 1 when the technology was relatively new 10 yrs ago. When we had DD 2, the anatomy scan included 3D. So I really want to see our little guy, and so does DH, DDs are coming with to see! I'm so excited

I definitely have split stomach muscles, and my belly button is herniated. My stomach aches now with any activity, which sucks because I take care of the entire house. My shower needs the caulking replaced, I'm not sure how I'm going to do it.
But I just found out I passed my glucose test, so that's great! I now want everything sweet, doughnuts, pastries, scones, elephant ears, I want to eat it all!

I'm pretty sure I'm getting a yeast infection from the glucose. Achy stomach muscles, pelvic swelling, hemerroids, breathlessness, and exhaustion. I'm just a ball of fun these days.

Technically, I'm a special education teacher, resource room. I graduated in 2014, opened a daycare/preschool in home while TTC and DD was preschool age. Closed it in December, TTC wasn't working and DD starts kindergarten on Monday. So I applied for jobs, had 3 interviews lined up in 1 week, then found out we were expecting a few days before the interviews. I cancelled, told them I'd be back in a few years! The districts were all really understanding. But in the meantime, if I don't use my knowledge, I'm going to forget everything. So I'm planning on starting an online masters program while I stay at home with Lucas. It's a 1 yr program, so I thought I'd start around the spring time when I'm adjusted to having 3 kids. Unless DH suddenly thinks I should just be a SAHM forever, in which case I gladly will. I'm the main parent, he travels a lot, and I'm also the maid, and the cook. It's a full time job. But I'll end up going back to work part-time in a couple years (and our house will slowly turn into a disaster zone).

Rants/Raves/Questions? DH has an interview at a new church on Wednesday! He's made it to the third round. So. Excited.
Symptoms? My sciatica is making me want to tear my hair out. I'm supposed to be getting a referral to a PT soon, so all of my fingers are crossed that it helps. I'm also currently hungry for the entire day but don't want to eat anything at our house. So I'm watching Man vs Food instead. Haha!
GTKY: what do you do for a living? What are your plans when LO comes regarding work? I used to be a teacher but have stayed home since DD1 was born. I "sell" Mary Kay (really only to a few people anymore) and I also have an etsy shop where I crochet custom orders. I'll be shutting down both once the new baby comes, but hopefully can pick it back up again someday. It doesn't make us a ton of money, but some supplemental income is fun for shopping and everything!

It's really hard to work full-time with a little one. I did my full-time internship with a 2 yr old, it was rough for both of us. That was after 1.5 yrs of part-time internships. I started the program when she was 8 weeks old, I don't regret it, but it was so hard to leave her so often. I cried many times because I missed her so much, and she is very affectionate so she'd just want me to hold her for hours.
What size is baby? coconut (?) or eggplant, those seem really different to me!
Upcoming appointments? my last monthly check up on Tuesday, then begins the every 2 weeks appointments. Also should have results from my 3 hour glucose on Monday, fingers crossed that will be good news!
Rants/Raves/Questions? I feel like maybe the third trimester is going to be my moodiest. I haven't had crazy mood swings/hormonal stuff most of the pregnancy, but lately.. Ugh the aggression! Especially while driving, can't tell you how many times I've wagged my middle finger in the window in the last 2 weeks! My patience is just gone with everyone!
Symptoms? officially can no longer sleep. If I make it til 2:00 am I'm doing good, then I'm wide awake! Lower back pain is continuing as well as carpal tunnel.. Annoying but tolerable. Still crazy hungry and want to eat everything in sight, hoping that slows down eventually!
GTKY: what do you do for a living? What are your plans when LO comes regarding work? I work in social services, specifically for a mentoring program for at risk youth. The potential to completely love my job is there, (the kids are amazing!) but the horrendous management makes it nearly impossible..another source of my aggression. Unfortunately I will be going back full time after my 12 weeks of maternity leave. Really considering doing some serious job searching during my time off if I can manage.

Rants/Raves/Questions? DH finally finished cleaning out the nursery and installed a fan. We also got a few samples of paint colors so I'm excited to narrow it down and pick one out!!
Symptoms? Not sleeping well, harder to move around, eating all the time, nothing out of the ordinary
GTKY: what do you do for a living? What are your plans when LO comes regarding work? I'm a child and adolescent psychotherapist. I work at a small private practice so I don't get any benefits. I plan to take off 2-3 months depending on how much money we can save up. Then I will go back to work part time.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I had a prenatal massage planned for today, but something came up and I had to re-schedule....for 2 weeks from now. My back is killing me from sleep.
Symptoms? same old same old at this point. I gave in and bought a boppy body pillow. Should come in this week. I'm skeptical that it will make a difference.
GTKY: what do you do for a living? What are your plans when LO comes regarding work? I work as the associate director of student activities at a private, elite liberal arts college in the northeast. It's a lot of hours, but I love working with my student leaders. They are the best part of my job! I often work some odd hours, so DH and I have to sit down and figure out the best schedule, since most day care places near the house close at 5:30pm and I work about 30 minutes away. DH works closer to home, so he might end up doing pick up while I do drop off. We have some time to figure it out!
@jandd2014 At my school, I would only be allowed to work part time if I had a particular job that was specifically part time (like as a reading interventionist or something)... but I wouldn't be able to as a teacher (I teach elementary music). They don't allow job sharing in my district anymore.. although they used to. I wish they did.

GTKY: what do you do for a living? What are your plans when LO comes regarding work? I teach elementary music and also play French horn in our local professional orchestra. I'm an extremely busy lady. Not sure how I'm going to manage all of these things after the baby is born. I wish I could quit my teaching job and just play in the orchestra, but we really need the money because of all our debts. I also really do love my teaching job! It just wears me out. Guess I'll just have to live with a crazy, full, happy life and a very messy house.

So annoyed I don't get my glucose drink ahead of time. Pretty sure I would appreciate the colder temperature and less time at the office.
Leg cramps are terrible. Pretty scary how bad they already are, got quite a bit of time before I meet baby. Pretty hungry too.
Working a few nights a week in a restaurant. Will go back into full time nursing when new baby is past the newborn stage.
What size is baby? a nintendo. There is a nintendo inside of me. Explains my large feelingness.
Upcoming appointments? Nope! But had one this past week where I was measuring 5 weeks ahead after measuring 3 weeks ahead the 2 weeks before. So if I measure two weeks ahead AGAIN then they will make me have an ultrasound to check for size...and they might have picked the wrong conception date.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I am a bit larger than last time around and I am not even eating all that badly! I spent a few weeks with an "I will eat all!" mentality but can't really eat a whole lot right now all at once, so I just don't eat a lot in general. But that being said, I am the exact weight now that I was when I delivered DS, and measuring ahead. I don't have GD, my numbers were fine, and I don't have high blood pressure or swelling or anything else so they aren't worried but if I gain 2lbs before the next appt they are gonna yell at me and its stressing me out. Trying to have better snacks available at all times.
Symptoms? Not sleeping well, tired, can't eat a lot. I am having these weird feeling in my bump region that seem like "butterflies" in my stomach-I thought they were just LO moving around and taking/putting pressure on my lungs so I could alternately breathe/not breathe (I don't even know if that makes sense?) but I have been paying attention to my belly when it happens and it hardens up all over. I wonder if these are BH? I never noticed them last time so I don't really know what I should be looking for.
GTKY: what do you do for a living? What are your plans when LO comes regarding work? I am an elementary math/science teacher. I do love my job but my administrator is making my life hell and he's such an ass-Day 3 of school he came in and yelled at me and my colleage, insisting we change routines because our kids don't have it down yet. It's day three. We have all the behavior kids and almost 100% of the IEPs in the SCHOOL. Day 3 is not the day to expect perfection from ANY classroom, let alone our two, lol. So I am taking an entire year when I was only planning on taking the 12 weeks, and hoping he leaves by next school year. I might even just stay at home if I love it!

Upcoming appointments? I have one this Tuesday- it will be my glucose testing as well. I'm not sure why we went a week early so I'm not sure if I will wait 3 weeks for the next appointment or start biweekly from here. I'm hoping we get to schedule our 30 week ultrasound to see where my placenta has "landed" to determine if I really have placenta previa or not.

GTKY: what do you do for a living? What are your plans when LO comes regarding work? I currently work from home as a case manager for individuals who have developmental disabilities and are receiving services from the Medicaid DD Waiver. It's a much happier job than my previous job (Fatality Specialist for the Department of Child Services where I was on call 24/7) and I'm looking forward to a much easier return to work than with DS1. With DS1, I went back to long days, having to figure out a pump at work at DS1 who was having major health issues, on call all the time, and then with my line of work I saw horrible horrible things. I am happy to say I hope none of this happens this time around- (well, I think I will still be pumping, but not to the extent I was!)
My DD 1 was 6 days ahead, she weighed about 9 lbs (technically it was 8 11, but she'd pooped already, so I like to say 9 lbs! Lol)
DD2 was 2 days ahead, she weighed 8lbs 7oz.
This little guy was measuring 8 days ahead.
But hey, more ultrasounds are great!
@Gizmo1231 oh my gosh. You should've seen my face when I read what your previous job was. That must've been traumatizing. Glad you have a happier position!
As it turns out, I will be staying home and not doing my masters. DH and I talked, and we decided together that the best thing for me, our baby, and our family is if I just nanny again until our DS goes to school. A family that I used to provide daycare for, and are now good friends, have been begging me to take their DD and new DS. So I get to be a mommy to a whole bundle of kids again. I'm excited
Adulting is so hard.
DS was 9lbs 5 ounces when he came out! I'm hoping this little nugget isn't any bigger, and its just a due date change I need..
