Re: **First Trimester Check-in - Week of September 5th**

  • Hey all! I'm glad to see everyone's updates.  I don't have much to report.  Hubs is home for a week and was able to come to the RE appointment.  Baby looks great. I've been crazy tired and super hungry.  I've already gained about 10 pounds, and I'm wearing maternity clothes.  My bra size has gone up by a full cup already, too!  I don't mind the body changes, but I'm just concerned that it's still pretty early (9 weeks, 4 days). Someone told me that I looked pregnant at work today. Not sure if that's good or not.

QOTW- I went to a cookout for Labor Day. It was crazy hot, and I sat in my chair the whole time. It was a nice change of pace though to get out of the house and get some fresh air.

  • Woah @cmm012, what's your secret for gaining weight? All I can seem to do is lose it! Obviously eat food, but have you had any nausea that's prevented you from eating a proper amount? If so, how did you counter it?

  • @AandDM2014 Eating actually keeps nausea away.  If I don't eat enough I'll definitely start to fill sick.  I have not vomited, but I do feel nauseous from time to time. I guess weight gain a good trade off to minimal nausea.

  • So many u/s, so exciting!  Had my 9wk u/s today.  I still haven't been given an "official" due date, but based on transfer date would put me at 9+1 today. RE said I'm measuring at 8.5-9 weeks and didn't seem concerned! They reduced me from 2 to 1 estrace a day (yay!) but still have to do 2 crinone a day until I graduate next week!  So crazy how fast this is going!!

  • ergh so I'm not the only one losing weight @AandDM2014 I mean, I'm not terribly unhappy about it but I cannot seem to find food to eat. what works one day, makes me feel sick the next. I must admit I do feel better when I eat "proper" meals but deciding on something to eat has got me beat. It's starting to get me really down. If I see one more dry cracker...

  • Agreed @teriulbricht! I'm having such a hard time even maintaining my weight! I am a bit bummed because I'm on the smaller side to begin with, so don't have much to lose before its worrisome. My doc doesn't seem concerned though, which I guess is good. I too have a tough time finding foods I'll want more than once. It makes shopping for groceries hard!
