Sanctimommies wtf?

I hope no one is upset that I started a thread just for this, but, I feel like it needed to be done. Haha. Wtf is up with this sanctimommies group on Facebook? Has anyone dealt with them? They are absolutely ridiculous. I understand if you want to provide different opinions for how to raise a child, but they literally crucify people in there if they have different beliefs/values. It's insane. Don't tell me how to raise my child. I'll gladly discuss new/different parenting styles with you ladies, but the second you call me a "shit mom," I'm goin momma bear psycho on your ass.

    What? Seems like a group I'd like to follow just for entertainment.  :D I'm gonna have to go look this up. I love that everyone has a different perspective on how to raise their child. And what's so amazing is that it's not a "one size fits all" journey. What works for me, my child, and my family may not work for you, your child, and your family. I try not to pass judgement on any mom because I understand that I DONT understand their struggles and daily life.

    @KirstinH88 It's definitely entertaining. At one point I just started trolling them and having a meme party. Lol ridiculous though

    checked it out and had to immediately leave the group. Just took a sec to scroll through one post and saw that one new mom joined and they were going through her photos, copying them, and pointing out everything wrong in them (snack choice, sleep position, car seat, projectiles in the car) while making fun of her. That's some next level scary sh*t.

    I love that group.  I've also learned to not take anything personally and hang out just for the laughs.

    @Dannylion24 No!  It's a totally sarcastic group.  I'm sure some people mean what they say when they are bashing people, but for the most part it's just people trying to be funny.

    That type of humor is not my cup of tea. I was bullied and teased my whole childhood. I don't understand how people can bully like that as adults.

    When I was a kid I saw a simplified definition of sarcasm that read something along the lines of "a joke with the intention to hurt others" and I've always found it to be a low class/ low status sense of humour... Possibly because of that memory alone, weird what random stuff sticks to you over the years. I had difficulties understanding socialization growing up and that's been one that still baffles me. Not for everyone I guess.

    Ok - a thousand apologies for bringing this thread back to life but I meant to write in days ago -  I'm wondering if the disconnect here is because there are two similar FB groups. The "Sanctimommy" open group that seems like a satiracle laughfest poking fun at everyone (including itself) and "Sanctimommies" which is a private group and appeared (at least to me in the few minutes I explored it) a bit darker? Just throwing that out there bc I love me some sarcasm and usually don't 'miss the joke' by this much! I could still be off of course.
