DH FINALLY seems happy...

This was a surprise pregnancy, and we literally got pregnant on our wedding night, so I understand that DH has been a little shocked and maybe not as excited as I have been. Because of that, I've been trying to be understanding of his feelings even though lately I was getting worried since he NEVER seemed to get excited about it.

Last night though as we were going to sleep, he started rubbing my belly and said "I love holding my two babies" and hugged me.

It doesn't seem like a big deal, but it was huge to me. He has avoided touching my stomach like the plague and never really referred to baby as a person. He finally seems happy about it, so now I'm even happier. Party!!!

    It's so hard when you feel alone in pregnancy.  Congrats on feeling some support and love.

    Ah, that was sweet of him.  My DH was all about my getting KTFU, but I still love it when he shows sign of loving/being connected to the babe.

    Just to be clear though, he's been great at other things. He helps big time around the house, gets me drinks, etc, etc, it's just that the emotion is there now. That's almost more important to me that he's there mentally. Big Smile

    I think that's a huge deal.  Any time DH expresses interest in baby things I really appreciate it.  Glad to hear he is now getting into it.
